  1. Oh dear, then you have yet to experience one of my situations in FE8. I sent in a Lvl 20 Myrrh from one side by herself to get to Morva quickly on Chapter 20. However, she accidentally fell in range of a Gorgon's Stone attack and got petrified. Then suddenly, MONSTERS! She is SWARMED with monsters! All of which have over 70% crit rate with EVERY WEAPON. Unfortunately for them (laughably so), even though every hit turned out to be a critical attack, none of the attacks did any damage whatsoever. I can't remember how many times this happened, but every time Myrrh freed herself, she would kill something, only to be petrified again. But yeah, that's one way to see a bunch of monster's critical attacks in FE8. Gorgon, Deathgoyle, Wight, Gwyllgi, Maelduin, they all got their shots.
  2. It's the only way to get a second Strategist, so I'll take any sort of utility I can get at that point. Haha
  3. I'm actually really impressed with a lot of the designs for some of the characters in this game. But some are better than others. The ones I can say I like are Krom, Lucina, Ronku, Grego, Tiamo, Henry, Gaia, Wood, Jerome, Gangrel, Valhart, Sairi, Dezel, Serge, and Viole. The ones I can say I don't like are Emelina, Sumia, Donny, Richt, Mariabel, Nono, Nn, Inverse, Cervantes, Fauder, and Callum. Honestly, I'm on the fence about Sol, Soiree, and Frederick's toilet armor. But hey, it could be worse.
  4. I have a quick question. About the side chapters...I know for some of them that certain units need to be alive and well, and your units have to be married to unlock the rest of them. With the exception of the first 4 side chapters (because if I remember reading it right, those have chapter conditions to unlock), can the rest of them be accessed as soon as the characters are married? Or do those have chapter requirements that need to be fulfilled to unlock, too?
  5. I had figured Sol was a decent substitute for Life Absorb, but now that I think about it, giving MU that skill isn't a bad option. Maybe I can switch it out with Vengeance every so often. I think when the game comes out in North America (it fucking better release overseas, Nintendo, or I'm coming for your heads), I was going to divvy up my units between offense, defense, and support roles. If I make MU female and marry her to Krom, I might make Mark a support character and give him support skills, while still being able to hold his own in battle. Could work for the better.
  6. Marth: Not a bad look. Somewhat effeminate, though. Roy: By far my favorite. Looks pretty badass now. Leaf: Second favorite. His eyes look like they could kill. Micaiah: Is this a joke? She'd have been better off with her old outfit. Alm: Yeah...not big on this one. Looks kind of dumb. Elincia: Not too shabby. But the spear doesn't look like it suits her. I'd really prefer it if either Yoshitaka Amano or Ayami Kojima did a character's art. Hector and/or Ike, plz
  7. I was gonna do MyUnit with this sequence. Grandmaster -> Swordmaster -> Hero -> Assassin -> Sorceror -> Dark Knight Get Magnificent Flame first, then Astra, then Sol, then Lethality, then Vengeance, then finally end at Dark Knight for utility purposes.
  8. I have a few predictions and hopes of my own. Sword of Seals Roy (already confirmed) Lilina Rutger Dieck Zephiel Idenn Hugh Niime Astore Barth Zeiss Gale Cecilia Bartre Fir Alan Lance Rey Lugh Blazing Sword Hector Eliwood Lyn Rath Jaffar Legault Canas Erk Lucius Guy Farina Dart Nergal Athos Ninian Fargus Lloyd Linus Karel Harken Sacred Stones Eirika Ephraim Seth Joshua L'Arachel Natasha Cormag Colm Dozla Ross Gerik Tana Duessel Valter Riev Caellach Lyon Path of Radiance Ike Greil Titania Boyd Oscar Rolf Mia Shinon Gatrie Soren Rhys Mist Jill Ashnard Petrine Bertram Zihark Stefan Bastian Geoffrey Elincia (already confirmed) Tanith Volke Haar Radiant Dawn Micaiah (already confirmed) Nolan Edward Leonardo Sothe Aran Laura Pelleas Lekian Black Knight Sephiran Sigrun Heather Jarod Renning Izuka Ludveck Hefty list, I know, but it could work with some of the characters, I think.
  9. Chicago. Only reason I'm here is because of school. I still love it here, though. :D
  10. You can buy Master Seals normally now? Good shit. This begs the question: Are there any other ways to promote units without the use of Master Seals? Or is that all you can use?
  11. Pretty sure it all depends on how many Change Seals you find to reclass your units. Knowing the series, there probably won't be a lot.
  12. Krom - Great Lord MU - Grandmaster Liz - Battle Sister Frederick - Might reclass to Dracoknight, then Griffon Knight from there Soiree - Great Knight Viole - Sniper Sol - Paladin Miriel - Dark Knight Vake - Berserker, probably Sumia - Falcoknight Callum - General Donny - can he promote? There's no real indication Ronku - Swordmaster Richt - Sage Mariabel - Valkyrie Velvet - might reclass her, depends on what all she can change to Gaia - Assassin Tiamo - Dark Pegasus Grego - Hero Nono - I might keep her as is Libera - keep her as is Sariya - Sorceror Olivia - keep her as is...potentially Serge - Dragonmaster Henry - may or may not reclass him, depends on his options Sairi - Swordmaster until Astra is learned, then reclass to Griffon Knight for Lance Slayer, then back to Swordmaster Tiki - keep as is That's what I'm thinking, anyway.
  13. I noticed something playing through Sacred Stones again the other day. I decided to go in for the kill early and killed Aias in Chapter 13 on Eirika's Route, but it was only Turn 3, and Cormag never showed up, so I couldn't recruit him. From there, I decided to start the chapter over so I could both recruit Cormag and kill Aias for his Knight Crest. But I've got a quick question. If you fail to recruit Cormag in Chapter 13, does he show up in a future chapter, or have you permanently lost out on him?
  14. Epic Fail: At the beginning of Chapter 5, Ross promoted to a Pirate. After recruiting Joshua and clearing out all the enemies, minus Saar, I decided to go do some arena grinding. I threw Seth into the ring at first, but he was close to getting overwhelmed, so I pulled him out and replaced him for Franz. I got Franz all the way up to Lvl 20 no problem. I took him out and replaced him with Ross. On the final battle before Ross hit Lvl 20, he was killed by a shaman. THE LAST. BATTLE. Sad day. T_T
  15. Ok, that's good. Thanks, guys. EDIT: One other thing. Are all the kids hair colors determined by the father?
  16. As much as I like this system, something has been bugging me lately the more that I think about it.

    Howdy

What's up, guys? I'm Karaszure. I occasionally lurk the main site for help on getting certain Supports in the games and learning things about the games that I didn't know before, but I never actually thought about joining the site...until now, that is. The first Fire Emblem game I played, like many American players, was Fire Emblem 7. Before that, I had never heard of the FE series until I saw Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. And after liking the characters so much, I was excited to hear that Blazing Sword was coming to America. I've played every other American FE game to date. My favorites go in this order: Blazing Sword Radiant Dawn Sacred Stones | Path of Radiance (both were equally as good) Shadow Dragon Shadow Dragon left a slightly bad taste in my mouth, since I thought it took what I loved about the past Fire Emblem games and tossed it out the window. I've not played Sword of Seals, either, but if I can find an emulator for Mac that will play it, I'd definitely jump right on that. And I desperately want Heroes of Light & Shadow (FE12) and Awakening to come to America. ;_; With all that being said, I hope I get along with you guys. Thanks for having me.
