  1. hhe over here I just get vengences and tryfings... eve got two vengences on the a single run... -_- ah RNG.... (I want some tomes... other than Gotiea which is outclassed by a forged aversa's night... They should have let it boost a stat or some other effect...)
  2. I hated that... the Demon fighter got all the good weapons leaving the bride with... lances and trash... considering I only bring 1-2 staff wielders and that their main purpose is fighting... I also prefer staff wielders to be magic specialists... aka sage or bust...(highest magic cap for staff wielders) but the real issue for the class is the look weird using lances and bows while wearing that dress... honestly tomes and swords and staffs are what they should have been given... but dread fighter took tomes and swords... -_-
  3. the gender exclusive classes all have at least 1 magically orented promotion thus for a magic MU I would go with female. Dark flyer is a useful class regardless of the skill it provides Valkyrie can be used to give your MU a more mobile magical suport role. two additional options. all the male classes are physically oriented thus they will provide you with no benefits if you plan to go magic... and the skills will not be all that useful to you(counter is only for spotpass and wrath isn't useful w/out vantage)
  4. I'm fairly certian I noticed Astra take 3durabilty for 3 hits but I can be certain... can someone verify from the coding that it uses 1 durability?
  5. add hammernes to the item list. also ch 21 always yields 4 bullion forging is random but only seems to happen on later game maps Ch 15 is the only map that I have seen give both C and B ranked weapons(may be true for nearby maps but by the point everything becomes promoted they always drop B rank wweapons w/ the exception of sorcerers who either have a B ranked tome or Nosferatu. -If I notice anything else I'll post here
  6. I've done about 100+ skirmishes so i think I can help.... (aka grinding MU every skill possible) Note this only what I have personally encountered and may not be everything... the loot depends on the advancement in the game but follow certain rules which (so far) have never failed: 1 "boss"-this enemy always drops an item unless they spawn as a reverent or entombed which I have never seen drop anything. The boss will either drop a weapon or an item. Item wise I have seen -entire brave set (they do not use these on normal), any standard permanent stat booster, change seals, master seals (I have seen Items at all map levels though the higher the map level the more likely this seems to become though this may be random RNG) Weapon wise-vary by game advancement, early maps will involve iron series weapons and el series tomes(aka the standard D rank) later on the bosses wield steel series weapons and arc tomes (aka standard C rank) later on they will be using silver weapons and the B rank tomes -noticeably these weapons appear before the related items are available in shops If they use forged weapons they will never drop them but will instead carry another weapon or a item in their inventory to drop on death. generally any weapons other than the listed will not be dropped (an exception is Nosferatu which CAN be dropped by sorcerers) Regular enemies- can only drop Bullion (S) starting at 1 the number that they drop increases as the game goes on by the Children paraloges they are dropping at least 3 ect.. Edit in reply to previous messages I didn't realize the unique item drop rule but now that it is mentioned I have never seen this fail... Bosses can be any standard class the skrimish I'm doing now is a Great Knight w/ a silver axe... If a boss can use staffs they will carry one but i have never seen one drop. I have seen every standard class as a Skrimish Boss revernts and Entombed can also be bosses(and they drop nothing... :( ) Classes can carry a weapon of any type they can use: for instance a Dark Knight boss can carry a silver sword, Bolganone, thoron,Rexcalibur) but a sword master can only drop a silver sword... A trickster could however drop a silver sword + any of the "items"
  7. Personally my favorite child so far is Nah with Donnel as a father... she is an outstanding armsthrift abuser as her luck cap w/out support or skills is 50 of further interest to me is she also gains access to sol thanks to the mercenary line and renewal through the troubadour line. thus with access to armsthrift, sword breaker, gale force, renewal, sol, lifetaker... ect one can get some interesting use out of her...(I actually feel manekate is a liability on her... that speed...)
  8. My playstyle is generally based around flyers(usually as many as I have/can deploy... unless the enemy is 90% archers...) I also have a fondness mounted units for their mobility(always have at least 1 good one), 1 or 2 mages for their utility (use varies by how games handle magic), or transforming dragons/beasts (as I like their forms and they generally are pretty good with exceptions sadly aka useless growths or irreplaceable limited item to allow them to transform after which they become deadweight...-_-) the remaining units in my army aside from the mandatory lord include a healer(eventually this duty is given to a sage as well for back up) followed by some units with good stats growths and reliability. I focus on eliminating threatening units usually enemies w/ bonus damage such as any w/ bows, wind magic, anti beast weapons etc. In Awakening I have fallen for the hybrid classes able to fight w/ tomes and weapons they have such utility I will usually try and save a unit except in shadow dragon... though I have noticed the tendency to let armors and archers fall behind if a game lacks defense levels as they are really only effective in defending and I have a very mobile play style... thus I only really use these classes early on unless they turn out really well in which case I will often continue to use them... I normally play on normal difficulties though I will just as often play on harder difficulties as long as they don't cut into the mechanics (main reason I avoid these difficulties they shouldn't have to restrict your options to make the game a challenge)in which case I refuse to play those difficulties
  9. Some of these are in agreement w/ above (note I have only played the FE games released in America so...) Griffon knoghts should be given swords(also would like if they were separated from Wyrverns.... for some reason I don't like characters promoting to a different mount... If you spend you time training on a mount you will wish to master it! Halbredier should return as promoted soldiers acting as the infantry specialist class for lances(they would get that crit bonus)-(They had finally made soldiers no longer useless...) As someone said before tier 3 classes would be fun to see thought here's an interesting idea... what if they made tier 3 classes unable to reclass w/ change seals? Then it would be a final investment that you can't undo... Bishops(along w/ light magic...) (as for the magic distinction perhaps they could leave the magic as one tome category but the magic triangle of FE 10 could return thus making the choice of tome more important...though I would be cool with magic getting separated again or perhaps certain spells could be class locked Dark-Druids & sorcerer lines, Light-Bishop & Valkyrie lines ) -Laguz like race(what can I say I like transformers) but perhaps they could transform more like taguel? -while not a returning class I still think all weapon locked promoted classes (aka Beserkers snipers swordmasters and halbridiers)deserve a bonus crit or other perk unique to their class... maybe reduced effects of the weapon triangle/bow range bonus?-(I like thse classes and want them restored) -also hoping some of Awakenings more unique and interesting classes stay around like the dark flier and dark knight stick around in future FE games...(though maybe with a better name*if they can't use Dark magic*?) -also want the trabudor line to stick around... -the sorcoerer was an interesting concept as a mage that acts as a front line fighter but they do need a slight nerf...(D rank Nosferatu really?)
  10. I think it would vary based on the ending... -Sealed witnessing failure they would probably regroup and depending on the circumstances, likely seek revenge for the defeat of their god. Depending on how much influence the Grimeal truly have thiscould lead to a major war -Grima's death... well they would probably be disillusioned... if similar to real world cults/religions they could either depending on level of organization/devotion of surviving members... disband, martyr, suicide, seek vengence, dive into dark rituals looking for a way to bring back the dead(like the ancient Aum staff)...
  11. Heres what I have ODC complete-Max out all recruit-able characters stats, weapon ranks and obtain each skill available to them based on class set (not including DLC/spotpass exclusive skills,Charecters and classes) What can't I buy?-equip all sword/axe/lance/bow/tome users w/ forged B+ ranked weapons One man army-have a single unit kill every enemy on the map It's a miracle!-Have a unit survive only due to miracle and kill at least 3 enemies at one HP Low blow-have one of your units die to counter Donninator-have Donnel cap all stats as a bow Knight/Hero/Warrior on Lunatic or higher Favoritism-beat the game with many units under par Hardcore-beat the game on lunatic or higher without assessing DLC or spotpass, sommoning risen or shopkeepers or assessing renown so much for a legend...-break a legendary weapon Tactical failure-recruit all in game characters including children only to have every unit except Chrom and MU die before completing the final chapter this is all I have...
  12. Despite my attempts to raise every charecter my Chrom fell behind... even though he leveled up it was trolled by the RNG making him a dud character as I had to reclass him many times to keep him viable as for Lucina... Honestly by the end of the game I had the lords paired w/ armsthrifters allowing me to spam the regelia and max forged weapons more often than not ,so if you are using them for that poupose they are pretty equal as you you can use them to provide those extra luck points for characters who cap before 50 luck... And due to the grinding possibilities don't forget that all that matters in the end is the caps and as Chrom is mandatory... :)
  13. Okay... I Am new here (not to the series though though I have not played the Japan only games :( ) can not call my self an expert on this... and while it is established that the Earth Dragons suffered severe mental degradation, The level of the degradation could have varied by individual... I'm basing this on how dementia works... the greater one is before the fall the more that will remain after... this could mean grima might have been a powerful earth dragon who retained enough self(note Grima never really seemed fully together...) My best guess is Grima's intelligence might have come from the the avatar, who was gifted in tactical knowledge and possessed by Grima in the future this sentience could be the result of just this or perhaps some of it might have come from Grima absorbing it from other human vessels after all we know little about the Grima of old that caused the war to reset the world... The loss of total sentience would result in animalistic Earth dragons(maddness actually seems more fitting to their portrayal than lack of sentience)... animals are still able to breed so it is possible that grima could actually be a descendent of imprisoned earth dragons, one that was powerful enough to simply broke its way into this world... which could explain why he was able to be stronger than Medeus (could even be his son). Also note that Medeus might not have been the most powerful Earth dragon or, perhaps the animalistic earth dragons imprisoned dueled it out over the centuries thus becoming more powerful than the were during the war... Another concept maybe after years in isolation the Earth Dragons slowly began to regain fragments of what they lost... perhaps even with Grima gone others are beginning to stir remembering fragments of what the once were... (giving us future openings for FE games) sadly this is all speculation as we have been given little to work with on this... and unless they tell us it will remain speculation...
  14. accidentally messed up on time zone... how do I fix that?
