False, Bartre doubles consistently all the time, there are few enemies he doesn't double. Literally every single one of my playthroughs has yielded this result, and I've played and beaten 7 more than fifteen times. This is not just luck or coincidence. As for Garcia, well like I said I have yet to purposefully try with him. It just...happens.

How you decide which is your favorite is completely up to you. If your favorite is based on how good they are as a unit, or if it's based on their personality, or a combination of both...whatever way you decide is fine.

Indeed! My numbers are fine, nonbeliever! Like I said, FE7/Bartre always ends up as a beastly unit, even when I'm doing Eliwood Mode and can't recruit Karla. I don't even mean to use him that often, not in EM anyway, and yet he somehow always just becomes this monstrous beast of destruction. Geitz is good and useful and good over Bartre should you decide not to use Bartre but still want a Warrior. I say Dorcas is decent, even though he's good some playthroughs but bad others. And Garcia is like Bartre, I have never tried to purposefully use him and level him up, but for some reason he becomes such a beast. YOU MUST BELIEVE!

I would have to say that Renault is my favorite of these three. Lucius and Artur are definitely the better units, and I like all three of them as characters, but I love the mysteriousness of Renault's character. I love all the things that are implied and heavily hinted at but never directly stated in his conversations. He's just a cool mysterious character, I only wish he had a sooner joining time than he did. NOTE: 1: A character's starting class determines which list they go on. For example, Renault is a Bishop, but his starting class would have been a Monk if he wasn't a prepromote, so he goes on the Monk/Bishop list. Beating him in Eliwood Mode doesn't do anything except net you some EXP. But in Hector Mode, you will unlock a special Hector Mode-exclusive chapter, but only if you got Nils to level 7 or higher in Lyn Mode and defeat Kishuna in 19X.

If you take too long to reach him, he leaves. If you don't defeat him in the SAME turn you attack him, he leaves.

Natasha is definitely my favorite of the bunch. She's arguably not as good a unit as others on the list, but I still use her. I like her character a lot too, and pairing her with Joshua is awesome, those two were made for each other. Plus her conversations with other characters (such as Cormag) are top-notch. Bowser (Mario) and Ganondorf/Ganon (Zelda) for sure. Sephiroth (Final Fantasy), Dr. Robotnik/Eggman (Sonic), Dr. Willy (Mega Man), the four ghosts in Pac-Man, Dr. Neo Cortex (Crash Bandicoot [laugh all you want but those Crash Bandicoot games on the PS1 were HUGE]), Dracula (Castlevania), Albert Wesker (Resident Evil), Team Rocket (Pokemon), Andross and Wolf (Star Fox), and I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting.

But then he steals all the EXP you need to get the Gaiden chapter! :3

Lilina is definitely my favorite of this bunch. She's pretty great if you ask me. Lugh is a very close second, though. Hugh and Pent would be third and fourth I think, Nino would be mixed in there too, and then after that I'm not sure. I included Athos on this list because his personal weapon is an Anima tome, and he fits in well enough with the others of this class, definitely better with the other kinds of magic-users.
