  1. Why is charge so low, too? Generally good activation rate, better than Astra/Luna certainly, and risking another hit isn't such a horrible thing. It's also not locked to sword footies.
  2. Yeah, I think that firearms would be really inappropriate for the setting. The pseudo-medieval fantasy setting is already pretty incoherent without introducing firearms on top of that. Especially rifles, which weren't invented until the 18th century.
  3. Radiant Dawn RE4 Xenoblade SSBB Super Mario Galaxy note that I have only actually played about seven Wii games
  4. Thanks for uploading this. I'd say 100%. Even for characters like Astrid and Titania who got lame expressions, the quality makes up for it. Biggest improvement is Tormod.
  5. FE12 H3 Gharnef beats Nergal in everything except Luck, and I guess defense.
  6. It really wouldn't be that hard to make Wind/Fire/Thunder magic that was balanced.
  7. Super Recruit would be viable if it kept the super fast exp gain. Rush to level 10/10 and activate Paladin Mode.
  8. Oh, to support my earlier statement about support for gay rights (even if that doesn't extend to supporting gay marriage) in the republican party, this has turned up.
  9. Yes. I also forgot the possibility of engaging Brook at 1 range because the Master Lance has 10 less hit than the Master Bow...
  10. Master weapons are also extremely inaccurate and don't start showing up until rather late in the game. In fact, you don't have to fight a boss with a Master weapon until 16A. And Brook will only have about ~40 hit on Asvel. And he needs to hit twice. And if Asvel crits or procs Continue he kills without having to take a counter.
  11. Holsety is around for 7.5 out of 12 chapters, which relative to graphcalibur is pretty decent (consider that graphcalibur can't be repaired infinitely). Maybe they were thinking of Aura, which was Linde exclusive in FE3?
  12. By that standard, Steal should be bottom since it's only attached to Dew and Patty and Daisy who suck balls. In fact, Steal should be lower anyway. It's not like Bargain doesn't remove most money issues on it's own. Prayer should be below Elite.
  13. I would like to hear some of these incoherencies... That being said, what people like about GoT is the convoluted plotline that follows many characters. After all, when exploring a huge fantasy world, it would rather be a waste to have the whole story follow (say) Jon.
  14. I hate logic like this. "well they were going to vote for him anyway..." This announcement increases enthusiasm among his party base. And perhaps there were many independents who supported gay rights but excused voting for Romney under the basis that "well Obama's not doing anything about gay marriage anyway". Obviously this announcement alone does not win him votes, but it's all part of presenting a picture of himself as being socially progressive. It's becoming increasingly difficult for the Republican party to use culture war issues to win. And especially in the light of recent developments with Romney, with that thing with his foreign policy advisor, and that bullying thing, Romney is increasingly being represented as a retrograde homophobe and Obama as progressive and enlightened. More than 50% of the population support gay marriage. And there are many who might not support gay marriage specifically but be in favour of civil unions, against DADT and so on. It's not like there aren't gay people in the Republican party, either, or people who support gay marriage. Could this motivate them to switch sides? Could this motivate some of the many people in the US who don't vote to vote Democrat? It also increases enthusiasm among his financial supporters.
  15. Often, they are identical; for instance, in the United Kingdom they are identical under law.
  16. Well, it's probably unaffordable but there is no reason to wait if you can afford it. You don't get interest on the stuff, and unless there are units who are also waiting for promotion (maybe Oscar and Makalov) to better weapon types, promoting her should take priority. No, it doesn't. There is absolutely no reason why we should care how expensive it is to overlevel Astrid, since that is not something we will be doing anyway. And certainly it is a strawman to suggest that this means that all characters are equal. By which you mean "Astrid costs you less BEXP". BEXP is easily measurable, but I don't really care to guess exactly how many units of "flexibility" Astrid is "giving" us.
  17. North Carolina is not the first state or even the tenth to write a definition of marriage into their constitution. Although we can hope it's the last; North Carolina was previously the only southern state to lack a constitutional ban on gay marriage. It's a bit silly, really, to describe this as a ban; same-sex marriage is already not legal in North Carolina, this merely enshrines it in the constitution. Not really. You can criticise Obama for not making his opinion public earlier, but does that mean he has to keep it quiet forever? If taking a firm stance is going to help him win the White House, we should be glad that he's done it. Actually, it's to help him win the election. One in six of Obama's big donors are gay. And opinion polls now suggest a majority of Americans support gay marriage. Moreover, by moving the new cycle back towards social issues, Obama reduces the scrutiny on his economic record. By the way, I think what's going on in Colorado is a lot more interesting.
  18. And you'll give her less BEXP to compensate, quite obviously. If Astrid has a level lead over Makalov, it's an empty level lead since it won't translate into her having better combat or whatever since Makalov will still ORKO. As I said, the difference between Astrid and Makalov is not that she has better combat, or a level lead, since her level lead won't translate into better combat since there's nothing better than ORKOing. It's just that Astrid is usually cheaper in terms of BEXP.
  19. What, she's just going to run around and chip enemies with a bow? There is absolutely no point in holding off on BEXPing Astrid to promotion if you can afford it especially when she wants to build Axe Rank. The point was more that just because she's cheaper doesn't mean she'll be at a higher level. Being cheaper is obviously a good thing and I don't have any problem with Astrid being over Makalov but I don't see any point in BEXPing Astrid past the point where she ORKOes. So she won't have a "level lead".
  20. That's dumb. We have enough BEXP that they can charge around and ORKO everything and never die, why does it matter if it's cheaper to overlevel Astrid? As far as I can tell, the only difference between Makalov and Astrid is that Astrid is cheaper in terms of BEXP maintenance. Astrid won't actually win in stats since we won't BEXP them past a certain point.
  21. Krabby also has perhaps one of the best Nuzlocke abilities in Shell Armor, since it prevents those unlucky critical hits. It's easy to check whether a Krabby has Hyper Cutter since you can just attempt a Growl, so it shouldn't be hard to arrange a Shell Armor Crabby.
  22. It looks like it is probably possible to position Calill below the ledge on the LHS. In fact, it looks like there's nothing in that strategy that can't be mirrored and done on the LHS, unless the General there is slightly tougher, and even then Calill can probably ORKO with the Spirit Dust. She will still get attacked by the Warrior, but wouldn't double her. Not that I see why it's necessary for her to survive. Does any of his later strategies rely on having a siege tome user? As for the 1 mt she needs: "Kind of funny that base level Calill can ORKO that General with Bolting." "I still gave her some stat boosters so she's not killed by that cat." Apparently there are enough stat boosters lying around that we can easily afford to throw them on Calill. I'm not surprised. Plus you could give Calill the virtually uncontested Spirit Dust... or a Tormod support (which she should have anyway for Chapter 22). Tormod has enough weight to shove Reyson and if he's untrained we hardly care if he dies. Calill will probably gain a level off Schaeffer, for free. And it should go without saying that any low turn strategy for Chapter 27 is inherently unreliable because of Hafedd's Miracle skill. And probably pretty undesirable to boot. After all, you miss out on Resolve. Well, siege tomes are useless after turn 3 since by that point a 6 move siege tome sage is outranged by a 9 move Paladin. Being able to move further and not be rescue-dropped would be useful in larger maps such as Chapter 26 and Chapter 23. It's a cost, the benefit usually outweighs it. Called by who? I don't see why giving Rolf a forge is ever a problem. You get so many, and certainly you will never break any if you go as fast as Vykan does. Of course not, but it's absurd to suggest that Bastian using siege tomes doesn't come at a cost; namely, that a more competent person won't be using them instead. If you can deny Rolf BEXP because there is always a more competent user, I can deny Bastian siege tomes because there is always a more competent user. It depends on your definition of efficient. Did he contribute anything to Vykan's playthrough? No. Neither did Bastian, though. Maybe Bastian can survive where Calill cannot, but it's irrelevant since even if he does survive he's still useless. And Rolf contributed in some ways to my playthrough. There is a lot of room in this game to train idiots like Mia and Rolf and have them kill enemies, but that doesn't make it an intelligent choice. Except that Colonel M argued that Rolf should not be allowed to keep his bow. Obviously this is incorrect and not at all like saying Bastian should not be given siege tomes. I was not the one who brought up Wolt, Colonel M did, so I don't get why you're bitching at me. Not at all. For a start, an efficient playthrough shouldn't even recruit both Marcia and Jill since both do pretty much the same job, but cost turns to recruit. Second, additional defensive parameters beyond what is needed for our strategies is useless. We know how many attacks they will face, and they only need enough defensive parameters to survive that many and not any more. In fact, if anything, excess defensive parameters are a bad thing since we don't know exactly how the AI will respond to them and we almost always want units to be attacking Jill and Marcia rather than other units. That being said, additional hit is almost always welcome. Unlikely. In a playthrough as fast as Vykan's, I doubt Mist will ever reach B Staves. Can you even use Arms Scrolls on staff rank in this game?
