  1. There's no reason to not use BEXP.

    Weapon ranks don't matter, since you can always use an Iron Axe if you're worried about not hitting people enough. Or Forge a Steel Axe with 1 Wt. also; pretty sure there's more then two Arms Scrolls. But what are you going to use them on, anyway? I can think of no unit who needs them off the top of my head.

    And there's enough BEXP from the first seven Chapters to force-ram any unit (except Titania, of course) into a promotion on Normal Mode (iirc), assuming they're level 8 or so. I've done it with Mia, so I assume you can do it with Soren/Oscar/Marcia/Boyd/whoever. Of course, it's better to spread it around a little more, but you can find plenty of experience in Normal Mode to get people to 20/20 anyway. The only person who you'd want to not use BEXP on is Ike, because he auto-promotes quite a while after his level normally gets to 20 (I am aware of PEMN, but I don't know what the "average" time for Ike to hit 20 is. Anyone feel like informing me of this?).

    You can only lose in BEXP if you decide to dump it all on, say, Lethe. Then dump her in the next chapter.

  2. Ah~ I would be honoured if you would grace me with the script dump~ You may send it to me via e-mail/PM/instant messenger/whatever-you-like and I'll get to work on it as soon as possible.

    I'll just have to hurry up my progress on Radiant Dawn to get to that section of the game ^^ Shouldn't take more then a day or so~ as said above, feel free to send it to moi whenever you wish and I will complete it post-haste.

  3. I would like future games to retain Path of Radiance's method of promotion; two tiers, promote when the first tier reaches Lv20. I dislike it when I end up with one of my character's reaching Level 20 before their promotion item shows up; this happens frequently with my Lord units in Blazing Sword (not that the system should apply to Lords, of course). Then again, the only real time when I've had a large number of units reach Level 20 before their promotion items show up was in MK404's Blazing Sword hack, as opposed to one-to-three people reach it ("it" being Level 20 prior to promotion items being common), at which point I let them hang around where they started off for the map so everyone else can gain EXP. Or simply don't use them, of course.

    Besides that? A game that isn't a remake; or if it is a remake, have it be a remake of one of the SNES games.

  4. My apologies for returning again; this is more of a question on what the site needs:

    Are you accepting any help in regards to the Radiant Dawn scripts section? As I am playing through Radiant Dawn at this moment in time, it should not be difficult for me to type up the script as I am playing the game. If so, would you kindly inform me of the formatting the site uses (via PMs, if you wish), so that I may type it up with minimum hassle for you?

    If you are not accepting help/you believe that this is something I should not do, then I will not type up the scripts.

  5. Twice, both on Easy. Simply to check out Lehran/Pelleas - Lehran was a total waste of my time, Pelleas was pretty good.

    Now picking up an old Normal playthrough, which was on 1-6-1. Now on 3-1, putting it back on hold again. 3-1 is one of those chapters that despite not being actively difficult, still manages to irritate me a fair bit for some strange reason. Oh, well~

  6. The PAL version actually fixed some of these. It has already been mentioned in the old topic that the "Heron Queen Lillia" got fixed but they also fixed the part where Rolf says he is not realated with Boyd and Oscar.

    Oops, my mistake. I prefer to get the... Seraph Robe (?) from the house rather then a Base conversation, so I've never read the conversation in the PAL version ^^;

  7. Regarding Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, I am curious as to the average stats/growth rates/classes/base stats of No-namezaki the generic soldiers who join up.

    I just thought it would be nice to know, but I'm quite expecting them to be very "generic", with them simply being class growths/class base stats, but perhaps not~ Don't really give this a high priority, it's not that important~ ^^;

  8. I always choose Giffca. Never use the Royal, since I'm too busy trying to get a handful more units towards 20/20 to carry over those important stat-ups to RD.

    Giffca starts with a capped Strength, so +2 for Giffca in Radiant Dawn. "Yaaaaay".

  9. Eh, it looks okay. Ish.

    I don't see why London hosting the Olympics has to do with the end of the world, though. Maybe Usain Bolt will finally become the Flash and kill us all?

  10. In Chapter 12, Heimler (the Paladin with a face, who is not recruitable) has a Door Key (in the European version, at least) which is blacked out, as if it is unusable. But when Heimler first moves, the Door Key vanishes into the ether, without any signs of it having been used on an invisible door of some sort.

    Is there any reason for the Door Key to be there and to suddenly disappear like that? Despite the fact that Heimler has the Door Key below his drop-able Silver Axe, there's no chance of getting the Door Key instead if you use a Warp staff or something.

    Is this some oddity of the game design, or something else~?

  11. May I request answers for the following questions~? Besides this one, of course.

    i) How long would it take for someone to finish FE8 with the minimum amount of grinding?

    ii) In a playthrough of FE8 with minimum grinding, are there any items that are advised against missing out on? (These being items that you are not forced to get, such as weapons.)

    iii) If one is hoping to go through FE8 in the shortest possible time, which route is the best to choose?

    I haven't played this for such a long time (and my game deleted itself, natch) that, since my cousin wants to know these things, that I probably need a little bit of help answering.

    I thank ye for your time~

  12. They aren't exactly the most interesting characters ever. A lot of the personalities reminded me of other FE characters.

    You can only do so many characters in a series before your fans can say "Ooh, X reminds of Y!" Even if you only play one or two games in said series, if Y made an impression and you and so did Z, then you might see bits of Y and Z in X.

    As for more GM stories; No more Tellius. :D

  13. I'd use them if they didn't fade after a few turns >_> When I first used them, I put Rebecca behind it so she could hit her foe on the other side of the Rune (she killed two before a Hero came next to it). When it went down, I had to restart the chapter because it became impossible for her to move without dying because of the Hero that had been waiting next to the Light Rune when it went down.

  14. Micaiah just needed to be in more chapters. While she got one part, one fifth of another part and a third of the last part, she only has five (out of 22?) chapters at second tier and doesn't even have access to the swamp chapter in Part 4 (I usually put the DB in there. They go from mid-second tier to third tier in just a few turns.) to bump her level up. She's only really useful during the desert chapter (if you get somebody who can fly to pick up the Black Knight before he steals your Exp) simply because she has full movement there.
