  1. For the last unit in the Halloween banner I got a pool of 4 red summons with 16 orbs. I pulled three, had no luck, decided to feed the dragon to prep for the Farfetched Hero banner, and Nowi was in that 4th orb. With the Farfetched banner itself, apparently my game likes encore performances. 4 Blue summons with 15 orbs, three with no luck, dipped slightly to prep for the super banner, and lo and behold that 4th orb. -HP +Spd, which is just fantastic. Super quick to get into Desperation range, 38 Speed to play with, and 34 Res stays intact for Ploy shenanigans. Put on Atk Ploy seal and keep the A skill and have a blast. I got Dorcas on the third summon on the first day, and Mia arrived a bit later, so this banner's done and now I can focus completely on the super banner.
  2. I got Halloween Henry yesterday but he's -Spd. I don't intend to pull for more Henrys on the banner while I still need Nowi, so I intend to make the most of him now. Henry and Black Knight with Hone Armor has a decent synergy, but I'm at a loss on what A and B skills to set him up with. Desperation would be far better to work with 43 Speed than 37 and all that. Should I run a Fury Desperation set on him regardless, or work on maximizing his +Atk with Death Blow and Vantage or Breaker skill?
  3. Finished an Armor mission to get to 17 and pull for the last time for a bit, and so it figures I get the remaining armor unit out of it. I pulled Sakura and Jakob within 25 orbs of one another on the first day, but Henry and Nowi were stubborn. But now I just need Nowi, and I have 29 days to do it Please don't let this be Radiant Dawn's month Sakura - +Spd, -Atk. Ow. Jakob - +Spd, -Atk. Ow. Henry - +Atk, -Spd. Lol.
  4. I've been running Desperation Assault with Tailtiu in Trials. It's great. Beats DC users, and also kinda counters Breaker skills in a roundabout way. Nekomata Sakura and "Hallowi" are my focus for this seasonal banner, though is there really a point to run Warding Breath when Distant Def exists?
  5. Had a staggering 5.5% on the Dancer banner, so took another crack at getting Olivia or Shigure before the Halloween banner replaced it. Bad news is that the rate got broken. The good news is she did it. Neutral, but this is my first Linde at all, so I'm content. Now I just need to pull Katarina, and I will have all the Archanean units.
  6. Good start to the FE4 banner, and all within about 60 orbs. I guess Lachesis killing my pity rate on the Threaten Speed banner was a sign. Tailtiu is +HP -Res, and Deirdre is neutral, so their offenses are intact, which is wonderful. Gave Deirdre Iceberg and Tailtiu Dragon Fang for Tempest, though Tailtiu will get Moonbow eventually. Now I can snipe reds for two weeks while working on the Dancer banner.
  7. Seliph, Soren, Robin, Corrin. Julia, Sophia, Corrin, Azura. 4 Boys, 4 Girls, quick fix for the two banners that will come with this gauntlet. Camilla's been in more than one Gauntlet so no reason why Robin can't be.
  8. @lack of Jake in the ballista special. Far easier to just reuse the same model for the attack instead of creating a new one for the sole purpose of one single special, especially when it can be used in combination with another unit's special for a Pair Up attack.
  9. A commitment and effort befitting the #1 Sharena fan. =) Cecilia got to max mostly due to having four of her. Being able to hit 2000 with just one unit takes a lot of work lol.
  10. Team I used was Marth, Male Robin, Olivia, and Spring Chrom. Olivia is important for these defense maps just so you can have your units moving around and stalling the clock without fighting off counter attacks. Ryoma would do well here I'd think; he can counterattack Soren, and serve as a wall against Titania. Bait Titania to go after the sword user when she rounds around the trees, don't let her close the gap and put your other units in danger. Doing 0 damage to her is worth keeping her contained. Have Robin nearby on the right to hit Mist with weapon advantage, and keep your axe of choice to the corner.
  11. They may save the Celica banner for the international release of Echoes since it's 25 days away. Ample time to squeeze in two new banners and not leave the international release with no Heroes fanfare.Personally, I'd like another thematic banner like Sibling Bonds. Maybe units with known rivalries or something? Like Arlen (Merric, green mage if only for Excalibur, Blue mage if not), Kieran (Oscar, axe Cav), Karla (Bartre, Sword), and Innes (Ephraim, Bow).
  12. I found a spare $25 card at home over the weekend so I used it for buying a fresh stock of 40 orbs. The second pull was unfortunate 3*s all across the board, though I did get Bartre from it, but I guess that's karma for the last pull 4* Cain 5* Catria 5* Clair 4* Lon'Qu 4* Serra I have a 5* Catria as is and her skillset is not uncommon, and she's my ace, so I'll likely merge her into the original one and maker stronger still. And having Vantage 3 ready to go from Lon'qu is never a bad deal.
  13. Do we have confirmation that the "Robyn" and Navarre GHBs will refresh the completion rewards or not? Given that theoretically the GHB units are the only units outside of the Spring Quad we cannot have an infinite army of, opening up the rewards for GHBs again would give people the ability to have a full team of Robyns and Navarres for the purpose of speed HM grinding.
  14. Awakening's OST feels too ambient, if not basic, to me, and so it never really jumps out in musical flair. Fates's has a similar issue, though the differing styles to better reflect Hoshido and Nohr themes do give it identity. Either way, I can still listen to A Dark Fall, Road Taken, A Lost King's Supper, End Of All, and Condemnation for hours on end. Echoes's OST, meanwhile, really sounds....self-assured, for lack of a word. It doesn't have to abide by any particular instrumentation like Fates does, it doesn't have to be lukewarm to the point of being generic like in Awakening, and it doesn't have to have its map themes be a foundation for seguing into the battle themes proper. Each song gets to be its own thing, and it works. To be fair, it gets to do that because it's a remake - Gaiden already laid out the foundation to build on. But that's why I enjoy the two Event themes I linked earlier so much - they didn't come in with a base to work with, and it still sounds so right and emotional. It's a soundtrack brimming with confidence. It know why you're playing the game, and so it's going to give you the sound worthy of an enhanced game.
  15. The main core of Gaiden is disconnected from Awakening. Echoes is basically taking Gaiden and adding a Metroid: Zero Mission flair to it: remaking the original game with modernized, cleaner gameplay elements, and then adding in a final, unexpected chapter after the presumed end of the original story, as a means of fanservice and getting lore established. It's completely harmless, and it gives the newer fans who entered into the series via Awakening a thank-you present from the developers for trying their hand at some classic Fire Emblem. There's not really anything to lose here.
