  1. The reason I brought up Selena because she’s fairly good at base, due to her high Spd and Def. She only wants Tonics and Str Pair Up to get started, she does not need to be fed kills. And it depends on your Boon/Bane, but Felicia staying as a maid can be good to help Levin Sword use. Bow Knight can work if you really need the help against fliers, and does give move in Pair Up. Camilla+Zero+Azura+others Tag Teaming should be enough though. You're probably overprepared (I'm assuming Silas/Effie are 10/11? or are they base?). Haitaka's Rally Defense could help.
  2. Luna is unreliable at these amounts of Skl because whiffing it in 2 attacks (if doubling) probably means you need a backup plan. Sol is also unreliable in a single combat round, but it can be thought of as +avoid. After engaging several enemies, if it procs at least once, it might allow Silas to more reliably survive something he wouldn’t otherwise. Sol is better in the maingame, though really Silas is fine just being a Paladin. Maybe getting Shurikenbreaker for some special enemies lategame Conquest Lunatic.
  3. I still get flashbacks to the Ninja cave (trying to save Saizou, Corrin being useless) and the hit rates on the foxes from my first (blind) Nohr Lunatic run months ago. >_>
  4. Camilla/Selena join in the chapter. And I don't think Mozu's paralogue scales like the children ones for exp purposes? I guess I never really delay it. I'd say Silas is probably the most worth investing into if Jakob isn't an option. Corrin is probably too high level to get much exp for that chapter. If you really want to use Mozu for some reason, give her the exp though. Archer does give her a niche, even if inefficient.
  5. Can't say about PvP, which is the only real "postgame" content, but the children will be fine for the ingame story chapters. Even great, as children go, since Forrest will get a ton of Spd from Corrin and Kana gets lots of magic for Levin Sword/Dragonstone while even helping his Hp/Def a little bit.
  6. The most important "trick" to C10 is use Camilla a lot, even if for some reason you're normally adverse to using prepromotes. One round the Defense Seal lancers and Oboro to not deal with the Def loss, one shot the Ninjas to not deal with Poison, or pair with Odin and use magic, etc. There are a lot of ways to approach the chapter based on your team. In terms of what should nearly always work regardless of levels/earlier decisions... Selena at base + Arthur/Beruka + Tonics can fight decently, particularly Onis. Odin/Nyx+Azura can weaken enemies significantly with the magic orb. Niles+Azura should ohko Pegasus that fly by, have others use Attack stance with Niles if stuff misses. Also, early promote someone you don’t plan to use (as a combat unit) long-term if really necessary. Maybe Silas or Effie to Great Knight if level 10 to tank, Selena to Hero to oneround stuff, etc. They can still be Pair-Up support later, or Selena can go to Falcon for staves/Rally/flight.
  7. Yeah, the whole 2 tonic + 3 elbow room + 1 defender + 3 gunter + 2 malig knight Pair Up (sub +2 Nyx + 3 Dark Knight/Falcon probably in this run) + 2 spirit dust + 2 weapon rank + 12 levin sword = 27 att before Mag carries you pretty far, even without much of the actual stat. C15 is only Corrin, Azura if Gunter can’t be used, which is why I brought it up. This is similar enough to the pre-split chapters that maybe an exception can be made though.
  8. For anything without Sword rank, reclass asap to build the new rank (though probably after level 10). The best classes here are probably Ninja, Diviner, Dark Mage for 1-2 range or Wyvern Rider for flight+Tomes later. For cavalier, reclass asap (after level 10), since it's basically just free move and damage. Promote Corrin at 20 for Conquest (or around 18 if you really need the promo gains). Promote from 15-20 in Birthright. You can afford to promote earlier on the easier difficulties (but I guess it also matters less there).
  9. It’s not that many battles to build the support. Lazlow to Pieri (mounted so probably used, and fast support growth) and Keaton to Camilla maybe (gives her Str for Hand Axe ohkos). The inefficiency there is similar to slowing down to recruit all characters and not sacrificing any, which is a relatively common restriction. Additional turns in the paralogues will help out too. But I just kinda want to see some of the child paralogues done efficiently. >_>. They’ll probably be free in drafts and skipped in lowest-tc runs. Alos, didn’t want to sell the Goddess Icon? I find it’s useful to buy a Javelin or whatever + the heart Seal + tonics, but maybe it’ll prove unnecessary for C8 if Corrin is the Cav. (though I don’t touch the scrolls/herbs these days, even to sell) Oh and some thoughts re: Wyvern, I was experimenting with it a bit, Bronze Axe + Str+2 is the same mt as Yato early, though no elbow room (but close enough to Prince/ss, which is enough judging by runs with Jakob). Can go Malig Knight later w/ Tomes/Bolt Axe, or +Str for hand axe ohkos. But the lategame is a little concerning to me. Who beats C23 and C27/E bosses? Does Yato bonus against Dragonskin apply like the stats, if it’s just the inventory but not equipped?
  10. Horse Spirit + Kaze S + Tonic is like +11 Spd.
  11. Almost everyone physical wants to be a Dread Fighter (except some mounted units and maybe some bow users) because Shurikens are that good. The Ninjas might be the best because they already have weapon rank though it's a very similar class to what they already have. Mozu technically has the best growths for it (especially if you're training up weapon rank anyway) but tbh her hp is still really low. Azama has barely worse growths and better Hp/Def. Everyone magical wants to be a Dark Falcon. Saizou in an unorthodox option with decent durability. The best candidates are Corrin (by far the best stats between the level lead early and the servant bonuses) and the early servant however (actually get Galeforce before lategame).
  12. hype. ^_^ I'd lean toward allowing males to Pair Up because it's be more entertaining to me (and what about C15...). Especially if you grab the female kids. But either will be interesting.
  13. Yeah, it’s considerably easier with Jakob because of his durability (Corrin has Jakob but Yato is -1, Jakob has the bases/Defender/Res+2/maybe +1 from Naginatas). And accuracy, and mobility, and having Corrin to still one-round stuff elsewhere. Also if she’s using mostly Yato earlier, Kodachi has wtd against Ninja and no wta against mages so maybe miss some ohkos (And they hit harder. +Mag probably can’t ohko, too). Corrin isn’t better until the mid tier Yato/Levin Sword and promotion. ot: Strategist!Felicia helped a ridiculous amount my first runs, with her healing+chip+auras.
  14. Probably Paladin!Jakob or Silas. Visit the houses early before enemies become overwhelming. Ninja!Corrin, or GK!Jakob, or earlypromoted Kaze/Silas make things a lot easier.
  15. https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/hiushi/FE14AverageStats/blob/master/index.html ?
  16. Corrin is at full health turn 3 enemy phase, and sometimes only faces Rinkah+Myrm (depends how the left oni moves, he might die into Gunter turn 2. +Str Boon and Gunter kills him though). Felicia should be out of range of the left enemies turn 3.
  17. I think you can change genders at the branching point. Unless you’re attached to male for relationship purposes or such. Like I said, I beat with Felicia before (and a below-average Corrin), but it was a lot harder than it had to be. Recently, I used Paladin!Jakob and just steamroll’d through the earlygame. Like all the tricky Seal stuff early doesn’t matter if Jakob just straightup onerounds them. The Physical+mage combination doesn’t matter since Jakob(+Tonic+Effie) is tanky on both sides. Ninjas don’t matter because Jakob just one-shots them with a Javelin.
  18. It might be faster/easier to just restart from the branching point, then reclass Jakob and train him in C7 and Mozu's level. Then let Seth + Effie steamroll some stuff.
  19. Isn't it kinda easy on Hard since Kaze is the only one with range? Go up the right turn 1. Turn 2 Felicia chips a myrm, Corrin kills. Gunter kills Kaze with Corrin's attack stance. Myrm attacks Felicia (who counters with Corrin astance). Turn 3, Felicia finishes the myrm while out of range. Gunter hits Rinkah, Corrin stands next to him. Enemy phase they all die. I just tried with +Str. Since Felicia doesn't have the att, this does rely on a Corrin attack stance and Corrin has like 65 disp hit so it's not totally reliable. On Lunatic, the reliable 3 turn I'm aware of does need Jakob's damage. I even have Gunter+Jakob attack stance Kaze so it's even more consistent than the Hard mode Felicia strat.
  20. If Corrin isn’t a very strong build and you don’t have Jakob, certainly the early chapters will be a lot harder than they need to be. I remember, as that was the situation my first Nohr blind lunatic run. But between the Freeze Staff, and Azura, and Pair Up-switch-transfer-shelter, you should have enough turns to clear it going left. Is Corrin with Felicia with Dragonstone strong enough to distract the top and right enemies for a few turns? Sell the Goddess Icon for money if you have it and buy tonics also. Buy a concoction if characters need more healing and Elise is elsewhere. I think the boss only has 7 Spd and Silas with Tonic with Arthur has 12 at base and good hit rate with Lances. Should be able to outdamage Nosferatu. edit: Base Silas has 11 Str + 2 tonic + 4 Arthur + 3 Elbow Room + 5 Bronze Lance + 1 wta = 26 att. Doesn't that oneround the boss (let him hit you first on enemy phase, survive with tonics)? You still have Effie and Corrin to clear the other enemies nearby. edit2: uh with the gate barely not it seems. But try something like that and chip the boss a little (or Silas has +1 str).
  21. Taking Cavalier as your talent usually allows Corrin to reclass into it earlier and also passes it on to Kana. I forgot that non-Kana children can inherit Nohr Prince/ss so I actually don’t think any talent would pass to Shigure, my mistake. But since you're using Corrin(M), the best use of the first Heart Seal is probably on him. May want to go +Str or Mag over +Spd since Felicia gives plenty of Spd. My preferred +Spd setup is more for if Jakob is reclassed first (sorry I just automatically assume that sometimes and the difference with Felicia doesn't register). Cavalier can be considered an "upgrade" from Dark Blood, trading the dragonstone (which can't double and therefore cannot oneround in guard stance) for +2 move, +2 damage per attack from Elbow Room (-1 Str for the class). The strong stats, plus the mobility allows Corrin to handle a lot of situations efficiently.
  22. Heart Seal from the Vendor. Not as useful for Felicia though.
  23. I usually have a reclassed Jakob with Lances to handle it, but if you haven’t reclassed him or have Felicia, try debuff and then Niles with Arthur Guard Stance + Elise standing nearby with her Personal?
  24. You can also unfreeze the lake with the DV the turn you fight Flora so that whoever is over there doesn't die. I usually use Corrin/Silas while Jakob rolls through the east side. Niles handles the bottom mages. edit: Well that's if you want to rout everything, but considering it's kill boss and you only need 3 villages, just push the left side faster. You can get there before the reinforcements if you fight Flora like I mentioned above.
  25. I recently revisited the chapter in Lunatic. If Corrin can survive 1 archer/1 myrm on the bridge (I think it’s 8 Def), can engage the boss turn 4 enemy phase with Gunter+Corrin, then kill with Corrin (~50% success), seize with Jakob for 5 turns. Otherwise I didn’t figure out a consistent way to do so (between Duelist’s Blow on the Myrm and Jakob or Corrin not surviving), so spend a turn cleaning up or healing and engage turn 6 or 7. Though for the best odds against the boss, probably want Corrin+Gunter in guard stance, plus Jakob’s Gentilhomme aura lets her survive 2 rounds against the boss+archers as long as she has 7 Def which is fairly likely. Need to hit 2 of 3 attacks which is like ~75%. She needs 9 Str to 2hko (otherwise need Gunter to kill). Gunter can’t seem to survive 2 rounds of the boss+archer unless you have Felicia (but that complicates other things). There could also be something said about sacrificing Gunter here (I think it doesn’t matter??) If Jakob has 9 Str, can also have Gunter attack, Jakob attacks with Gunter in attack stance, Corrin seizes, though that’s hitting 3 of 3 which is like ~35% success. Can also have Corrin kill, but the hit rate is even more terrible without Gunter in attack stance. Or spend 20+ turns like others have mentioned. :\
