  1. Like I said earlier, it will probably work like Awakening. So a Female Kamui will now have two kids, her husband's linked child and Kanna. Who might become a male. And with the pointy ears its unlikely that the husband's kid will get them. Morgan didn't if her parents where Nowi, Nah or Tiki.

But she could still transform into a dragon which I found strange, I think it was more that they just didn't want to bother changing her portrait at all. Personally I hope that only Kanna will be able to transform like you and not the other sibling if they choose to not give them both pointy ears, as the pointy ears kinda represent how close to dragons they are.

Edit: Also if the children are based off of the father then does Gunter have a child? *Shudders*

Someone thought that maybe certain pairings have unique children. Or, and this is my thought, children are unique to certain characters, both males and females. So not every male has a child character related to them and not every female has one related to them. Or perhaps hair and appearance are based on mother while the children receives an accessory from the father. My only basis for any of these is the speculation that the female dark mage with Nyx's hair-style is a child character, they appear to have Nyx's hairstyle while having Odin's little head accessory and hair color. I dunno, either they went ham with the children customization or something's up, who can say at this point.

  2. So what happens when Female Kamui/Corrin gets with someone? Do they have two children like Male Robin does in Awakening? A male version of Kanna with pointy ears and such? Or do you just have one and the child of the person you marry now has pointy ears? I think it would be cool if you had two and they both had pointy ears but that's just more or less my wishful thinking.

  3. Pretty sure Garon is being used either by this supposed dragon they worship or Iago. Still not entirely convinced that the dragon is indeed a dragon and is in fact some other evil being that can take the form of one, or it's just an evil dragon, that's also a possibility. But yea I have a feeling there's something much bigger and far darker going on in Nohr then what meets the eye. And I know Kamui is just playing along to try and appease his 'father' so he can get back on his good side and form some kind of coup with his siblings at his back, most likely anyway. If he's just being nice to be nice then well it wouldn't really make sense considering the death of his mother and the fact that he said how if he doesn't pull off the task Garon gave him then betraying his Hoshidan brethren would have all been for naught. I have a feeling that the confrontation with Garon where you finally fight him will only be the halfway mark and then some crazy shit takes place after the battle revealing the true mastermind/villain. But who knows, I just like to speculate. :P

  4. Personally I find both fronts of this argument annoying, as that is what it is, an argument. I'm seriously tired of coming on here every day only to find a new topic talking about Camilla and her design/personality. Seriously, people have differing views, just learn to respect that and move on and if for whatever reason you still want to 'discuss' it with others then there are already tons of topics dedicated to the same exact thing.

Whew, feels good to get that off my chest.

  5. I think Anankos is real because when Garon was by himself (or thought he was), he made a comment along the lines of "As Anankos decreed" which be a little odd if Anankos wasn't real. Though maybe Garon just has a flair for the dramatic. Or maybe he KNEW Xander was listening and said that because he wanted Xander to hear for some reason.

I never said Anankos wasn't real I said he might be evil or not even a real dragon. As in some other kind of dark and evil being that can take the form of a dragon, using this form to manipulate Garon, although Iago seems to be trying to do that as well and was upset that Garon took Anankos' counsel over his own.

  6. I think that Garon misunderstood the message. He was told to send Kamui to deal with the rebellion alone, and assumed that meant he had been counciled to kill Kamui (just not directly). What he didn't realize is the dragon had something else in mind.

Or perhaps Anankos is evil and this WAS his intent, to have Kamui die that is. Also who's to say that Anankos is even a real dragon? We haven't seen them, and even if they are a dragon there have been evil dragons in past FE games. But maybe he did misunderstand the message, who can say.

  7. I just find it funny how people act like this is the first time something like this has happened. There are so many different cases of name changes throughout the Fire Emblem series, some minor and some major, I just think it's a case of people disliking change honestly. I mean once this game is finally out in the US and has been out for about a week, maybe less, I highly doubt anyone here will still be referring to them by their 'original' name. (Maybe like a handful of people but that's about it)

  8. Both Fire Emblem 'If' and Fire Emblem 'Fates' sound strange to me but they fit at the same time due to the context of the story. As for 'Conquest' and 'Birthright' I actually like this more than 'Hoshido' and 'Nohr', I mean they basically give you a taste of what those games are gonna be about whereas 'Hoshido' and 'Nohr' are just the names of the two separate countries, which you would already know after looking at the back of the case so it seems a bit redundant. Birthright on the other hand represents your blood ties to your family on the Hoshido side while Conquest represents Nohr and how Garon is trying to conquer the lands. So yea, I like 'em.

  9. I'm assuming you're talking about buying the Japanese version of the game on release, correct? If you have a Japanese 3DS then yes you can download the game from the e-shop even in Europe. The 3DS is region locked so you'll need a Japanese 3DS to play Japanese games, if you have that then you're golden.

  10. Maybe he dumps it and gives it someone else because he doesn't want to be associated with Garon anymore (Nohr route is focused on revolution from the inside).

Also from the Treehouse stream, Garon gives him that sword and tells him to start killing, so maybe he gets rid of it because he doesn't want to be associated with that moment where he was forced to fight helpless prisoners.

True but they still have to deal with Hoshido somehow, and who's to say that this doesn't happen in the Hoshido route or the third route? After all Kamui receives that sword in the prologue and he still carries it on him come the choice chapter. All three paths will have different cut-scenes and the like so part of it is figuring out which path this particular cut-scene belongs to. Many are guessing the third route but it happens in Hoshido with your siblings nearby and you would have had to of been there in some way-shape or form to witness it so it's hard to say. Unless it's like a flashback thing that happens when one of your Hoshido siblings explains the events that transpired back to you. So many possibilities~.

  11. I hope the voice actors at least have the decency to not pronounce the Hoshidan characters' names in a cringey way

Well if it's like Awakening you will have the option in Extras to change the English voices to their Japanese ones, should that be the case.

Edit: Also I like the name Xander, I think it still suits him, sure Alexander might have been better or Maximilian but Xander isn't bad by any means. I'm just curious as to how they'll make a lot of the other Hoshido character's names more easily pronounceable. Same for stuff like weapons and just uniquely named items on the Hoshido side.

  12. That woman also skipped dialogue a lot. I had to pause and unpause at speeds that would even challenge Sonic the Hedgehog in order to read the text.

I'm surprised the game has glitches at such advanced state of development. All here's to do is to translate it, right? So it shouldn't show that many graphical glitches, like characters not appearing in battle at the time they are supposed to.

Are we sure that it even glitched out or did the capture get screwed up? I mean she was closing and opening the 3DS a lot even when the game was still playing, wouldn't that screw with the video? But if it is a glitch it's likely just something that has been introduced due to them messing around while localizing it, plus I mean they do have to add in the english voices and such which I'm sure could screw up some things.

  13. All I know is that he has Kamui's sword that Garon gives to him so yea... That's somethin'.

Edit: I'm still thinkin' that maybe Garon uses the sword to control Kamui at some point and uses him as a weapon against Hoshido but who knows. If it's not that it's likely something related to the third path or that it's just somebody else who has gotten a-hold of Kamui's sword somehow.

  14. Well we now learn that Kamui receives the sword from Garon, perhaps Garon uses it to take control of Kamui and use them as a weapon against Hoshido. Maybe this is how Elise dies, Kamui accidentally kills her as the Nohr siblings show up and try to calm them down or retrieve them? That would be pretty crazy. Or Kamui just flies off the handle due to 'the darkness' and fights Ryouma, I'm still trying to decipher the whole 'super-saiyan' scene.

  15. Okay this treehouse footage and a recent tweet by nintendo seen here are confusing me:

    https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/610944740574515200

Is this Birthright and Conquest split actually 2 versions in the west? Like they're still talking as if you choose sides in the prologue and all that instead of choosing by buying the game.

Perhaps it's not exactly choosing a game in the west but you choose a side and then it locks up the other side kind of like "Choose Hoshido or Nohr (Note: You will need to pay extra to unlock the side you don't choose later on)"?

Well if you download the games then you actually make a choice at the crossroads point, I'm guessing this is what they meant. The prologue being the bit leading up to that point, though I'm guessing there will still be two separate versions and that depending on which one you pick it'll force you to choose that side. It's just if you download both the Nohr and Hoshidan versions onto your 3DS through e-shop you actually make a choice at that point instead, plus everyone will have to download the third path at some point if they want to play it as there won't be a physical copy so that would also be another option/choice at that point in the game. (people keep talking about a bundled version though which might happen but I'm not sure how it will all work)

  16. These swords look awfully similar...

    feif-intro-x31.jpg

Either Kamui is another Robin-esque character as in he's the main antagonist or someone else gets a-hold of that sword, perhaps they do this to frame Kamui? Maybe that's why Leon and Takumi can't forgive you? I mean besides the fact that you have to side with either one or the other. Does this person kill your mom and Elise? Is it Kamui going berserk/being controlled by the darkness? So many things! This speculating is killing me, just give me the game, I need answers!

  17. I like the names, even if they aren't the names of the countries themselves they give you a general idea of what the countries/stories are about.

Also I always thought Aqua's state of dress was just whether you side with Nohr or Hoshido, I mean have we seen any later gameplay of Aqua on a Nohr-path game? It feels like most of the stuff we see of aqua happens before the 6th chapter, or at least before you get back to Nohr with her. But that does raise another question, why is it that no matter what she's wearing she's always dancing for Garon in that hall place? Something's up there.

Also awesome analysis, thanks for the higher quality photos. :D (I took screenshots but they didn't turn out half as nice)

Edit: Also that dark black blade that the hooded guy uses closely resembles Kamui's black curved blade now that I get a better look at it. (I had a feeling I had seen something similar to it before but I wasn't sure where)... Hell now that I keep comparing the two they almost look identical, is Kamui another Robin?

  18. I agree with you, but that sure sounds like the most plausible third path option at least. The Hoshido story is supposed to be simple, so I don't think he'll have TOO much of a presence there...even if he blows up the city and murders your mother.

In the third path Kamui gains control of his powers and attacks both Hoshido and Nohr making them believe him to be the true threat, they then work together to defeat Kamui. In the end Kamui sacrifices himself to bring the two factions together and end the war! Or he just goes ham berserk mode/darkness takes hold of him somehow and he loses control. A tainted divine dragon.

Both of those seem kind of generic so I hope that they don't turn out to be the case but who knows. I suppose in the end I just hope whatever the case the writing is good and the plot is decent with lots of twists and turns.

  19. Just look at that sword looks metal as hell! But yea, I'm not sure, the scene with the sword happens right before the scene where Sakura calls out to her mom in a panic, and it seems like the same setting as the instance where Kamui goes berserk sooooo I'm not really sure what to make of that. The sword itself reminds me of Kamui's black blade but that's more just the blade itself, gah, I need a pic to compare the two.

Edit: But maybe not, after all the scene where he's launching stuff at the screen looks like the same setting as well. I dunno man, it all looks the same.
