  1. Alright, seems like a lot is happening now. The no night kill solidifies my town read on the captain, since other scenarios where scum misses a kill seem unlikely. It also makes me pretty certain scum doesn't have a strongman, or at least not one they could use last night for if that ever becomes relevant. I'm likely wrong with my assumption about Hilda's identity, since I'm pretty sure that person hasn't played mafia on a different site. I'll agree with the captain though, I doubt it's Michelaar. I have a hard time believing that tone to come from him after more recent games. Minor nitpick though, Michelaar has played mafia on other sites. I'm happy they're putting in more effort now though, instead of trying to play the newbie card to high heavens like I'd have probably done as scum in their shoes. @Rumor Honeybottoms's list of suspects is helpful, but I have one question: Can you explain how Mathsticks went from your only scumread to a townread? I understand his interaction with Beppi read town to you, but you do mention it only being on tone. I'm a bit suprised how that convinced you enough to not find his D1 relevant anymore (since you don't mention it anywhere anymore). I don't really think Cala digging up that thread is really a town tell in this case. The moment you relate Hilda to Michelaar (he has a very distinct playstyle), all you'd need to do is link the thread of that game. It's not a lot of effort at all for anyone with a decent memory. Kind of agreeing with the Captain that this is a weird point in time to bring this up. It almost feels like they expected Hilda to get lynched eventually anyway, so they wouldn't need to push it, only to find them suddenly trying and getting away from being a misslynch. @Cala Maria can you explain when and why you linked Hilda to Michelaar and why you brought it up when you did? I feel a lot of cases on Cala seem to missinterpretations though. Rumor is voting them because not finding someone voting a towny scummy is a clear scumtell? That feels really dumb. For instance, The captain was trying to push a turbo on me last phase (I know I'm town), and I'm not scumreading him either. You can understand someone's logic without agreeing to it. Cagney (and Kahl with him) seems to be interpreting the "You even said yourself your wording was bad, of course I'm gonna vote you for it" as meaning "I'm voting you because you admitted your wording was bad", even though I'm pretty sure it means "I'm voting you because you're wording was bad, you even admitted your wording was bad". I don't really like this slot for the Hilda thing, but these cases are making me think scum is trying to jump on the wagon here. Can't really vote Cala though, since that'll put them on L-1, so: ##Vote: Rumor Honeybottoms Really want to hear them answer my questions for now.
  2. This is quite a good point actually. I said I'm inclined to lynch her, mostly out of frustration. If I actually wanted to lynch them today I'd be voting them. Also, I get you're finding me hypocritical, but how exactly is that scum tell? If I was scum, would I really be dumb enough to point out how my sort of actions are scummy when someone else does it? I'll admit to being indisicive right now though. Werner, Hilda and Beppy were the ones who stood out to me today, and I ended up not wanting to lynch either of them. I never saw Cala as obv town, but she doesn't feel like scum either. Don't want to lynch this slot today. How does that post read like him finding her scummy again?
  3. We don't need a hammer today, only a majority.
  4. I commented on them not voting a few times. What's stopping me from voting them is... would scum really be this obvious in avoiding scumhunting? Like, why mention your biggest scumread without voting them? It's weird, but what is the scum intend in it? I also feel like talking about a lot of townreads brings your suspect list down quite a lot, which makes causing misslynches a lot harder later on. Don't know, I feel like what they're doing isn't worse then Djimmy jumping on the Werner wagon and making sure to keep every other option open as much as possible. Maybe I'm just giving scum!Rumor too much credit though...
  5. Urgh, I suck at D1. After reading the talk about meta, I'm reminded of a game where someone's overall actions also looked towny but their interactions didn't. That person being town of course. Looking at it from that angle, Werner seems a bit more likely to be town... I still don't like how he paints his actions off as towny, but I get the feeling I'm just being too hung up on it, where scum would probably not do it that obviously. ##unvote I'm starting to get a pretty good idea about Hilda's identity, and if that's true their refusal to give reads is pretty NAI, which is greatly annoying me. I'm feeling very inclined to just lynch them now and be done with it, since more time is probably not going to help me get a better read on this slot, where it will help for others. @Hilda Berg Since you're not talking a lot about reads, let me make I at least got the few things you said right: - Since you said you didn't find anything that happened noteworthy, this means you don't see Werner repeatedly bringing up how he got the game out of rvs as a scum move right? This is important, because I feel it's been the most relevant topic today. - Beppi is currently your main scumread, however weak it may be. Thus, you'd prefer to see him lynched today. Please correct me if you feel I'm putting words in your mouth. Rumor Honneybottoms not changing their RVS vote is still annoying, but again, I don't feel scum would be this obvious about not scumhunting or would put this much effort in townreading people. @Rumor Honeybottoms That said, I'd still like you to talk about who you would lynch. You seem to have talked about quite a few people as townreads, so you shouldn't have that many lynch targets left right? Who would you rather lynch today? Is it the captain you're currently voting? It seems Dimmy posted a lot less content then I thought. My first impression was that him pointing out Werners comment was good, but looking back that's mostly all he did... There's also the fact that he could likely have just seen a convinient way to jump onto a wagon with an original vote. ##Vote: Djimmi The Great I'll be back online before deadline, but I can't gurantee I'll be around for the actual deadline.
  6. Alright, so read up on our doctor, and my opinion about the voteswitch is kind of the same as with Cagney. He mentions being suspicious of Werner a fair bit during his earlier posts, even if he's voting the baroness there. Considering how their conversation went (between Kahl and Baroness), the vote switch feels natural enough for me. I'm a bit suprised you mention waiting for me, since your response is mostly defending yourself against what I said, but sure. Alright my apologies, let me correct that then. Your defense came down to "Guys, my bad case got the game going, why am I being scumread?" It doesn't change a lot about how it feels like you trying to get town cred for making a bad case. To clearify, I do think it was towny move, but empesizing it as a towny move isn't. I kind of agree this feels like a pretty convenient excuse. Even if you only skimmed the thread, you should realize Werner is currently the main wagon (I mean, you just need to read the vote list) and he doesn't have so many posts that it should be difficult to get some form of an opinion on him. I'd greatly advice you to read up on his votes for now at the very least. Also, I'm just going to break this to you, but most votes aren't "that" serious at this point in the game. We need to analyse what we have, even votes that "don't mean much". (this last part is meant as an explanation btw, not a reason to scumread you.) Yes, you mentioned you were too sick to read back through the thread, which is fine.My point is more that you're still responding to people talking to you, but not really trying to find scum intent in any of that as far as I saw. My thought was (and to some extend still is) that if you're reading those posts anyway, you can also think about whether you find those people scummy? I do understand you're sick though. I didn't phrase it very well, but the part about talking about other people was more ment for when you're feeling a bit better.
  7. I'm not really bothered by Cagney's vote switch. He already mentions finding both the baroness and grim suspicious, so it just read as him changing his mind about who he was bothered by the most. Didn't really feel unnatural or anything. His explanation in that post wasn't great, but he does go into it more later on and since the whole process felt very chaotic anyway, it doesn't really feel scummy or weird.
  8. Alright, I'm to lazy to keep roleplaying. For starters, I hope it was clear I didn't actually think the bee and pirate interaction meant anything. Correction, I voted him for being a rat who was confused about being a rat. Oh My God U Suck. Basicly when you vote someone just for voting you (I think). About our rat friend, his vote on me feels fine. It's a bad case, sure, but it gets things started at least, which he also mentions as his intent. What bothers me is how much he's trying to emphesize it as a town move himself. His first post already feels like covering himself in, and his later defense after becoming the main wagon also mostly comes down to "hey, I got the game started and you guys didn't, so why am I not being townread?". The frustration feels weird when the point of the post was to look scummy to get things going, but makes more sense when it was a ploy to get town cred. I'm also bothered by Beppi making an easy vote on Werner and then spending the rest of the game defending and expanding on that. I can somewhat understand their situation, which is why I'm keeping my vote on Werner, but I'd like him to talk more about other people. Also annoyed Rumor didn't change her vote to Grim, who she actually finds the most suspisious, although it's more annoyance then actually finding them scummy.
  9. As the curtains rise, the great detective Sally enters the stage, there to save the poor town from the evil mafia. As she watches the town folk bicker among one another, her great mind immediately spots a protential suspect: A rat not understanding who he is or who everyone else is would only make sense in a story as a main character deduces our fair maiden. Since he's not a main character though (I'm the only main character here mate) our great detective easily sees through this lie to spot the first culprit. ##Vote Werner Werman And so, the first scene ends with our detective now wondering why a pirate is fighting a bee.
  10. I hate everything. That's twice where I should've ignored the 'safe' option (first being Day Three). I'm sorry.
  11. I wish it was me. Then I'd have something to justify my poor play.
  12. If we lose, it's my fault for tunneling too hard on Toshio. So, sorry folks. ##vote kokichi ouma
  13. As for the post, well, I can't make heads or tails of it, to be honest. I think what it comes down to is, do I think Toshio, on the edge of being MLed, would fuck up his numbers after he was giving me and Nagito muck for pushing him over the NL request? Right now, I can't say that I do.
  14. Sec I moved out of anon so people know i'm around since I don't think we need 72 hours for this phase.
  15. Omar, what do you think? I don't think we should NL today, if only because I think it's one of the two of us who is going to be night killed and we'd be in this same situation. Collecting my thoughts right now on who to lynch.
  16. OK, then, who do you think is scum in that case? My issue is you're claiming Toshio fucked up when he's not here to defend himself, whereas the other 2 are in good graces so to speak. You were also PoE'd by both of the recent town flips whereas the other two were held in relatively high regard. Mello being the towniest. ##Unvote for now because I have to go cook supper, but I'm still leaning towards you based on what has happened.
  17. That's what's puzzling me. That's tactical suicide. But at the same time this could all be WIFOM, which I know the last mafia member's scummate played. I don't think Toshio would fuck up his numbers, is the problem, and Mello's clear from D1 from my point of view so it would have to be Omar. But I don't think Omar's play has been that bad.
  18. I am baffled why Ouma committed sudoku, however.
  19. And no, Rick can't be tailored. That role does not exist + this game is not bastard.
  20. They have to be scum. There's no other explanation.
  21. ##Vote: Kokichi Ouma If we lose at this point Rick was tailored. Also I'm sorry for suspecting you both Nagito and Toshio.
