  1. It really seems as if the artist just didn't give a damn and rushed through the drawing. And I'm shocked to find out that it was the same artists for Sword of Seals and Blazing Sword. I really liked his Blazing Sword work and while Sword of Seals wasn't amazing it wasn't terrible also. He would have been better off that doing a simple standing pose instead of trying to be dynamic about it since the proportions are all over the place. The face is okay and I suppose for the in-game portrait you wont have to see the entire body but it's certainly disappointing. I guess he should have gotten some warm up time so he could get back to his Blazing Swords quality....
  2. Yes SS is very likely near the end of the timeline or a bad timeline. There's also theDevil May Cry 2 treatment where its just simply so far in the future that is just doesn't matter and wont be brought up for discussion at all. Though perhaps we should try to get all the world maps and see if there's any similarities that have yet to be brought up. I suppose there's the Zelda route to which considering some parts of the plot for Awakening isnt to far off.
  3. One way they could make the anima work is make them separate yet connected ranks. So lets say our mage uses a thunder tome s/he gets 2wexp for thunder and 1 for wind and fire. Since they are enhancing their experience with the elemental arts overall but mainly with thunder in this case. Make the gaps in experience gain a little bit larger perhaps and make so to reach the Max rank(A in this case) you need to use the actual element you're trying to raise.
  4. Well I for one am really excited about this, will it lead to a second generation like FE4 and the implications upon the story itself. Also I always enjoy playing matchmaker in Fire Emblem. Though I reckon my pairings are usually boring and tame compared some here but hey whatever. If they are ballsy enough to include some homosexual and/or bisexual relationships doesn't mean a damn thing to me. I pair the characters the way I want to, and that's it. I've rarely have a opted for the best technical support pairings.. that's just so cold and uninteresting. I'm curious how children will work out, if we do indeed get a second generation.(I'm really hoping that we do.) Will we have them based off the mothers and how are we're going to handle stats. Also war orphans that aren't blood to their 'parent' hopeful they won't be as shoddy as the 'replacements' characters in FE4's second generation. Hopefully we get some worth while support conversations also. I really don't want to see another Radiant Dawn in terms of everyone can support everyone if it means craptastic generic dialogue. Though if 'destined' pairs get fleshed out dialogue while supposed 'crack' pairings get a little less fleshed out I'd be okay with that.
  5. Too my knowledge the name Serge translate into japanese as Saaji at least that's what I was taught when I was studying japanese. because there's no native 'er' sound in japanese its usual is represented has the long "a" sound like power is powaa. I could be wrong and there may be more ways to translate the name. Se - ru- jyu to Serge sounds possible, but also it's not usually a female name the only female variant i think may exist is Sergine or something similar...
  6. I'm digging both characters. Sol is probably going to be a mellow chap while Soriee will be the fiery and probably more serious of the two. I tend to favor the more mellow of the duo but I'm at the moment slightly leaning towards Soriee

Hi! :D Thanks, I reckon I'll post some colored pictures eventually... if anything they'll be hand colored cause I lack the software to do digital color on my own...and well I love my school computer labs but I can only be there for so long without going insane. I totally realized Lee's hand as to big... personally i should have redone that entire arm but I got a little bit lazy ^^; I'm gonna try and do more updates more often...but I'm not making any promises lol.

Alright I'm not dead...just a lazy bum lol. So I've made a pretty been updated to my deviant art just the other day. I'm gonna only to some [like just 1/4 of them cause I'm tired right now]of my uploads just browse my gallery and let me know what you all think. CJ and TC Here's the main to characters from my comic strip idea I've played with. Max with shorter hair A head shot I did this summer of Max, sporting a lower cut then usual... you know people gotta get a hair cut once in a while. Kasumi Here's a pic of Kasumi that I did sometime mid september i believe. Lee A spiffy pic of lee I did about the same time as the kasumi picture above
  10. Meg's age does fit in with most of the Dawn Brigade making her probably around 13-16, and Zihark doesn't seem too old probably only a few years Ike's senior and probably about Oscar's age. So that means he's in his early to mid twenties. And like everyone else has stated the age difference in marriages didn't mean very much in medieval times. So it's not too strange... And yea Zihark had a relationship with a female cat laguz, but they broke up cause they couldn't handle all the stress of a inter-racial relation and the negative views of her peers. It's revealed in Zihark support with Muarim in PoR.
  11. I knew Soren was a guy, but I can see what's kinda feminine about his face. I knew Janaff and Lucius though they someone in FE4 that confused me Mideel I think is his name and Azel did as ell.

Wow very spiffy, I've never cosplayed but know some who do... The sword is nice. The armstraps whatever they're call are really cool. Are ya gonna go all out and dye your hair to match Marisa's? Or go for a wig? I hope ya post up images of the outfit once its all done. :D
  13. The Navarre archetype in my eyes is simply a swordmaster class character that starts out as an enemy and can be recruited to your side, generally early in the game then later. So for Path of Radiance I would say Zihark fills this role out to the tee... also these arche types have to evolve over time a little bit if it was too specific it would become stale...
  14. I agree. I like swords and lances equally, though I chose swords since most of my favorite characters have been sword users. Axes are cool though I much perfer poleaxes opposed to normal axes[which are the most common type of axes used in fire emblem] I like anima magic the most since the elementals mages tend to be more interesting. Thunder is my fave element even though it tends to eh in fire emblem.
  15. Zihark is my favorite out of the lot and probably the most reliable out of the swordmasters, with Stefan being his main competition... Mia lacks strength which is what people have been saying and its bloody true. While Lucia I like her more then Mia but she just kinda fails. :(
  16. In my first playthrough whoever every died in the last chapter I let stay dead... but it were characters who didn't die so it didn't bother me and I redid that chapter afterwards anyway. I think it was Elicinia and perhaps one other person I don't remember
  17. Talking from experience all my lords have been pretty good except Micciah being the only one I've never experienced anything more then average from. Sigurd and Celice are really good... Sigurd is the freaking man. While Celice is even better but eh I just don't care for him nearly as much as he's father. Leaf is my home boy, he starts off a little shaky but I feel that once you get to chapter 4 or 5 he starts holding his own and keeps getting better but then again I abused the hell outta the scrolls but hey why not take advantage of something the game gives you eh? Roy... he's never been bad for me but he's just a boring character in my opinion, also his battle sprite was just fugly I thought. Eliwood is one of my favorites something about Blazing sword as a whole was just soo magical for me when I first played it. The only thing that could made him more bad ass was if they had made him a spear user instead. it would have given a very good balance between the three lords. Lyn... she's a decent character, and kinda cute but her fan boys ruined her for me. Hector is a badass though I wasn't the most found of tanks when I played so I didn't really care for him all that much, but he's a just a cool dude. Ephraim, he's a B.A.M.F shallow character yeah but he kicked major ass... if he had Ike like caps he'd probably be one of the best lords ever. Eirika... eh cute but boring.... IS isnt good at making female lords Ike... when I thought IS couldn't make another really cool lord they made Ike and he's just awesome, especially in PoR... he stays true to himself and doesn't go for the girl just cause she's there. Micciah... bleh cute and interesting for part 1 and then she just becomes dumb later in the game. Also as a unit just annoying... a complete glass cannon which is usually not bad since that what swordmasters are like but she can't dodge for anything.... m
  18. More or less what everyone has got it down, Earth is great for avoid earth x earth makes for a nigh untouchable duo, while I believe water gives a very well round bonus to attack and defense i believe
  19. What makes fire emblem fairly unique is for an medieval fantasy game it doesnt have a world roaming with monsters[FE8 being an exception] So another game where monsters are your everyday occurance would make the best mix up.... but if we're doing a cross over for the sake of cross over then who cans.. so I think a crazy Dynasty Warriors style Nintendo All stars type of game would be best... pretty much take the smash bros characters and add 1 playable to each exisiting franchise, and have npc cameo's of some more.
  20. Well the good portion of FE4 story occurs in the 1st Gen I believe... the second half is kinda like the kids of fallen heroes get revenge and bring peace and happiness to the land. :-/ So yeah FE5 wins this I believe...
  21. Well honestly Ephraim is the best lord but since SS is overlooked most people give the title of best lord to hector who is good I agree but that so WTFpwn amazing people claim he is... Ephraim and Eirika are pretty much improvements of Lyn and Eliwood :-/ While Roy is just meh.. But Eliwood is my homeboy so he gets my vote haha
  22. Hmm.... well I'd really use any weapon in a fight that I can my hands on but I guess I've played around with swords the most so I guess I be a swordfighter. HP A- I'm pretty tough guy Strength B- I'm stronger then you average person but not nearly as strong as I could be[because I'm lazy and dont work out] Magic D ...er I dunno I dont care for the dark magic, light magic I dont think im spiritual enough and im a bit scholarly at times but usually not Skill C My hand eye coordination is pretty average sadly Speed C I'm slower then the average person at running, though I'm kinda nimble at time but hey im being realistic here so I'm average in overall agility Luck C/C+ I'm pretty lucky even if I complain about things not going my way...so probably just a bit better then average Defense A Like I say I'm pretty damn tough Resistance B Well in terms of not getting sick... and random crap like that I probably pretty resilient :-/ I'd be a probably an interesting fighter I suppose I guess I'd fit has a sword armor...even though I'd probably insist on being a swordfighter just so im not bounded by all that silly armor Honestly I say everyone starting starts would be less then our level 1 lords for the most part... cause honestly while most of them are inexperienced in actual combat they've been training at least which i doubt is the case for most of us here. Thus I used an A-E grading system and still this is for untrained people as compared to me most atheltes probably in much better shape..
  23. I agree with the mentality of adding mage knights with swords just because it would be cool. hell that gives us more more diversity in potential characters and what not.
  24. Actually I think that's true if I recall correctly... though I thought it was common knowledge.
  25. Personally I would like to see the dismount feature return just because it would be interesting. It should be reworked and probably and I dont think that too hard to do, and more variety can't be a bad thing now can it? Now here's a rather silly idea but hear me out first. Allow all units to mount and dismount, however the cavs would be superior and have their base stats while on horseback with canto and all the standard mounted unit abilites however while unmounted would suffer small minus to their base stats. While infantry would have their base stats while on foot but could go on horse back for enhanced movement but without canto and they lose a couple stat points all round. So you'd have units that specialized in certain areas and both units could switch to mounted or unmounted depending on the sitaution but obviously on a mid size outdoor map where you don't need to rush anywhere you'd keep your infantry on foot so they'd fight at full power, and indoor maps you could bring your normally mounted units if you wanted to but they wouldn't fight as well. Also like said before units should stick to their primary regardless.
