  1. Somewhat depressingly I also missed the ST pre-order. Although they seem to have the 6 pack of them still up, but that feels like a little overkill.
  2. Navarre > Ogma is not strange at all. Navarre himself is more popular, is often featured in SD related content and has a very popular VA.
  3. No, but mainly because it pales in comparison to the Japanese treasure box edition. So I bought that instead and just the regular game in English. I pretty obsessively collect FE merch though, so I'm not sure too many people would be up for this fairly expensive option.
  4. I feel I should make one further clarification on the topic. The dual audio DLC does make you download the Japanese voice track, to the tune of 2.5 gigabytes. This would certainly not occur if, as you said above, the game cart already included the Japanese audio.
  5. There's a pair of songs grouped together with the New Mystery Final Map theme: One with a melancholic violin and one in an acoustic style. Both are fairly liberal rearrangements of the first maps themes of Alm and Celica. Maybe they're the map themes for chapter 6?
  6. I dislike the Awakening skill style in general since it puts so much emphasis on grinding, which is diverting gameplay from the main draw of the series, however Fates' personal skills is a stroke of genius to differentiate units and allow more situational skills without being useless and add to their character. I'd like something like the Thracia/Path of Radiance style system combined with the above Fates feature. If they keep infinite weapon uses, it would be more consistent to use something more like Radiant Dawn where you can redistribute at will.
  7. Ruined. Unplayable. Joking aside, this is pretty great. I actually forget why I don't use the existing patch (probably bugs) but it must have been horrible since my Japanese is pretty bad. Has it been tested all the way through yet?
  8. This one is also green, but there's Cecilia in FE6 when Zephiel is showing off. I believe she normally ends up with 0/0/0, but honestly I'm too lazy to check. Seth is the only other one that comes to mind that's actually a blue unit.
  9. You need to use a bit more than normal, especially earlier on where you'll need to use units you don't necessarily want to keep, and later you need backups to deal with fatigue. Also, you should probably use most of the staff users.
  10. Right now there are a few 5* exclusives, so they will be rarer. Lyn, FE1 Tiki, Lucina and Takumi are only available as 5* Most other characters are available as two different starting ranks.
  11. I just finished the game. I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm also massive fan of Megaten gameplay so hardly a surprise. I was only on hard mode, but the later boss fights are really draining and can drag on for a while. On top of that one misstep or unlucky enemy session or and you're wiped.
  12. Chapter 4 is probably the half way point. 5 and 6 are considerably longer. The epilogue has no combat, though.
  13. Happy birthday!

  14. Finished the Green patch earlier today. Getting swarmed by enemies is really, really, common in the second half of the game. On the other hand there's random chapters though that have almost no changes. The volcano chapter is identical except for an added Wyvern Lord with an S-ranked Bolt Axe and the Gorgon eggs having way too much HP to ever hatch and Formortiis is identical to normal (even his summons were terrible). Lyon's final chapter was pretty fun though, since it had the reinforcement gimmick combined with more than a few Shadowshot users to put you between a rock and a hard place.
  15. I doubt it. It's probably used to imply 'a hypothetical situation' or 'an alternate route reality could take'. It's ironic that the crossover series, Shin Megami Tensei, actually has a game called Shin Megami Tensei If. [spoiler=SMT extremely minor spoilers]Basically in the original SMT game Japan is nuked which sets off the apocalypse, but in SMT If the person who launched them wasn't able to and the game follows an event in Tokyo that could have happened if the apocalypse never occurred.
