  1. Salutations, savvy Sticker Star players! Paper Mario Sticker Star is a very good game, and I might even reccomend it. It is also unfortunately the worst in the series. No questioning it. It's like a watered down TTYD.

Here's my opinion of the PM series.

    PM:SS------8/10

    SPM---------9/10

    PM:TTYD---10/10

    PM------------11/10? (I haven't actually played this one)

And here is a famous critic's opinion.

  2. I just got an idea!

    1. Buy FE: Awakening Bundle.

    2. Separately buy physical copy of FE: Awakening.

    3. Your friend just bought a new 3DS. (if not, convince them to)

    4. System transfer.

    5. Your friend now has a virtual copy of the game (you may or may not charge them for this) and you have a physical version AND a cool 3DS!

    Problem Solved!

  3. One more point I'd like to make on Chrom's inability to deduce MU(F)'s gender, before I derail my own thread even more. Yes, it's true that MU(F) can look like this.

But she can also look like this.

    Yeah. What the hell. X)

(Btw, it seems someone can commiserate.)

"A battle maiden who rides a horse into combat. Can wield magic in addition to staves."

Magic, healing, and mobility, all in one unit? Welcome to the mage army!wink.gif

Or if you want to swap the staff for a sword, Dark Knight is essentially a Grandmaster on a horse.

  5. First, I'm going to lock my door. Then, I'm going to disconnect my phone lines and ignore any and all post. Then I will seal myself into my room and play the game.

Once people catch onto the fact that I have vanished, I'm going to throw a specially prepared puppet of myself out of the window of a nearby hotel, put on my specially prepared wax mask of a suitable celebrity and book myself into another hotel while the investigation into my faked death proceeds. I will then continue to play the game.

Once it becomes clear that I must announce my presence or be declared legally dead, I will hire a gang of thugs to beat me up and leave me unconscious on the middle of the high street. Here, I will be found and taken to hospital, where I will recuperate. While playing Awakening.

At this point, I will contact a lawyer and find someone to sue for my beating/the failure of the investigation to find me etc etc. I will then use this money to take an extended leave from University. To play Awakening.

    So nothing much really, no.

I'm going to go buy the cartridge.

and I'm going to play it.

    Religiously.

Step 1)Beg for remaining amount of money.

Step 2)Get the game from gamestop.

Step3)Run faster than Flash all the way back home and proceed to lock all doors and entrances into my room.

Step4)Play the game and lose contact with the outside world for about a month.

Step 5) Reemerged looking completely diffrerent.

It is amazing that there are so many fantastic fanatic fellow Fire Emblem 'ficionados!

And that about sums up my experience with Lunatic so far.

I may give it a shot after a few runs on Hard, which I intend to start on, but that's way too much for me right now. Still trying to better understand the systems and such.

By the way, I like your luck analogy, Zera.

Thanks. I always consider videogame challenges to be made of 3 components: Skill, Strategy, and Luck. As FE is turn based and there is heavy use of the random-number-generator,

FE tends to have a lot of strategy, a bit of luck, but not much skill at all in a traditional sense. You don't have to worry about timing your button presses in FE.

From what I can glean from the demo, Lunatic mode seems to feature a fair bit more luck early on than Normal or Hard. Rest assured though, it will take much more than luck.

  7. Greetings, fantastic fellow Fire Emblem 'ficionados! After playing the English demo of FE: Awakening, this is what I have learned:

Normal: Pretty easy, but at least a new player can't complain about difficulty.

Hard: There are a couple more units, and the enemies have higher stats all around. This will require more skill.

Lunatic: All right, let's play this......Game Over? Well, that was an interesting ten seconds.

Lunatic seems to have even more enemies than Hard, and they are basically on steroids. Many of them can kill Chrom in just two hits, or Lissa in one.

As it turns out, the only way to beat the Prologue is to constantly use Frederick and really pay attention to where the enemies are.

Although I have tried many times, I have not yet beat Chapter 1 on Lunatic.

One thing I've noticed about Lunatic is that even when I use my "winning" strategy in the Prologue, sometimes I lose anyways. Maybe a crucial attack misses,

or the enemy with a 2% crit rate gets a crit anyway and instantly kills Frederick. (True story)

Oftentimes I tell my friends that the game Minesweeper teaches us a lesson: No matter how good of a minesweeper you are, you will have to guess at some point,

and you might guess wrong, and blow up and DIE. Just like in real life.Lunatic difficulty in FE: Awakening has taught me that even with the best strategy,

there is always some luck required in war. Just like in real life.

As such, I am glad that Lunatic difficulty exists, but I definitely won't be playing it in classic mode!blink.gif
