  1. Yeah, the top of the head is taking a different angle than the rest of the body atm, looks kind of vertically squished. Roland might be a good ref.
  2. [spoiler=finished] #6
  3. Cool edit, Kon. Claiming #2.

    Searching for help

Atey! Nice to see you here. If it really is you~ :3 The glass effect seems pretty well executed, all I can think of if you were to keep the colors as-is would be to try different textures on the lens rims and see if one works for the right depth-play. Right now it's kind of flat/one-dimensional. One thing I really noticed, though, is that the color you used just for the magnifying glass doesn't really seem to do much for the palette. I'm guessing it was supposed to be a between for the lightest purple and lightest teal? My suggestion would be to make a teal/purple/mix to add a new lighter or a darker value to those particular color ramps. Then you should be able to pull a lot more textures and smoother transitions of depth.
  5. Karin, Trabant, Halvan RULES THAT YOU MUST FOLLOW: No mass Customization. You may custom a bit to make your mug look good/making it work, such as reshading, but try not to go overboard. You can use any color palette. You aren't chained to FE colors, go ahead and recolor to your hearts content. Only use the set given, no other mugs. Recommended color limit: 16 (15 on your mug +1 for background). This is a flexible rule, but be cautious with your color count as a general rule of thumb for good pixel art. The winner will be determined by voting. If there is a tie, the poll will be edited to include only the ties, and re-voted upon. Don't vote for yourself or I will cry sad tears devoid of mod power. Hosts may enter contests. Only 1 mug per member. Winner of the contest will choose the next set (and should select an interesting/spliceable combination). Deadline: Sunday, March 30th, 2014. Have fun!

  9. Source Portraits: ------ 48 hours to vote!
  10. Uh sure claiming #7 (Kon if you came with something finished give me a ping and I'll try putting it into mi edit as 8.)
  11. I don't think you use mug and battle-sprite colors interchangeably? The grey isn't really working out, and the red flattened out (not enough contrast between values). Some suggestions, there's probably other ways: a) Find the color you're looking for and just pull it from another battlesprite b) Hue-shift the colors until you see something you like c) Pretty much just make sure that the color you're replacing has the same lightness/darkness as the original.
  12. Another trim-happy guy. Nuuuuu I dun wanna clean up!
  13. Still a really cool splice, Lieutenant.
  14. Hmm, sure I'll claim #...4

      Thanks you Lenh! :D

  16. Just be sure to try again when you have something to show! ^__^ (Also yeah, the coding is more or less the most straightforward part. It takes a long time to update a library of graphics compared to updating code, so 'good looking sprites' ought to come once the other cores (engine/story) are stable.) It sounds interesting and all, and I'm all for welcoming another coder to the community, but in reality a lot of people do tend to come and go with just ideas. Once you do get started I'm sure people will be willing to give their input and possibly join your project. Good luck in any case~ (And totally if you're thinking shiny assets would be motivation to get going you should spare some change and put good money down on it too. Just from the gist of your original post, it sounds more like we'd be working to fill in your skill gaps to complete your game, rather than creating a collaborative team project where we share skills to make something we both want.)
