  1. Could you like, type the exact date XD. Cause you said there's an extension but not till when, and the first post hasn't been updated (At the time of this post)
  2. Even though I know alot less than them, I have to disagree with Toa and Nih about Elphin, he's probably my favorite out of the mugs for some reason, though I do think his nose should be a little more centered... maybe. L'Arachel does look pretty weird though, almost like her jaw bone is off/too high, or her cheek bone is too low. Pent looks awesome, and I really like the fur on Calzus.
  3. More mugs you can't un-see: First is a magic user I think. Uses Cath, Wendy, Fir, Beta Zephiel, and Priscilla. Second is an armor/cav. I made him with FE8 colors which is why there are 2 versions. Uses Beta Forde, Beta Kyle, Matthew, Adult Eliwood, and Alan. Third is a Swordmaster I guess? I wanted to change his hair more but I had a really hard time splicing with Heaths hair. Uses Lloyd, Harken, Karel and one of the villagers,
  4. So I just wanted to say that even though the mugs look cool, since they have a hood on at first you don't to make them have the exact same hairstyle. I like how they look atm, but just something too keep in mind.
  5. Her hair is really cool, but her feet look like their from one of FE:As models XD
  6. You mean Tails isn't supposed to be a murderer who spends his time stalking Sonic? This changes everything.
  7. Umm I think it would be something along the lines of: - Lord/Mercenary/Protagonist, go deal with these bandits - Bandits dealt with - Oh no Bandits were being controlled by someone who's even worse! - That guy/girl is dealt with
  8. I think that it looks really cool. The main thing is that the two people on the sides look much more detailed than the man in the middle of the CG, which makes it kinda odd that he's there and that they are on the sides.
  9. I don't know if you're changing to FE7, but the code for loading units in FE8 is _LOAD1 0x0 Bad To load the "Bad" group of units. There is another code you have to add after that, or for some reason the game fades to black, but I couldn't find it in any of my files, and I think the forum it was on got deleted.
  10. Oh ok, the broken wall had me confused XD
  11. Well I guess it depends on how/when/who uses it. I think I basically comes down to how you use it, basically the same as Prime, cause it can come off as jarring, or perfect for the setting. For example in The Stormlight Archive, there are a bunch of curses that are unique to the world, which (IMO at least) gives the world some more depth since you can even see where some of them come from.
  12. I'm pretty sure this wall: Needs to be one tile higher. cause you go up 2 levels and it's still there but it's only 2 levels high. Same here, you go up one level and the wall stays 2 tiles high. And this isn't WRONG, but that random dark blue tile in the middle of the light blue tiles looks a bit weird IMO. The poison lance looks cool, though it looks a bit too... high class or fancy maybe. I can't imagine bandits using this lance, but if say the Red Viper (From GoT) was using it then it would be perfect IMO.
  13. Hey man I was reading over this and alot of it sounds really cool. I especially like how you can't get all the players in a single playthrough, I really liked that idea in FE11 but I felt that it was not well implemented at all. Also most of the skills seem really cool, though some of them are a bit unbalanced, like the "Kasuri-Gama" maybe you should make the hit decrease lower? Sadly I know literally nothing about FEXP so I can't help you with anything, but I wish you luck, this seems like it could be really fun.
  14. Wow I didn't even notice that, if I counted correctly it should be like this: http://gyazo.com/ee3999a0c7261789f5a388d3adcbb47d I'm pretty sure there's another height error on the wall in the bottom left, were it goes down a level but doesn't lose a wall height (Sorry but Gyazo is being wierd). And a final one on the western room wall, were there's a pillar, a one tile high wall, and then it suddenly gains another tile. Map looks really cool overall, I really like the shadows that are on the smaller walls, they don't get used that often.
  15. Spider girl? Hair looks pretty cool, but the teeth look really flat since they areo nly one sprite wide (I think).
  16. Man that looks awesome. The face does look a bit off like some people mentioned, but it still looks cool, especially the cape.
  17. Yeah I agree with Ghast. You can objectively say this hack is X amount of chapter and this hack is Y amount of chapters, but it's hard to define a scale of "worth" that would keep everyone happy. Also if you're just starting out and someone put you a "Bad/Not Good" category, then that would be pretty discouraging, especially if you're new to hacking.
  18. Hey I really like that channel, I think the "Aliez" opening is better than the "Heavenly Blue" one though.
  19. I like this one alot for some reason. the hat looks really believable I think.
  20. All I can think of is, dat beard. Also I like both of their palettes. I'm not very good at technical critique, but some of the places where you... customed the skin I guess, look off. Mainly in the second guys chest and the neck of the first guy.
  21. I kinda miss Boney/Bonestorm. Cheshire and Lancer as well cause I wanted to play their hack. They might still be around but I haven't seen them in a while. Oh and Ryru, cause that guy could do some really cool stuff.
  22. So I'm going to type this, since nobody seems to be able to say it. If this is your project YOU need to do this, YOU are the one who wants to make it so make it yourself. You need to be the one working on this. Ghast does basically his entire hack himself, with some of the stuff in it being done by his friends and people who VOLUNTEERED to help him. He made everything in the first version of Bloodlines by himself and then, and only then, did a few people decided they wanted to pitch in. You can't just show up and say "I need people who know how to do these things for me, because I can't learn" Are you kidding me, Eventing? It's not even that hard of a thing to learn now, there are tutorials everywhere, Arch has like 50 of them all on his own, there's the UT, you even have Eventiel on The Emblem Brigade which basically does all the eventing for you. Map making and spriting you may not be a natural with but so what? Have you seen the first portraits of most beginning hackers? They're not exactly Vamp, Merc or Nih quality (no offense to them). But they all at least tried to do it themselves and worked on it even if they had no one to help them. If you so desperately want to make a hack with a team then go make some friends in the community and ask them if they've ever wanted to work on something; if they've ever had any ideas about a hack or a story. You can't just expect people to just do all the work for you, and that? That list you posted? If you somehow got a team with people who could do all that, they could basically through you away and work on whatever they wanted to. Whatever you do, the first words out of your mouth when talking to someone/posting in their map/sprite/whatever thread should NOT be "Will you work on my project for me?". I have no idea how old you are but frankly, don't you think that's really frickin' selfish? Also why would I feel inclined to help you, or pretty much anyone else, when, on this very thread, you've already restarted the project twice? Without even showing a screenshot of things you've worked on your own. Haaaaaaa, and yes, like Ghast said, there's a bunch of free stuff now, go look at those instead of asking everyone for help...
  23. Umm favorite? Probably the original Trueblade animation that Shadow of Chaos posted on his youtube channel but has now deleted, though mostly out of nostalgia. Which do I think would be the best? Probably this sprite Nih showed me a couple of days ago, though I don't know if she's posted it/shown it to most people.
  24. I don't really know about a Nightmare Topic... Thing is, you might change something in Nightmare that doesn't show an error until much later, or maybe if you're new and don't know much about hacking, you won't really be able to associate "I did this/something in Nightmare and that caused this to fail but I can't figure out why". I don't think Nightmare errors, since most of them occur when you don't really know much about hacking, are easy to recognize. Eventing on the other hand is actually doable in a catch all topic way, at least IMO, since the problems are normally a form of "Why doesn't this event work?". At least from what I've seen and asked myself. There are certain bugs, like the FEditor + Events bug that happens very often with new hackers, since almost nobody publicly talks about it anywhere, that aren't exclusively from eventing, but since most of them are only noticeable when you start using events it's easier to associate them like that instead of making a new topic for each one. Graphics might merit it's own thread, but it might be hard to understand for new people at first since you can change graphics with Nightmare, FEditor, GBAGE, FE recolor, APE advanced, tons of stuff. It sounds like a good idea, but idk how some things would be classified. For example would inserting a new animation (and having problems with it of cousre) be a graphics problem or a FEditor problem? Overall I think that keeping the Eventing Errors/Question thread is a good idea, but that catch all topics for other problems aren't really necessary. The problem with hacking errors is that most people either know enough to find a way around them/solve them themselves (or are friends with someone who does), or they don't much about hacking so they (incorrectly) think that their problem is new. Now I don't know how we could go about correcting that attitude, I don't think the "Use the search bar" is a good option, I can't find threads I KNOW exist using the search bar. Maybe a "Frequent Hacking Problems" thread would be useful? It probably wouldn't stop some of the people who just show up at the forums and post an error, but a few who are actually serious about hacking would probably check it out before posting their random question.
