  1. Fates: Arthur (unique Axe), Setsuna (another archer...but I love Setsuna)

Shadow Dragon: I dunno this game well..the remakes art & sprite style turned me off..but I do like Athena from MotE..though I guess for straight SD, I like Catria.

Awakening: Adult Tiki. New moveset, new dragonstone user...and a potential for Tiki x Tiki support and A. Tiki to see her MarMar again.

I'm pretty sure people hate it when localization changes anything, especially after the whole fiasco with Fates. NoE changing the name of the "Lovebirds" cutscene (was called this in Japanese and North American releases) to something else was completely random. Also, it would be better to see how the original writers wrote her as.

And sometimes those people are just purists. For example, changing Soliel's supports was definitely for the best..it reeked far too much of gay conversion therapy...I'm still sad Soliel wasn't a lesbian option..

Don't know why you are willingly ignoring them...nonetheless, in the Japanese Noire/Tharja C Support, Noire says this: "I wish you’d stop putting weird curses on me…"

    http://fe-according-to-japan.tumblr.com/post/61827114760/more-than-you-really-needed-to-know-about-tharja

Which goes to show that present Tharja was still placing hexes on her before relenting to Noire's wishes.

Because they are too same-y between fathers..like Henry would probably LOVE being hexed and cursed..so he's out of character and it contradicts the English support, which is the only one I actively care about.

I think this video explains Tharja pretty well.

I'll also add that you can like a character without liking everything about them, or even outright hating some parts (Tharja's & Camilla's obsessions are part of what I don't like despite my liking the characters). Since I mentioned Camilla, Ghast's video on her and why she's likely got an actual mental disorder is a good watch too, in my opinion.

Eh, I think she still does it in the father/Noire supports. Of course, timing of supports will always be unknown. Just rubs me the wrong way that the game treated her issues as minor quirks.

I actually completely ignore the father supports for anyone but Chrom/Lucina for obvious reasons. They are all the exact same and some don't fit the characters at all.

In Noire's father supports they also contradict with the Noire/Tharja supports where Tharja doesn't abuse Noire and finds it distasteful that her future self did.

Basically I'm saying the father supports in Awakening are essentially garbage.

They've kept it up with the DLC supporting Fates so hard.

It only seems that way because of the amount of Fates characters in the game. They make up the bulk of the roster due to each version seemingly counted as it's own game, which makes sense considering both games have a full roster of characters on their own.

Expected Niles as Gecko. Disappointed in (ugh) Validar as Campari and Gangrel.

I wonder why Validar is their go-to fill-in villain? Why not at least use Iago or Gharnef for a few of the maps?

Yeah, Iago would have fit as the theatrical Gangrel alot more.

This is everything outlined in the season pass.

I suppose its possible that Darios & friends could be made playable later in a free update, but that strikes me as exceedingly unlikely.

Well, Cia, Volga, and Wizzro weren't part of Hyrule Warriors Season Pass, so there's still hope.

The order is kind of weird though. It isn't chronological and Anna is in between Awakening and SD. Why would they go with reverse chronological?

Newest to Oldest is still a logical enough order. Anna's placement could possibly indicate that she was originally meant to be Awakening's Anna since that is the Anna with the largest role outside of Heroes.

Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I don't know if I really want a Season 2.. It's starting to feel crowded in the current UI. We'd need sorting and/or filtering options for the units if we get that many more. I already hate the ordering as it is. The list of History Mode maps is getting a little long now, too.

They could always fix the UI in an update to add sorting functions or show only usable units in such situations. The ordering isn't too difficult to remember since it's OCs, Fates, Awakening, Shadow Dragon, Extra, & DLC in that order. As for the History Maps, I'm fine with so many.

    Mangs.

I always read it with a hard J. I figured if it was supposed to by "Thar-ya", it'd be spelled with a Y or an I.

Not if they are going with a Norse way of spelling, Js can be pronounced like Ys in that regard.

Tharja is likely a different way of translating Sallya similar to other things such as Caeda (See-da) from Shiida, Aeris from Aerith, and other cases since the same Japanese characters can be used to mimic different English sounds, such as Su (like in Aerisu for Aerith/Aeris) could be an S or a Th sound. Similarly, as most are aware, an R sound could substitute an L sound, same for B & V. So you see how Sallya (Sariya) could become Tharja (Tharya) if they took the S sound for meaning a Th and the R sound for being an R sound rather then the L sound it was meant to be.

On an interesting note, Navarre could totally have been taken as Nabarl due to the same case.

And surprisingly Owain is the first character whose model did not match their official

strange, since i'm pretty sure he mimics it perfectly in his intro scene.

Camilla's is a little different too, it looks more like her statuette to me. Tiki has a new pose too that I haven't placed yet..this goes for both her render and amiibo having new poses.

No costume for Frederick. Just as I figured. Not even a broken armor model which is rather surprising, so he's the only one of the Awakening cast getting literally nothing here. Disappointing and rather unfair imo.

There seems to be nothing interesting/good in this pack, so I'm passing on it.

The broken models aren't useable costumes anyway, so you're only missing out on his weapon and new missions. The BA models are just there when an Armor Breaker weapon is used and it destroys their armor.

    5 hours ago, Anacybele said:

Whatever the case, I still won't buy this pack. If I could only buy Frederick's weapon and BA model (if it exists), I would. But no, Koei is greedy and forces you to buy the entire pack if you want anything from it.

I don't think it's greedy..it would cost those that want everything a lot more if it was all seperated..plus the costumes and weapons are all tied to the History Maps.

I'm pretty sure it's Thar-yah. That's closer to the Japanese pronunciation than a hard 'J'.

I'm looking forward to finally having this answered. I lean towards Tharya too.

Yes, but then you mention abusing a glitch to max rupees to easily level everyone else up to the same level. You can't use the same glitch in Fire Emblem Warriors, so near the end, it's faster to actually grind out the levels than to grind for gold.

So 9,999,999 rupees only leveled up a character less than 10 levels? Then yeah, Hyrule Warriors definitely seems ridiculous in terms of leveling.

The rupee glitch could take anywhere between 3 mins to 7 hours to achieve, it is a notoriously finicky glitch that even now no one is 100% sure how it works, just a basic idea on how to trigger it. It usually took me at least 1 to 3 hours on average to trigger it.

On average, to get a character from around level 1 to level 255 would take using the glitch 4-6 times, per character..maybe more, I haven't done it since the last batch of DLC released..but multiple uses of 9,999,999 rupees per character..it took forever..Hyrule Warriors practically forced it too by having maps where you could only use 1 character or 1 weapon on it (though co-op wasn't locked to that thankfully), you have a lot more freedom in Fire Emblem Warriors in regards to characters to use on maps.

  11. 1 hour ago, MrPerson0 said:

I guess it's faster in Fire Emblem Warriors due to Pair Up splitting the EXP between both units.

Nope, its not that, even leveling a single character in Fire Emblem Warriors is leagues easier then in Hyrule Warriors.

I hope not. I can't see them adding much else to this game because completing three new history maps seems pretty stale at this point, and leveling to 130 is way too grindy, so going to 200 and above would be worse. Would rather see a sequel instead.

That's exactly what they'd do. They added a crap ton of Adventure Mode Maps to Hyrule Warriors Legends..and each Adventure Map seems longer and more difficult then any History Map.

I could, however, see them adding more Story Content like they did with Hyrule Warriors, making a pseudo sequel in the form of an 'after story' and 'side story'.

Are you sure that there wasn't a higher level map out there where you could gain a lot of levels, get a Game Over, retry (keeping the gained levels), and repeat? Maybe the amount of levels needed to grind made it seem longer in Hyrule Warriors than in Fire Emblem Warriors.

There really wasn't that I found, abusing Young Link's Fierce Deity Link Awakening and the EXP Up while staying Fierce Diety (think Tiki's Dragon Form and how she functions, it's essentially the same) on that particular map is the easiest way to level up and then using the rupee glitch to get everyone else up there. Just ask anyone who played Hyrule Warriors and they'll tell you leveling was a chore in Hyrule Warriors and much easier in Fire Emblem Warriors.

I thought I did, but maybe it was just people thinking this because they've kind of swept FEW under the rug despite not all of the DLC being out yet.

People say that, but I haven't really seen it receive less attention then Hyrule Warriors base/DLC did, aside from not getting its own Direct, though that may have been due to having less game centric Directs, and Directs in general, since Iwata's passing.

I mean, yeah, they haven't localized any of the DLC videos like they did with Hyrule Warriors, but that could be due to the characters not being a secret and the clone movesets...that and Zelda ALWAYS getting a bit, or a lot, more marketing then anything not Mario or Pokémon.

I honestly feel that Fire Emblem Warriors got more marketing then Echoes or even Fates lol

Because while I thought Nintendo proper wasn't happy with sales, Koei was. So they'd do a bit more DLC for this game if Nintendo didn't want them to do a sequel.

Where was that said? I don't recall reading or hearing anything about Nintendo being unhappy with the sales of Fire Emblem Warriors.

  14. I'd love to see the villains Darios, Gharnef, Validar, and Iago as a free update like Hyrule Warriors OC villains were.

And if Fire Emblem Warriors Season 2 includes other games like Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC (aka Hyrule Warriors Season 2) did, I'd love the following..

PoR/RD: Ike (new moveset), Nephenee (Oboro moveset), Micaiah (Linde moveset)

Sacred Stones: Eirika (Marth or new moveset), Ephraim (Oboro or new moveset), Myrrh (Tiki moveset)

Blazing/Binding: Hector (new moveset), Roy (Marth or new moveset), Eliwood (Xander moveset)

Doesn't change the fact in every level cap update in Hyrule Warriors was by 50 levels, whereas the level cap update in Fire Emblem Warriors is 20. Pretty obvious that KT has no plans to go to that high of an amount.

Have you tried to grind from level 106 to 130? It takes quite a while. Granted, levels 130 to 150 are probably going to need to same amount of experience, and maybe, there will be a better level to grind on in the Awakening DLC pack. Granted, I have never played Hyrule Warriors, so I'm guessing going from level 235 to 255 took longer?

That's why I'm curious if they plan to go to higher levels later on through a Season 2 because you level faster in Fire Emblem Warriors then Hyrule Warriors.

In Hyrule Warriors, the only easy way to level grind was to get Young Link, use Fierce Deity, and stay in that for forever on a particular map fighting Shadow Fis that split after a certain amount of damage, each keeping that amount of HP but offering the same experience as one another and then using the Max Rupee Glitch to pay to level everyone else. It was hard just to get everyone to base level 99 and yet the DLC maps practically demanded you keep everyone up near the level caps.

Level Grinding in Fire Emblem Warriors I'd actually a LOT easier.

  16. Since I accidentally started a discussion on this with my off hand mention that I believe a DLC Season 2 could happen due to the different level caps in Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors  (which went up to lv255), I decided to make a thread just for it.

Here's my 'possible' wishlist. I'm going to go off of the technical season 2 of Hyrule Warriors and do another 3 themed packs.

Awakening Pack 2: Adult Tiki (new moveset), Gaius (new thief or clone of a sword user), Nowi (Tiki clone)

Classic Pack: Hector (new infantry axe), Cain or Abel (new mounted lance or Xander clone), Alm (new moveset or mirrored sword clone)

Fate Pack 2: Arthur (Lissa or Hector moveset), Setsuna (another archer, I know), Rinkah (new moveset or Hector clone)
