  3. Patch updated, changed growths around. On another note... This isn't the first time it has happened, you see... Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to being productive...

  5. Uhm... Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Hugh will have RUTGER'S base stats and growths, while Rutger will have HUGH'S base stats and growths.
  6. And it's done. IPS Patch, so patch it with Lunar IPS or whatever. Take note that this will also translate the game to english. I got lazy, so I simply changed Rutger and Hugh's places. So basically, Hugh will now appear in Rutger's spot, with Rutger's stats and growths. He will have his normal supports, though. The other way for Rutger. And just so that you still have 3 swordmasters in-game... Rutger's class has been changed to a mage. And stuff. Enjoy your Swordmaster Hugh.

First of all, I'd like to show you all more than I'm gonna do today but... Let's just say I have a little problem with the Heal Staff that renders me unable to do more than this ATM. Sorry for the inconvenience. So what is the update about today? Let's see... 1.- Classes! When I started to do everything from scratch, I recalled a little post on the first page... "Why not take a leap and make new classes for new characters?" So I did exactly that. (Lack of screenshots ATM because of the reasons posted above, sorry). First of all, I finished making not too long ago the Merchant class! (Familiar to anyone? Naaah...) A spear-wielding class that has little to no combat capability... At least until you level the character that has it. Yes, this means the Merchant is another Player-Only class, similar to the Mage Knight. For reference, it uses the Recruit battle animation from FE8. More classes... Some enemies will be "hybrid" armor knights, that will have access to both swords and spears. Also, there will be a special "General" class that can wield every single physical weapon type. 2.- Items & Weapons! Mainly weapons, but hey. First of all, Rapiers now have a special lock set on them, a soft lock. What I mean by this is that any (sword-wielding) class will be able to use a rapier... At B Sword Rank. However, the Prince & Princess classes are able to use it at E rank. More things, I have yet to test this, but... I'm planning to include Magicreaver tomes. I don't have to explain how these would work, now do I? When equipped, these tomes will reverse the magic triangle. Simple, I know. And finally... The Crystal Weapons! Basically, these are just special, limited-use weapons that you can get on certain circumstances. As of now, I have made the Crystal Sword, Spear, Axe & Bow. Perhaps I'll make a Tome too. 3.- Graphics! There isn't much to say on this matter... Only that I've got Gabriel Knight's permission (well, they were free use, but just in case..) to use his weapon icons so... Yeah, that's that. 4.- Palettes! Oh yeah. This is where I wanted to get. Basically, I've redone every single character palette, so hopefully they look better now. There will be in a spoiler, and there're more palettes included than those of the original player characters... So yeah. It may or may not be different :3 And finally, I've been trying my hand at some music insertion and... Well. I can say that I'll be importing some songs, at least from other GBAFE games.   13. (I hope this isn't the wrong place to post this...) So, I was experimenting with music insertion lately and I came up with a little problem... Mainly, I needed to use Blazer's All-Instrument Patch for some testing, and it seems like the FEShrine site is down (which as far as I know, and I've googled a little, it's the only site where it is hosted). So, here's the thing. Does anyone still have that Patch, per chance? I'm searching for the FE7 version. Thanks in advance.
  14. Well, who can explain this better than a Spanish person? Answer: no one. Let's see... In Spain (dunno about other countries that speak Spanish) there's two surnames, and it goes like this: [Name, Father's First Surname, Mother's First Surname] Now, a lot of people in Spain (I think it happens in a lot of other countries as well. Once again, I dunno) have two names. If that's the case, that person's full name would be: [First Name, Second Name, Father's First Surname, Mother's First Surname] And finally, even if nowadays we don't use it... In the Ye Olde Spain, we had to use EIGHT surnames to determine that we were of... uhm... "clean blood", meaning that we didn't have any Jewish relatives. The full name in that era would be like this: [Name, Father's First Surname, Mother's First Surname, Grandfather's First Surname (Or Father's Second Surname, it's the same), Grandmother's First Surname (or Mother's Second Surname), Greatgrandfather's First Surname, Greatgrandmother's First Surname, Greatgreatgrandfather's First surname, Greatgreatgrandmother's first surname] But like I said, this last naming convention isn't used anymore (I like to use my first four surnames, tho), and instead the ones we used are the two first ones. Anyway, I hope this cleared things up for you. (I hope I remembered my history lessons correctly with that last one...) EDIT: Agh. Forgot something. This should be obvious, but just in case... Let's say a child whose Father's first surname is "Gonzalez", and his/her mother's first surname is also "Gonzalez". In this case, the surnames will not be merged into one, and the child's full name would be: whateverthechild'snamewouldbe Gonzalez Gonzalez.
  15. Oh hello there, people of Serenes Forest. Haven't seen you all for a while. ... Yeah, I know what you're thinking (or at least I hope that you are). "What happened to the project?". Well, I can provide a quick answer for that: I gave up. If it wasn't obvious already (it's been a year since the last update), I kind of gave up on this. At least, until now. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to say that Fire Emblem: Phantasmal Crest (formerly known as Phantomic Crest) is being remade as you are reading this. I'm improved a little since I last was here, and I'm no longer afraid of doing more... "advanced" things, such as implementing ASM hacks. The old screenshots will be kept in the main post until I can replace them with newer ones, but I'll be putting a little [OUTDATED] tag on them, so you all can known that I'll be updating them as soon as I can. The data about classes and other things will be edited as well, as soon as I've got the chance (read: as soon as I finish inserting most classes). Aaand... I haven't got much else to say for now. I just hope this time I won't give up on this. I'll leave here a little video showing one of the most recent things I made. I'll see you all when I have new updates~! -ShadielTH
  16. I'm baaaaaaaaaack! Been some time since I last came here, I know.

  17. Should've started playing sooner. I blame my finals. Stage 1: Bosses: Sakuya & Patchouli. Party: Sanae, Marisa, Aya. Got a wipeout on my first try, mainly because I was careless and I let Patchy cast Philosopher's Stone. Second try was much easier, because Marisa activated her Last Word, allowing me to drop powerful spells like if there was no tomorrow. That, and the increased damage output from the Short Sword I got earlier, turned this into an incredibly easy fight. Penalty Count: 0 I'll finish Stage 2 whenever I decide if I should take the Reimu penalty or not to survive Red Magic. Stage 2: Bosses: Remilia & Nitori Party: Marisa, Sanae & Aya. Party Level: 6 Whew. Without Reimu, this was nothing more than a battle of luck. I got 5 wipeouts before I won the fight. On my last try, everyone activated their Last Words After Remilia's Second Gungnir. As soon as that happened, I unleashed the strongest attacks I had. The best thing is that Remilia didn't use Red Magic at all. That made her fall easily, and Nitori soon after. Penalty Count: 0 PD: Nitori starts at level 1. I'm starting to hate this game.

  23. You know, I think that there is a very subtle preference to PC-98 Alice here... Anyway, voted her and Koishi EDIT: Aaaaaaand forgot about Dai. Voted her too.
  24. This kind of glitch happens when the game loads units which very separated between them. The only way I know to fix this is by separating them in different groups, according to the distance between them. So a proper fix for that script would be this: Bad: UNIT Zugu Brigand 0x00 Level(3, Enemy, 0) [14,11] [14,14] [PoisonAxe] AttackInRange UNIT Bad2: UNIT 0x67 Brigand 0x00 Level(1, Enemy, 0) [14,11] [13,13] [IronAxe] PursueWithoutHeed UNIT Bad3: UNIT 0x68 Brigand 0x00 Level(1, Enemy, 0) [14,11] [15,13] [IronAxe] PursueWithoutHeed UNIT Bad4: UNIT 0x98 Archer 0x00 Level(2, Enemy, 0) [14,11] [15,14] [IronBow] AttackInRange UNIT Bad5: UNIT 0x97 Mercenary 0x00 Level(2, Enemy, 0) [14,11] [13,15] [IronSword] AttackInRange UNIT Or something that suits you fancy. Of course, fix the pointers and load commands accordingly.
