Although from what I know of Persona Q and Q2, they use a cop-out at the end to be canon but not affecting anything- memory wipes of everyones' entire experiences in the labyrinths right before they return to their home worlds. Except for the Velvet Room attendees I think.

I doubt Scramble will likewise fry brains though.

Then you have Persona 4 Arena which continues peoples storylines from 3 (and quite a few people didn't like how those turned out, but loved the gameplay)

Does that really matter though? You can still be playable but not be present in the story mode portion. For example Adachi is a playable character in Persona 4 Dancing All Night despite having nothing to do with the game's story and for Musou games Lyn and Celica are playable in Fire Emblem Warriors but you can't unlock them until you do other things well after story mode is finished. I could see Atlus maybe wanting at least one character from Persona 3/4 in order to entice fans of those games to buy Scramble.

We can’t use those as examples, it’s a different Koei team handling this than the others.

Atlus might step in sure, but I don’t see the other games getting much if anything at this current point in time.

How are the old Personas actually?

I've not that much interest in the 3 & later ones, but 1 and the two 2s catch my pity as the "failed and forgotten attempts". I've heard good of P2's plot (with oddly a gay dating option in Innocent Sin, despite being made in 1999). I don't have a PSP, and P1 PS1 I know the whole localization shebang, but I think I could emulate them.

I plowed through SMTI iOS three times, and I've done all but Beelzebub and the Extra Dungeon in Soul Hackers, so I've experience with "old" pre-Nocturne SMT.

1 is a bit rough but still playable, it’s dungeons are more maze like, akin to that of 1, 2 and IF

2’s duology is overall solid as well.

IFs protagonist even cameos in them.

We also had a Persona game titled Persona 4 Arena yet there were characters from Persona 3 in it.

Yet, if what everyone else is saying about a small roster ends up being true I can see it just being the Phantom Thieves plus Akechi (since the Japanese seem to love him), new girl from P5R and at least one or two OC characters added just for this game. Maybe the twin wardens as well. I can still see at least the Protagonists from Persona 3 and 4 being added in as secret characters you unlock for beating story mode or as DLC.

There’s also the tricky thing that Persona spinoffs end up being canon, so some characters that’d be cool from the others might not even be plausible due to story continuity.

I thought I might have been told by a mod topics about games in development can defy the standard rules concerning necroposting, so I'm posting here.

Apparently, Retro Studios has listed some new job openings.

Does this mean anything about the current pace of MP4's development?

Likely means they're restarting again. Or just now beginning to prep the new development.

I wouldn't expect this game for quite awhile.

I'm actually starting to worry a bit. The only thing people seem to want to talk about is the presentation, and they are generally displeased with it.

SF and Reddit are by no means the majority. I seem to recall Xenoblade 2 making records for it's series despite all the screeching about it's character design and how it wasn't Xeno 1.

I don't think you need to worry about what you see on the internet, because it's usually vocal people being crybabies.

I mean it makes sense, because it is a Prison in the Roman Empire. Which is pretty tight about security and they have Adol on their sight in the Roman Empire. So he may be in a undercover mission there. xD

Sadly there are a lots of Kanji I still need to memorize and some are difficult to identify, because of the resolution. on the left side it says something about Strange incident. Guess this was the one about Adol being suspected?
But I cannot totally decipher some Kanji on the upper part of the left text.

Suspected? Interesting, sounds like the Romun Empire might be following him around after Ys 6 and 7, he kind of made a mess of their stuff haha.

You know...I was considering making a thread like this myself, but I'm glad someone else made it, it makes me know that I'm not the only one who sees how much hate this game has been getting by these so called "fans"

Vocal minority is out with pitchforks for this one for some reason. Being an old veteran FE player yet liking the new makes me feel like some weird oddity sometimes.

I hardly think that's fair. All he wants is atlus to give some attention one of his favorite franchises. No need to dunk on him for him being a little impatient

You probably shouldn't reply to him, he's not a fair person, or a very good person to begin with. Best to ignore Decerd.

At this point I would imagine that Fire Emblem games besides Heroes mostly exists to introduce new character designs to put on dakimakura or whatever other merch. So I don't think it's sales are all that important.

Did you really have to make a comment like this? I mean I know you hate everything past your precious earlier era FE, I dno why you even stick around.

  11. If this is who I think it is, nice job destroying the reason for Futaba's entire arc Atlus, you guys seem to be good at just messing up in re-releases of late, first Strange Journey Redux, then Catherine Fullbody, now this.

I'm a bit cautious of this, I liked P5 a lot, but I've disliked just about every Atlus touch up or re-release in the past few years because of their utterly bizarre directions.

I didn't use too much SQ (only like 90) and have around 160+ left. My summoning plans should be on this page somewhere, but tl;dr I'm aiming for summer Martha this Summer

Ah gotcha, I'm mostly saving for Holmes and then later in the year I think Sanzang is getting a focus again and I want her so bad haha.
