  1. Pair Krom, Sol, Frederick, Richt, and male MU with any females not named Soiree, then pair her with someone else. Resulting number of regular characters able to access Cavalier is 15. Donny not having Cavalier is bleh but I think that's enough.
  2. Correct. Only the original MU can support.
  3. Your premise for this consideration is completely false. http://serenesforest.net/fe8/growth.htm It is worth noting that in a vacuum, bases alone are meaningful for determining a character's stats for some period of time, while growths alone are absolutely worthless for determining a character's stats for any period of time.
  4. Loran's battle model still has the hat as a Barbarian, yeah. I don't see the problem, but whatever. It's worth noting that his map sprite doesn't keep the hat, but he does keep the glasses.
  5. Probably not 99 if you weren't doing any grinding and didn't use any DLC. But you're not going to have trouble getting however many you need.
  6. You can still go with random skirmishes if necessary, even with it being a bit pricey to summon more. Also, any DLC helps. You can get mountains of cash from a single run of Gold and Silver, and play it unlimited times on any file... Wouldn't recommend it during the main story, but you have enough gold there. 2500 each. You can buy them from traveling merchants at random, but they only carry a few items and one of each. They become available in unlimited quantities after Ch16. It's not hard to afford however many you need.
  7. It just occurs to me how odd it is that MU, who has amnesia, is the only one who can marry Emelina, who has amnesia, and they in turn have Mark, who also has amnesia.
  8. So the Holy King, Krom's ancestor, now has close identity ties with three FE lords: Marth, Alm, and Ike. ...Are we sure those three aren't all the same person?
  9. I've been planning on doing one like this with Berwick Saga, but I haven't gotten around to it. Not technically an FE game, but serves all intents and purposes except it's better at being an FE game than the FE series ever was.
  10. Well, the character you added is also in Japanese, so it seems like it should work. Google Translate translates 一千年前 as "a thousand years ago", so yeah. On the other hand, having it translate "a thousand years ago" or "one thousand years ago" into Japanese still just gets 千年前. So it seems it's a valid way of expressing it, but based on my very uneducated guesses, I'm getting the impression that people just tend to not express it that way in Japanese. Which is, again, an indication that the "one" might be understood, that in Japanese 千年前 might only be used to refer to one thousand years as opposed to more. And of course I must emphasize once more that these are all really just guesses speaking as someone who knows little Japanese.
  11. Poking around a bit with Google Translate, it seems 数千年前 is a more specific way to express "thousands of years ago" specifically as opposed to just "one thousand years ago". So correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that if they wanted to make it clear that they were referring to multiple millennia as opposed to just one, they did have a term available: it's possible they chose not to use it, but I'm not sure why they would omit the clarity if that was the intended meaning.
  12. And that's the main problem. Just five weeks from Wednesday night and we should get some answers.
  13. I think it's really a matter of maturity. Nono doesn't show any sign of understanding beyond that of a child; Nn also seems childish, but more mature from what I've seen. If we're ignoring physical age and appearance, that makes Nn the less creepy one.
  14. An 18-year-old looking 9 is a lot less strange than a 1000-year-old looking 12. Not sure about their exact ages, but while Nn doesn't seem to age normally, it's likely that she's still much younger than her mother, explaining the difference in appearance that way.
  15. Did you see the Marty thread?
  16. Are you sure you want me revisiting the FE5 rating topics?
  17. Being the only armor you get for most of the game, he's very unique; no one else during that time will ever have a performance quite like his. 10/10
  18. Eirika's DLC is not yet available. It should become available late Wednesday night, in about 55 hours. I intend to download it immediately upon its availability.
  19. The flood what? I think it's pretty much consensus now that FE9/10 are the first games in the series; the only question is how they connect to the rest.
  20. That's a fascinating find. Makes sense if the comparison isn't perfect: the timespan from FE1/3 to FE13 is at least as much as the timespan from FE9/10 to FE4, so it makes sense that we'd see just as big changes. The real question is, why don't we hear about the Laguz in FE4, in that case? Hm... now that you mention it, I'm not sure. If she's saying it was just 400 years since the end of FE10, that wouldn't fit with the Scouring; it puts it too close to the other games.
  21. In Awakening, Naga gets summoned or something and shows up as a spirit. I assume that part isn't an issue.
  22. Well, SpotPass doesn't have dialogue, at least not the past-game SpotPass. DLC, however, has a lot of dialogue.
