  1. Good intentioned Crime Lord. Very original, never been done before. To be fair to Yuri, there is more to him than that. Skill Levels: Boons in Sword (D+), Reason (E+), Faith (D), Authority (D+). Talent in Bows. Banes in Lances, Axes, Riding, and Flying. The Axe Bane hurts, past that he’s passable. The Bow Talent is only good for Hit +20. Sorry, but do you really want yet another ‘skilled, speedy archer’? Abilities: Honorable Spirit is badly worded. When he’s adjacent tot an enemy without any ally adjacent to him. More trouble than it’s worth, most of the time. He gets Battalion Vantage (C) and Model Leader (C+). We’ve all agree these are nearly useless, yes? Arts: Windsweep (C+) and Finesse Blade (A). Windsweep at C+? I see. Early game utility, huh? His Bow Talent gives Deadeye. Ah, yes, lets use a unit who’s meant to double with a fairly weak Bow Art. Spells: Yuri gets a pretty good Spell list. For Reason, he gets Wind (D), Cutting Gale (C), Sagittae (B), and Excalibur (A). For Faith, Heal and Nosferatu, Recover (C), Silence (B), and Aura (A). The Reason spells complements his high Speed, while Aura (If you get it) helps with his meh Magic. Stats: 25+30% HP and 6+35% Defense. Ok at the start, but he gets squishy quickly. 8+35% Resistance is only slightly better. 7+35% Magic, 8+40% Dexterity, and 8+45% Luck are Ok (none of these stats are all that important). 9+50% Charm makes him one of the strongest Gambiters. 11+40% Strength is par for the course. His speed, though… 10+65% Speed. Aside from Juritza, he is the fastest male character. To bad he doesn’t get Darting Blow. Classes: Beginner- Myrmidon for Speed +2 or Mage for Magic Intermediate- Mercinary, Thief, or Mage Advanced- Swordmaster, Assassin, or Warlock (Trickster only has Foul Play to its name) Master- Mortal Savant The Verdict Basically a Lord. Has a strengthened support with Byleth. His Relic is one of the best, but the only thing that he has better than anyone else is Pavise/Agis. Pretty decent mixed unit, in all honesty. 8/10 (As a side note, do we not have a name for the Damage granting supports? Like the ones Byleth+lords or Seteth+Flayn?)
  2. Wow, you guys sure are diverse! Me? Well, I was born and raised in the USA, so I speak English. How well I speak it depends on how well I slept last night. I don't get much sleep, is what I'm saying. Enough of the off-topic, though. I took Spanish in High School, and got fairy decent at it, but there are absolutely no opportunities to practice it where I live. Past that, I've picked up a few words of various languages here and there, and use them in daily life. I use Spanish numbers for 1-10, Nein instead of No, Ci instead of yes, and occasionally use Nani instead of What. I did it first because I thought I was funny, but now I do it by nature.
  3. I like Anna. Not in TH. She's worse than most other characters, yet IS had the gall to make her paid DLC? Hope you guys don't mind... Skill Levels: I have not used her, and Abilities: will not use her. If fact, Arts: I protest IS cheeping us out Spells: on this front. She’s paid DLC, Stats: and yet she has no supports Classes: and a nonexistent personal. Why use her? The Verdict GTFO. Eh Bases, bad Growths, no Personal Skill, decent Sword Arts. 2/10
  4. For Hard Mode? No Pulse, no Auxiliary Battles, use only the people starting in your House. That's what I'd recommend. Of course, Hard is a cakewalk, even then. Maddening is overrated in terms of difficulty. It's front loaded as all hell, but if you can get through first 4-5 fights, it gets much easier. There's a difficulty spike when Advanced Class enemies show up. Then it gets easier again until ~1-2 Chapters before endgame.
  5. The Schizophrenic Psychopath. I don’t particularly like him, but I do pity him. Stat-wise, he’s well and truly insane. Skill Levels: Boons: Sword (B+ Maddening, A other), Lance (A+), Brawling (C+), Riding (A). Talent in Flying. Bane in Faith and Authority. The Authority Bane is a non-issue, given that he starts with B Rank. He also has C+ Axes, D Bows, and D Reason. More or less he needs absolutely no Tutoring. Abilities: Murderous Intent is reskinned Certain Blow. He gets Darting Blow from his Talent. Arts: Why does he get Haze Slice when he has Windsweep (A)? other starting Arts are Nimble Combo, Shatter Slash, and Glowing Ember. Not the best, but still solid. Stats: Considering he’s in CF, his Growths don’t matter all that much, but they’re still pretty good. 53+35% HP, 32+50% Strength, 27+60% Speed, and 24+40% Defense are all he really needs. 18 Base Res is good enough, never mind the 25% Growth. His only real problem is his 10+25% Charm, leaving him wide open for Gambits. Classes: Do you really have time to go about snatching up Masteries? 6 Chapters? I don’t think so. Leave him in Death Knight, and don’t look back. The Verdict The Gotoh of Three Houses. Comes ready built and just as good as anyone else. Maybe even better. 9/10. Enough said.
  6. Eh. Fair enough, I guess. It's more that he failed to beat Alm then that he failed to be strong. Fallen Berkut vs Berserk Ashnard. The more I think on it, the more it seems Berkut can (Maybe?) win. The range advantage effectively doubles his damage output, so... It more depends on if Ashnard doubles him, I think. Never mind that. Just remembered what Berserk Ashnard is like. 80 Hp, 40 Strength, 30 Skill, 28 Speed, and 35 Defense are absurd, especially considering that the Beorc classes best comparative caps are 30 Strength (Warrior), Skill (Sniper), Speed (Swordmaster), and Defense (General). He also has Gurgurant (20 Mt, 90 Hit, Nullifies crits), and has Renewal and Daunt. Berkut can't compete with that!
  7. Screw this guy. He’s the only character that actually offends me. I know he has a reason for what he does, but self-hatred isn’t serving anyone. Gah, I need to stop before this turns into a rant about how much I hate him. Skill Levels: Boons: B+ Lance and Axe, B Armor, and C Riding. No Banes. D+ base Authority. He starts within 5 Ranks of the Great Knight exam (Armor B -> A, and Riding C -> B+) Abilities: Veteran Knight makes him a bit more Tanky. He starts with Rally Defense, but that is of no use on him. He gets Battalion Wrath at C. Crit build good, etc. Arts: He has more Lance Arts that Axe Arts. Odd. Shatter Slash is good for the occasion tough Boss or Monster while Spike is slightly better that Smash. At A Lances, he gets Glowing Ember, which does pretty good damage Stats: He’s more or less worse Dedue. 61+55% HP and 30+45% Defense is great bulk. 26+45% Strength is decent. His other stats are mostly irrelevant. Speed (2 Base), Res (7), and Charm (16) are all very bad. Classes: Eh, master what you will. Great Knight is his only viable Master Class as he starts at E Brawling. He would’ve liked QR. The Verdict He replaces Dedue as your main tank for the 2 Chapters he’s absent. After that, he makes a meh filler Great Knight. 3/10
  8. I meant at peak power. I assume Kriemhild would count as a blessed weapon, given that it was from Duma. Berkut is a Gold Knight, is also famous for his strength, and (before Alm finds out) is the Crown Prince of Rigel. Discounting grinding, Berkut is one of the strongest bosses in the game. Berkut's weapon - Kriemhild - is also strong and has 1-3 range. To quote Berkut: "All that's ever been ask of me is strength!" Rigel's Ideals are that of strength. The only difference between Berkut and Ashnard (As far as I see) is their view on the Noble-Commoner relationship. And that Ashnard is insane, but still. Although, if we're counting Duma-blessed Berkut, I guess we have to count Berserk Ashnard, in which case, it's GG.
  9. Do the Kitsune get oneshot? If yes, the Wolfskin win. If no, the Kitsune win. Also if the Kitsune dodge or crit, then they win. Beastbane for the win, eh? So I've got one for you: Do to their conflicting ideologies Berkut and Ashnard are having a go at one another!
  10. Dad Jokes and being generally positive. Alois is likeable. On Hard, Alois is quite good. Not the same for Maddening. Skill Levels: Boons: Axe A, Brawling B, Armor C. Banes: Reason and Flying. I guess putting him in an Armor class would help his bulk a bit. He also has C base Authority. Abilities: The third character with a reskinned Rally skill, Alois has Compassion, which is Rally Luck. To be fair to him, Luck is better than Skill in this game. He begins with Rally Strength and Battalion Wrath. He’s already in Warrior, so all he needs for a Crit build is to class down to Mercenary for Vantage. Arts: One-Two Punch is his best Art. He also starts with Spike and Exhaustive Strike, both of those are decent Arts. At A Brawling he gets Mighty Blow, but we all know the problem with most Gauntlet Arts. A Brave weapon that loses the Brave effect? No thanks. Stats: 50+45% HP and 18+40% Defense, He very bulky. 27+45% Strength is very good. So, now for the discrepancy between Hard and Maddening: His 15+40% Speed. On Hard, that’s Ok, he won’t be doubled by that much. Enter Maddening. 15 Speed is only enough to double Armors, while pretty much anything else doubles him. This is remedied latter on by QR and early on by Gauntlets. His 8+20% Resistance is pretty bad. Combine with his low Speed, and any Magic will destroy him, or leave him low enough for him to be killed by a Physical attacker. His other stats are middling and not worth mention. Classes: Intermediate- Class down for Vantage (Mercenary) and/or Death Blow (Brigand) Advanced- Warrior is good enough. If you do need to change his Class, Grappler for FIF or Fortress for the Defense Master- Alois is very close to getting War Master, just 1 Rank away in Brawling. The Verdict High Damage. Solid Physical Bulk. Atrocious Speed and Resistance. You will probably have a solid team by the point he joins, so he doesn’t really have a place to fit in. But if you’re doing a Ironman or have RNG screwed Gauntlet users, then go ham with Alois. 5/10. Good filler material.
  11. Cain was the one who went to war with Cornelius, not Abel. And injuries aren't a good indicator of skill (Cornelius died, after all, but Cain was only injured). But this is just me nitpicking. Ignore this. If Sylvain is using the LoR, then he will have next to no chance of hitting Selkie, who also has Beastbane in her favor, so I'd guess Selkie wins this.
  12. True. But if it is a joust, then they are likely not all fighting at once. So they could just hand the lance off to their friend. Aside from that, I guess Silver?
  13. (Wait, this thread is still going?) Lore-wise, I'd say Abel & Cain win out as I believe they are older (Assuming it's cannon, Cain is 24, as stated in a certain novel written by Takayashiki Hideo) and thusly more experienced. Of course IDK how old Alan & Lance are. They appear look younger, but that may just be me. On a side note, it also depends. What lances are we talking? Silver? Their respective Legendaries? Horseslayers?
  14. Ah, yes. The utter mess of a woman. A drunkard and slob. Joy. And she actually thinks there’s nothing wrong with her! Speaking of, stats. She’s first recruitable at Lv 15. Skill Levels: Boons: C+ Swords, B Faith, and D Flying. Banes: Reason (Ouch) and Armor. A bit of a tricky one, this. Abilities: Infirmary Master cuts down on Crit rate. Aside from the DK, this is only ever good against the occasional Killer Weapon wielder. Rally Charm (D) is of dubious usefulness. Battalion Renewal (C) is bad. Arts: Manuela starts with her only Art: Hexblade. Why is it that Hexblade and Soulblade wielders always want the other Art? It still does Ok damage. Spells: Ugh, leveling Manuela’s Reason. What a pain. Thunder (D), Bolganone (C), and Bolting (A). Trying to get Bolting is suffering. For Faith, she starts with Heal, Nosferatu, Ward, and Silence. She gets Warp at A. Warp is good, getting Ward instead of Physic/Recover is terrible, and Silence has only a couple times when it’s not just free Exp. Stats: Ok, I’ll make it short for you, Manuela’s Growths are basically Ingrid’s, but with less Resistance and more HP and Charm. Her bases aren’t anything to write home about, either. Classes: Intermediate- Mage if you can suffer through it, Priest if you can’t Advanced- Bishop Master- N/A. Sorry but She can’t really get into any of the Master Classes efficiently. The Verdict Warp utility. Check. Nuke option. Half-Check. Good healing. Nonexistent. Actually variable? That’s a nope for me. That Bane in Reason kills her usefulness. Anything she can do, someone else does better, especially by the time she joins. 3/10, still better than Ashe and SS Cyril.
  15. The dapper gent himself. His dedication is admirable and his reason for that dedication is even more so. Hanneman is a good fellow. Starts at Level 15. His stats, though… Skill Levels: Boons: Bow C+, Reason B, Riding D. Dark Knight. Bow Knight? Eh, for a meme. Banes: Armor and Flying. Abilities: Crest Scholar is a reskinned Rally Magic. Unfortunately, he gets no other Rallies. Instead, he gets Battalion Desperation (C). With his abyssal Speed stat. Joy. Arts: He starts with Schism Shot. Seal Res in Art format. He gets Ward Arrow at A Bows. Silence in Art format. So, debuffs then. Spells: Hanneman starts with Wind, Sagittae, and Thoron. He also gets Ragnarok (A) and Meteor (A+). Suiting, viable spells! From Faith, he gets Heal, Nosferatu, Recover (C), and Ward (B). Decent. Stats: 20+55% Magic and 17+40% Res. Everything else is useless. Classes: Intermediate- Mage Advanced- Warlock Master- Dark Knight The Verdict Honestly, I don’t think his atrocious Speed is anything new. There are what, like 2 Magic users with ≥45% Speed? Everything below that is what I would call slow. 4/10
  16. Fish girl is here. This is what, like the fifth little-girl-who’s-far-older-than-she-looks character? 1. Tiki, 2. Nowi, 3. Nah, 4. Nyx, 5. Is Flayn. Huh. She’s not only the first without a N name, she’s also the first that’s properly dressed for her appearance (Maybe Tiki?). That’s done. Stats. Skill Levels: Boons: Lance C, Faith C+. Budding Talent in Reason. For whatever reason, she starts with D Flying. Banes: Armor and Riding. Odd boon-Bane set here. Abilities: Lily’s Poise takes the edge off of damage dealth to adjacent allies. Rally Luck (D) and Battalion Renewal (C). Whoop de flippin’ do. Arts: Hit and Run (C+) is only useful for the fall-back effect. Frozen Lance (A), however, is useful. If you want to get her to A Lances, that is. Spells: Wind (D), Fire (D+), Cutting Gale (C), Excalibur (A). Same problem as Annette, strong but slow mage using weak but light spells. Eh, Excalibur is still good. Flayn starts with Heal, Nosferatu, and Restore. She also gets Rescue (B) and Fortify (A). decent list here. Stats: 15+55% Magic, 19+50% Res, 16+45% Charm. These are the highlights of her growths. Also, 15% Luck? Classes: Mage for Fiendish Blow, then onto Priest and Bishop. Forget Master Classes. The Verdict She has Fortify and Rescue, a passable Reason list, and Frozen lance. She has a Strengthened (IDK what else to call it) Support with Byleth, so you could just stick her to Byleth as an adjutant. She also doesn’t have a very good class path. Not much else to say. 5/10
  17. I have nothing to say about Shamir. She’s there, character wise. Skill Levels: Boons: Lance C+ and Bow A. Bane is Faith. She would’ve liked a Riding boon, or at the least a non-zero base in the Skill. Abilities: Survival Instinct is pretty good, but why does it give Magic? Def, or even Luck, would’ve been better. Why does she get Battalion Desperation? She’s a Sniper, or maybe a Bow Knight, she’ll outrange anything! Arts: She starts with Hit and Run (Lance), Heavy Draw (Bow), and Monster Blast (Bow). And Lance Jab at A Lances. That last one is decent. Stats: 21+55% Dex and 17+55% Luck are good for Crits. 18+40% Strength and 14+40% Speed isn’t good. She shouldn’t be in enemy range, so her bad HP, Defense, Res, and Charm are a non-issue. Classes: Drop down to Archer for the Hit +20, maybe Brigand for DB. After that stay Sniper unless you don’t want Hunter’s Volley and/or don’t want to get her Riding to B+. The Verdict Shamir’s OK. I don’t have much of an opinion on her. She’s still better than Ashe and Ignatz, and maybe Bernadetta. Like most of the other Church units, she makes for good filler if you need her. 6/10.
  18. Cyril if he was a woman in her mid-twenties. And replace ‘Work, work, work’ with ’Fight, fight, fight’. Skill Levels: Like Cyril, Catherine’s Stats vary depending on the route. Boon in Sword and Brawl, Bane in Reason. A Swords and D Authority. In SS She has B Brawling, in the others she has C Brawling. (A Swords means she can use the Sword of Zoltan at base. You get one from Felix-Dimitri B support. Oi) Abilities: Fighting Spirit is… Just… Why? She should always have a Battalion and unlike Felix’s Lone Wolf, the stat boost isn’t worth it. Battalion Vantage (C) may be of use, given Swordmaster’s innate Crit. Arts: Bane of Monsters bad. Finesse Blade is Ok. Both Nimble Combo and Bombard? Uh, sure? It’s good, but why both? Stats: Catherine’s Bases are great, and her Growths are a little worse than Felix’s but that still means she’s strong. 50% HP and Strength, 25% Magic and Charm, 40% Dex, 55% Speed, 30% Luck and Defense. SS: Level 21, 46 HP, 24 Strength, 10 Magic, 17 Dex, 28 Speed, 12 Luck, 17 Defense, 8 Res, and 10 Charm. (This next bit is a bit misleading, given that these are her stats at Lv 7(!), when you are Lv 15(!!), and recruit her in Chapter 4(!!!). It can be lowered, yes, but it’s not that great an idea until Chapter 5) Other: 33 HP, 19 Strength, 8 Magic, 13 Dex, 18 Speed, 10 Luck, 13 Defense, 8 Res, and 6 charm. Her SS stats are decent. AM and VW, though? 19 Strength and 18 Speed by Chapter 4? Solid is an understatement. Her other stats are Ok (Barely anyone has good Charm when it comes to Maddening). Classes: Aside from grabbing some Masteries, there is no need to change from Swordmaster, unless you want the Assassin’s mobility. The Verdict Similar to Felix. Comparably powerful. But she lacks several of his options. Thunderbrand is a pretty good Relic, and Foudroyant Strike is pretty damn strong. Catherine is easily worth 8/10.
  19. Sod off janitor man. I greatly dislike this toad. Did you know he likes Rhea? Or that he likes working? What about liking Rhea? Did I already mention Rhea? … … … I said enough on this front. Skill Levels: Boons are Lances, Axes, Bows, Riding, and Flying. Banes in Reason and Faith. His base skill levels depend on the route you’re playing: In SS he starts with B Axes and B* Bows, but in AM and VW he has C+ Axes and C Bows. Pretty good base Ranks in AM and VW, but SS… Oi. *In Maddening, he starts 1 rank lower, at C+ Bows. Abilities: Aptitude… Why? Why bother with this? +20% growth is great! Not on a unit whose highest growths are ≤40%. If they wanted to make him a good growth unit, then they should’ve given him +15 - 20% more growths and an actual personal skill. Ok, so Aptitude rant over, moving on. Battalion Desperation (C) is as useless as ever. Arts: Welcome to the fun show! You want Lance Arts? How about Vengeance (C+) and Lance Jab (A)?! For Axes we’ve got Armored Strike (A)! And for Bows, behold the mighty Point-Blank Volley (C+)!!! Oh, and Monster Breaker (C+) is sitting in its cage back on the bench. Yeah… To say Cyril has good Arts is an understatement. Stats: Like his Skill Levels, his base stats depend on the route. His growths are the same, though. Speaking of, they’re worse than I had though! With Aptitude counted, his growths are: 55% Hp, 40% Strength, 35% Magic, 60% Skill and Speed, 50% Luck, 30% Defense and Resistance, and 35% Charm. I’ll hold off until I go over his Bases to break this down. Speaking of: In AM and VW- Lv 9, 28 Hp, 10 Strength, 7 Magic, 11 Dexterity and Speed, 10 Luck, 7 Defense, 4 Resistance, and 7 Charm. In SS- Lv 21, 35 Hp, 15 Strength, 11 Magic, 18 Dexterity and Skill, 16 Luck, 11 Defense, 8 Resistance, and 11 Charm. So, because he doesn’t get any free Certifications, his Bases suffer for it. And his growths aren’t even that grand. So what are we left with? Frail, fairly weak, and wide open to Gambits. At least he has his Arts and speediness. Classes: Beginer- Skip this, unless you really want Reposition. Intermidiate- Brigand or Archer Advanced- Wyvern Rider, Sniper or Paladin. Master- Wyvern Lord or Bow Knight The Verdict Better than the other ‘Speedy Archers’ (Ashe, Bernie, and Ignatz). Correction, he would be, if he joined as early as possible (e.g. Chapter 1 or 2). But he doesn’t. Like his Skill Ranks and Base Stats, his rating varies between routes. In AM and WV, I give him 6/10, mostly due to those Arts. SS, however… He joins so late, with such bad Bases and without any Base Ranks in Riding or Flying. For SS, he is useless, so… 0/10. To make him useable in SS, you’d have to baby him for far too long to make any use of him. So, in 2 routes, he gets 6 and in the other, he gets 0. His average rating is 4/10.
  20. It’s Seteth. The dude has a lot of hidden facets. That’s all I’ll say about him. He starts at Level 23. Skill Levels: Boons: Sword D+, Lance B+ (But oddly, in Maddening, he has B), Axe B, Authority B+ (Same as Lance), and Flying C. Bane: Riding. Solid all around. Abilities: Guardian is mostly irrelevant by the time he joins. He gets Rallies Defense (D) and Res (S), Battalions Wrath (C) and Desperation (A), and Model Leader (C+). The Rallies are Ok, Wrath is good, Desperation and Model Leader are as useless as always. Arts: His Sword Art - Haze Slash (C+) - is still watered down Windsweep. Axe Arts are Focued Strike and Diamond Axe (A). Both are bad. Lances yield Monster Piercer and Swift Strikes. Monster Arts bad, blah, blah, blah. Swift Strikes, though. Remember how good it is on Ferdinand and Sylvain? It’s even better on Seteth given his Major Crest yields a Total of 75% (50% twice) chance to stop any counter that would occur. Stats: 48+50% HP and 27+45 Strength is rock solid, 20+50% Skill, 19+50% Speed, and 21+30% Defense could be better.12+25% Luck and 8+25% Res are bad. 20+45% Charm is great on Hard, but on Maddening, it just doesn’t cut it. Also 15+35% Magic. Whatever. Classes: Ugh, if you want skills from Masteries, just class him down. Past that, keep him in Wyvern Rider and promote to Lord when able. As for the masteries he wants, I’d say Death Blow (Brigand) and Reposition (Soldier). The Verdict For your SS Lord rip-off, Seteth is quite the decent unit. I’d say he’s a close contender for the Gotoh archetype in Three Houses. Grab DB and get his Lance rank up to A, and he’ll put in some heavy work. 8/10, low investment, above average reward.
  21. … … … I got nothin’. No one should have anything on Byleth’s character, given that Byleth’s character in nothing. As for stats… Skill Levels: Boons in Sword (D+), Brawling (E+), and Authority (D). Budding Talent in Faith. No Banes, either. Could be better, but not by much. Abilities: Professor’s Guidance is not much to talk about in any mode but Maddening, but in Maddening, it is quite useful. The +2 Damage letter on doesn’t do all that much. They do have a long list of Abilities, but are they useful in any way? No. Battalions Vantage (C) and Desperation (A), Model Leader (C+), and Rally Movement (S). Without any other Rallies, I’d consider RM to be an opportunity cost, and without Wrath both of his other Battalion Skills are useless. Arts: I’ll tell it to you strait, Byleth’s only Art worth mention is Windsweep (A). Spells: For what is supposed to be a Mixed Unit, Byleth’s Spell List is slightly disappointing. Reason yields Fire (D), Thunder (D+), Bolganone(C), and Ragnarok (A). Faith gives Heal, Nosferatu, Recover (C), and Aura (A). Nothing fancy. Stats: Aaaand we have a Mixed Unit. Aside from a 6+35% Magic, 6+35% Defense, and 6+30% Resistance stats, all of Byleth’s stats are solid. 27+45% Hp, 13+45% Strength, 9+45% Dexterity, 8+45% Speed, 8+45% Luck, and 7+45% Charm leave no room for arguing on this front. Above average and well-rounded without being absurd. Classes: Beginner- Myrmidon or Fighter (The +2 Stat Skill is better than Repo for Byleth) Intermediate- Brigand or Pegasus (F! only) for their Blows, other than that either Thief or Brawler (M! only). Or if you want to go off the beaten path, then Mage. Advanced- Swordmaster, Assassin, Grappler (M! only), or if you have the DLC, then War Monk for the Avoid boost with Gauntlets. Master- Enlightened One or War Master (M! only). Maybe Mortal Savant, if yours has an excess of Speed and you want more Magic power. Verdict: Early on, I would call Byleth a contender for the Oifey archetype. Very strong start, followed by a good performance into the late game. Unlike 95% of the other characters, Byleth can go down any path. That's both their biggest asset, and their biggest flaw. Optimal or Unique, which way do you go? For me it's typically Myrmidon > Brawler > Grappler/W. Monk > War Master/Enlightened One. I rate 8/10.
  22. Aside from the Jerralt worshipping, I do like Leonie. Ernest, hard-working, and brutally honest. She proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Fodlan’s Commoners can be just as strong as Nobles. Skill Levels: Boons: D+ Lances, E+ Bows and Riding. Custom built Bow Knight. She also has no Banes, which is always appreciated. Abilities: Rivalry is a decent Personal, but like most others it falls off after a while. C Authority gives Battalion Desperation, which is meh at best. Arts: Monster Piercer (C+) is bad. Lance Jab (A) can be pretty strong, as it scales off her high Speed. Break Shot (C+) is good for Bosses and Monsters as usual. Point-Blank Volley (A) is very good, basically the Bow form of Swift-Strikes. Also, the only other character who gets it is Cyril. Stats: Like Claude, Leonie is like Ashe in stats, but better. 8+55% Skill and 9+60% Speed are some of the highest in the game. And a 40% growth in HP (26 base), Strength (9), Luck (6), Defense (7), and Charm (7). She’s clearly physical, so 5+20% Magic is, once again, irrelevant. 2+15% Resistance isn’t irrelevant, however. Ok so, quick question. Why is Lorenz so bad, then? Leonie isn’t a Lord, nor is she a Lord’s wingman. If Leonie has such absurd stats, why does he have such bad stats? I’d guess it’s just another example of how IS didn’t try to balance the game. At all. Classes: Beginner- Fighter or Soldier Intermediate- Brigand for Death Blow, Archer for Hit +20, and Pegasus for Darting Blow Advanced- Sniper for Bowfaire and Hunter’s Volley or Paladin for Lancefaire Master- Bow Knight, Wyvern Lord, or Falcon The Verdict Leonie is strong. She lacks a crest, yes, but that is rarely an issue. She could get Rng screwed in Strength, if your unlucky. 8.5/10. Not the Best, but very close.
