  1. This is true for every politician ever, not just Trump. Including the immaculate Barack Obama.
  2. Well, Frederick is the Jagen, so he's by default one of the most important characters in the game...
  3. In his confrontation with Walhart, instead of feigning death, he would do the following: And Walhart would cower in fear and run away like a little girl.
  4. So, what's your point? A Jagen is there as a help. What I said is that he can't be the mainstay of your army, not that he shouldn't be used when necessary. If Frederick kills everything (which he can perfectly do as he starts with a Silver Lance), your other units will be starved of exp. I don't think anyone would refrain from deploying Frederick during early game on Hard/Classic and above. But, since he drops quite fast when promoted enemies start to appear, it's unwise to feed him kills that could be fed to other units instead. Balance in FE as I understand it is that the enemies are equal or slightly stronger than your starting units, and you're given the Jagen as a compensation. This obviously means he's useful, but should be used with caution due to his shortcomings.
  5. IMO the biggest problem of Frederick is that he drains exp from the others. As a unit, he doesn't have glaring flaws, but, since he's the Jagen and starts promoted, he earns less with kills, so you get less overall exp, which hurts the whole party. Other than that, he's pretty much your standard Cavalier. I think when maxed out he edges Stahl on Def but loses on Spd or something like that. He's a better pair to paper-thin units than Kellam, too.
  6. Well... :D Yes, Cordelia is not only waifu, she's my favorite as well. Contrary to most people here, I really love most of Awakening's cast for some reason, and my least favorite characters aren't hated, they're just loved less. :D
  7. Really? Because it's not like they actually can do that despite wishing for it. No way to compete with USA and Russia's nukes when the only Muslim country with nuclear weapons is Pakistan, which is far more focused on its quarrel with India than on taking over the world. Russia is arguably even more anti-Muslim than Republican Americans, and for good reason, since they have lots of small territories with sizeable Muslim population threaening violent secession all the time. Just because it's not feasible at the moment, it doesn't mean such a wish doesn't exist. Some of the more radical countries in the Middle East think they should get rid of Israel, for example. Likewise, Israel does not like sharing Jerusalem (and, by extension, the Holy Land) with Muslims, and acts accordingly, doing some really terrible things, all with the blessing of the West. The people carrying out terrorist attacks in the West definitely don't like us, for whatever reasons, otherwise they wouldn't do it. That's why they should be stopped. How to stop it, is not that obvious, because you have immigrants as well as people born and raised in Western countries in the same lot. They are different, and different people should be dealt with differently, which is something neither side understands. Believe it or not, but the world is all the more sweeter when your kind belongs to the ruling faction, and that's why others who don't belong to it will keep trying to create trouble in order to change things. I have become a cynical by heart when it comes to political matters, and this is no different.
  8. God help us all if the Chinese become the dominant power. But that's very likely because they can generate wealth at a much higher rate than us. They're unbound by basic human rights.
  9. Cocoa. I like sweet things. Which is why I like my tea and coffee with lots of sugar, but cocoa is still superior.
  10. I had no idea you eat twice during Ramadan days. That's actually not too bad depending on where you live, but most Muslims live in very hot places (North Africa, Middle East, Central and Southern Asia), so it's probably quite difficult for them.
  11. I know you're, like, native Portuguese and thus you have a better understanding of it, but I don't think it's that simple... When it served the Church's interests, they had no issue with technological developments at all. The Inquisition was at full force in the 15th and 16th centuries, yet Portugal saw an unprecedented level of naval developments, because it would help the Church expand its zone of influence. As long as it didn't interfere in their dogmas (like Giordano Bruno and Galileo Galilei did), the Church was fine with science and techonology.
  12. I think we in the West are rightfully scared of terrorism. But when there are so many unrelated people with similar backgrounds engaging in terrorist activity you can't help but feel whether there's a systematic issue in our society rather than simply religious fanatics having a go at Western infidels. The guy who bombed the Ariana Grande show was born and raised in Britain. Hard to simply wash your hands and blame it all on Muslim terrorist in such case. Another problem is that ISIS reminds me a lot of that Blue Whale thing. I don't think the Daesh's tentacles extend much beyond their borders, but their ideology and values are out there online for anyone who searches hard enough. Someone who lives a dysfunctional life and has some relation to ISIS, however loose it is (it may be just a case of following the same faith), may find this stuff, be influenced by it and easily become a "lone wolf", as they're being portrayed. All these groups such as skinheads, ISIS and other ones, they all feed on the neglected ones in society. They have an allure that our society doesn't. These are, effectively and literally, marginalized people. And I think it'll only get worse because there hasn't ever been a single civilization grounded on equality, so these people will keep appearing, and new ideologies will continue to be created to draw these people in and dispose of them to serve their nefarious means.
  13. This was not exclusively due to religion... Portugal's administration of its colonies was not on the level of the empire it once held.
  14. In my case the people were detrimental to my mental health. ;) But that's all it comes down to. The people.
  15. Well, I like Pokémon's version of Tony the Tiger. :D Considering how poor of a job they did with Pyroar's movepool, I dread to think how Incineroar would've turned out if he had been a quadrupedal tiger.
  16. It's not a weird mindset. It's a correct one. :P But RPG is a little different because it requires lore and likable characters and all that stuff that other genres could do without.
  17. The community aspect for me was zero because due to cultural shift in recent times the average age of people who go to mass is increasing, so there was nothing there for me to enjoy and no one else to talk to.
  18. I was very anti-religion for a while, but then came to realize I don't understand the hate towards it. It's unreasonable to say the values of people who lived millennia ago were universally bad because they didn't have the tools to know any better than they did. Civilizations require order to function, and religion provided just that. Marriage for example was grounded on religion but it had always been pretty much strictly a legal contract, one with prominently political implications. Religion simply provided the justification. Just take a look at the Ten Commandments. Every single one of them is designed to maintain order in society and prevent strife. Chastity was stimulated and enforced so people wouldn't go around having sex with everyone and getting diseases because of it. Older societies such as the Ancient Greeks were more liberal, but the monotheistic societies are considered a development of politheistic ones for many reasons. For one, the Greeks and Romans liberally enslaved people and weren't known for their kind treatment of women (though, to be fair, women had usually had it hard everywhere). Meanwhile, Christianity in its beginning had a strong social component, as its raison d'être was basically that Judaism had lost its way and a prophet appeared to expose it. Since I'm a pragmatist, what I don't like are the rituals. To me, going to the mass is useless. I used to sleep during the priest's speeches. I prefer to relate to religion in a more academic way. Most people's hatred of religion stems from being forced to endure that stuff, as well as an overglorification of science.
  19. More proper comparison would be like playing Civilization. On Easy difficulty. :D
  20. I see. Well, I haven't read the book (I've read a bit of Twilight), though I've watched some bits of the film. IMO there's still some merit in it, though obviously not enough to warrant the attention it got. However, as a man, it's quite difficult for me to understand all the fuss, although there were some things in the film that I liked.
  21. I don't get how 50 Shades of Grey is so much different from something like Scary Movie. Oh well... I actually find it easier to create my own thing. People already troll you when you write your own original stuff, but when you do fan fiction, they troll you even harder if it's not to their taste.
  22. IMO the best "what if" would be... In Chapter 9, when asked if you want to save Emmeryn at the end of Chapter 9, if you pick "No", the game progresses as normal, but when you reach Chapter 23 and trigger the cutscene, the game will end in a Bad End, as the Avatar completes their transformation into Grima. If you pick "Yes" in Chapter 9, the Avatar resists Grima's influence and the story continues as usual. It'd have been pretty nice, and would require some adjustments in the plot, but they'd never do it, because people would rage at a bad end after having played through so much of the game. However, the plot adjustments would be minor and pretty much restricted to the Avatar.
  23. I see. I thought FE12 had the Avatar but not Casual mode. Thanks. :)
