  1. A couple of people who pitted her against the dracoknight squad that appears when you get the first Heaven Seal would/may beg to differ. (Using a promoted Lyn, mind you.) And she's really capable of going the Tony Montana approach against that very dracoknight squad. And besides, it's not like Guy doesn't have WTD, meaning he is just as vulnerable to those lance users as Lyn is and more so since he is locked onto Swords through and through. And not to mention he suffers the Myrmidon's curse worse than she does. (Which would be a low chance of strength growth.) Which is shown by his growths.
  2. I've attempted to do so on an ocarina, but somewhat failed. The song was "Maiden in the Dark", but since it was such a while ago, I can't exactly remember.
  3. Is there any possibility of Garret looking like Roger Buster from the F-Zero series as well?
  4. It just didn't feel all that accomplishing to me when I did it. (Kurth didn't even get attacked at all in that chapter, so I'm guessing that must be why it didn't feel accomplishing to me.)
  5. I hate to say it, but I don't think that exactly counts as an accomplishment of epic proportions. (Not in my eyes at least.)
  6. Ray. I got Sophie to 20/01, but I went with the one with the higher speed. I found him a Manakete's worst nightmare when equipped with Apocalypse. He basically didn't need Apocalypse to kill those Manaketes though.
  7. Kinda like the avoid of Ninian and Nils, huh? (Seriously, chances are that her avoid will reach the tier of those two and maybe slightly higher.) If it can work for them, it can work for her.
  8. True. But I'm not seeing any parts of scripts online that relate to events after storyline character A is supported with storyline character B except for character endings. (FE7 is a good example.) But, judging by what their favorite pairing are, I don't think they're gonna care either way. *had gotten into a pairing fight because of it*
  9. Would you believe, that in Fire Emblem VII, I had six conversations to go when my data got deleted? (Now I have to get them allllllllllllllllllllll over again. Except for some conversations, I saved what I consider the best conversations for last.)
  10. Long story short, in the long run at 20/20, Guy will edge Lyn out in health and critical rate, Lyn will edge Guy out in strength, luck and resistance. Their skill and speed will be identical, and their defense will be nearly identical. Only supports, RNG blessing to Guy or RNG rape to Lyn, and HHM bonuses make Guy only slightly better. But even so, I'd say Sandman's argument is pretty valid. *information based off of data from the main site*
  11. I wanted to see how it worked for the three bros. I do agree with you on them being pointless, I never actually relied on them anyways, but they can be helpful at times.
  12. FE9 I had Boyd die. And I had Oscar use Swords. It was later on that I found out that he could use a triangle attack with his two bros.
  13. Just a thought. Is it just me? Or does anyone else besides me think that in FE: SD, the pirate guy (whose name is Daros, I think) looks like Packie McReary?
  14. Well, the Fire Emblem series is known for its references. Be they mythological or biblical. The biblical/mythological reference trend is in other series as well, but right now, I'm too lazy to look any up.
  15. I usually for the character development associated with them rather than bonuses.
  16. Dracoknight/Dragon Master Also Cavalier/Paladin
  17. Wil has the same first three letters in my middle name. No FE characters share my first name however.
  18. Lyn and the very person I consider her boyfriend. EDIT: Yep it's a tough choice between those two.
  19. I don't think I've ever used one.
  20. That's actually why they call it a strategy game. And the games aren't so that badly built that one mistake spells instant game over. Radiant Dawn is no exception. And it's true that most Fire Emblem games don't have 80 characters, but what are the chances that every single character would be used throughout most of the game? It's true RD has a good storyline, but there's people out there that think it doesn't beat out Blazing Sword's storyline. (Myself included. I can't say anything about Genology of the Holy War, as I have never played it.) And you have to admit, there wasn't much character development going on with Ed, Nolan, Leo, Fiona, or Meg. Only one or two things are known about those characters. Whereas in other games, most notably FEs 6-9, through support conversations, we get to know things about the characters that we would normally see in the storyline.
  21. I'm guessing they're giving in, if you know what I mean. I don't let others' opinions sway my options. I often use who I want to use. If my choice is considered "bad", that's their problem.
  22. Last time I checked, Lucius had worse durability. But then again, he's not a frontliner to begin with. Besides her luck is often not that far from her speed, giving her a just as high avoid as Ninian and Nils, matching her durability with theirs. Besides, it's not rare to find myrmidons with knight-like defense build. And her resistance is decent enough for her to take on magicians with no sweat. Those very same enemies find themselves in the grave just as soon as they attack her, not to mention she'll most likely dodge their attacks with no problem at all. Just because they're mainly offense orientated doesn't mean they're terrible. Decent, but not terrible. Her only terrible supports are Rath, Wallace, and Eli. The rest of them are more or less decent enough to be effectively used. And some of them are sought after due to the player wanting tosee his/her opinion on "story elements" so whether they're terrible or not are in the eyes of the beholder. Please tell me you're joking. Because I've seen her critical lots despite the numbers. Even more so with a Killing Edge or a Killer Bow. So many headshots, it's not even funny. A non-factor. She doesn't need the Mani Katti to effectively defeat enemies. The Mani Katti is just a bonus. Its like saying Hector relies too much on his Wolf Beil to truly be effective. It's actually 20,000 gil. But it is pretty much mitigated if Matt/Legault and Dart aren't promoted. Aside from HHM bonuses, he's not that far ahead in strength and health. Or any other stats for that matter. As for critical, Guy relies on it too often. I'd rather have a unit that doesn't rely too much on criticals to be effective.
  23. But what's the possibility of reaching those averages? Are the averages so guaranteed that it affects your playstyle? Answer: No. True averages show the possible outcomes, but it necessarily doesn't mean unit A is better than unit B, even when taking critical percentage and weapon versatility into play. Who's better and who's worse is only a matter of perspective.
