  1. Any actual skills can be kept in any class, and even skills like Astra and Lethality that previously were used with specific weapons now work with anything.
  2. This is correct: dancing is not tied to skills. Like most other classes, Dancers have two skills. Their LV1 skill is Luck +4, which does exactly what it says it does and has nothing to do with dancing. Their LV15 skill is Special Dance, which adds stat bonuses to the dance, but only works when in the Dancer class to dance in the first place. On a tangentially related note, Dancers have caps high enough that Olivia can train in other classes and then return to Dancer with Lightning Speed and Sword Expert to competently kill some enemies and then get a second action to use for dancing all in one turn. I set her up this way today, and it's really fun.
  3. Unlimited A ranks, just like unlimited A rank supports.
  4. Interesting. Do you have any direct translations? Anything would be helpful, especially to confirm Magvel as before Iris. Time to shut down those theories once and for all.
  5. Weapon ranks are retained. So are stats that would go through caps; the game remembers everything.
  6. http://serenesforest.net/fe13/tome.html Decreased power is the cost for increased accuracy and bonuses against fliers. Wouldn't be much fun if wind had all the same advantages as fire and thunder but even more on top of that; we saw how terrible that was with FE4.
  7. If I had to pick just one to use, I'd go with wind without a doubt. The bonus against fliers tends to outweigh whatever the other types offer. Thunder's higher Mt can be nice as well, though: Arcthunder and Thoron have +4 Mt compared to the respective wind times at those levels, which is a large enough difference to matter. Fire doesn't really do anything notable; there isn't a whole lot of reason to use it with corresponding wind and thunder spells available that take the two extremes you might need. So the middle ground has no real purpose. On the other hand, on my postgame files, I tend to use fire spells near-exclusively. My characters are powerful enough that I'm not too concerned about details, and the fire spells are listed first in storage, so I just buy fire spells of whatever level in bulk and toss them in there because they take the least scrolling to access, avoiding the need to say scroll through all the fire and thunder spells just to get to Elwind. Unlimited storage is awesome.
  8. That's good, because there is nothing whatsoever to indicate Chrom as the more likely localization than Krom or Chrome or Clam.
  9. Hmm. I can't see all three being Jugdral characters, especially since that would entail four FE4 characters as rewards throughout all DLC.
  10. Makes sense, and he does have art of a specific appearance to use. Although I would expect Othin to join as a Hero, too, assuming he joins promoted, which might not be the case. Maybe Warrior is close enough? Whatever is the case, Chris certainly seems fitting to show up in LvD2.
  11. Huh, I heard about that specifically for Luigi's Mansion 2. Seems like they're getting to like these double-releases; we'll have to see how the impact turns out.
  12. I also calculated the caps and Double bonuses, if anyone's curious. This class is solid. I guess Vincent didn't want to bother adding the New sticker for every tiny update to those sections. Them starting promoted? All RvB characters start promoted. Characters tend to be closer to their starting level in SpotPass.
  13. I was thinking that, but it sounds odd for another MU to show up. Also, I wouldn't expect him to join at levels appropriate for the 5-star mission. I'm assuming we'll see a 3-star and a 5-star mission to round out the monster maps, and I can't see Othin joining at the end of the 5-star one. Not so far. Will probably be some time before I do.
  14. How about this: what's the deal with Ch4, then? Best way to gain his trust is to fight him?
  15. I think him starting at LV5 was one of my really early theories based on a misunderstanding.
  16. Do explain exactly how to do that in such a situation without disgusting amounts of RNG abuse. Griffin Knights get Carrier at LV5, giving them +2 Move in Double for a total of 10 or more, along with flying in a game where Double allows fliers to ferry units easier than ever and then duck out of the way of threatening arrows. They're also faster than Dragonmasters, although not by a whole lot and not more than the Pegasus Knight promotions. You can get a few Levin Swords throughout the game, but not a whole lot. They're the only magic sword; Bolt Axes are also available particularly for Battle Monks and Battle Clerics but they're more rare. The only magic lance is the Stun Lance, which strangely enough is 1-range only. It's a bonus item, so you only get it randomly, through things like event tiles and Everyone's Room. So how many you get of it really depends, but I haven't found a use for it.
  17. Yeah, he's LV1, and there's no way you'd get through LvD without heavy grinding on any difficulty. I don't like doing that during the main story, but during the postgame, it's a lot of fun. On my NM file, I'm working on maxing out supports, and maxing out a lot else in the process.
  18. Practicality isn't really my concern here. No matter what, he's a terrible character who can be babied for fun to get monstrous results. I have him as a Villager 10 / Mercenary 10 / Hero 15 / Warrior 6 on my postgame NM file and he's already capping several stats and able to fight the toughest enemies. I decided to toss All Stats +2 on him alongside Weapon Saver so his Luck capped at 48 is now 50 and gives him unlimited uses of any weapon no matter what. He never trained with bows, so I have him with a Glass Bow to work with. I think I'll forge it, as well. Not that I know of.
  19. Which is a constant in all classes. And yeah, for Donny's sake, the last class better be lance/bow/tome for him to use.
  20. Bonus characters have generic models in all classes. It really doesn't make a difference.
  21. The automatic one level from any two characters combined with the four levels from Dual Support+ should display the LV5 support bonuses associated with a lone S support, so I suspect that's what's going on.
  22. Ursula? She's definitely on the Villains SpotPass team. It'll be a few months before that teams is released, but when it is, she'll be on it, no question about it. We should see two more characters as DLC-exclusives in the remaining monster maps, like Eltoshen. I'm expecting Othin as one because of having a weapon; hard to say about the other. With Eltoshen showing up in LvD1, though, it's probably a safe bet that the other two will appear in LvD2.
  23. Maybe some of us are fine with exposing ourselves. Are you?
  24. Hm? Nintendo just officially announced FE13 for America.
