  1. Let's see... -Bad offense without scrolls -Bad offense with scrolls -Meh movement
  2. I think it's rather silly to balance characters around the assumption that we're going super duper fast efficiency dondon mode. My Lucius hit A Rank. In Chapter 23. Ranked, btw. WEXP is very very easy.
  3. More changes: It now deals properly with class changing to a promoted or demoted class 2 class changes are now possible Battle Monk/Cleric and Priest/Cleric caps didn't work so I fixeded them I have some questions for Othin if he's floating around anywhere: -When a character class changes, their level goes down by 10, correct? Does that mean that a level 10 and a level 11 character class changing both go to level 1? -How is a character's "real" level for the purposes of EXP calculated?
  4. Whoops I changed that so it should be fine nao
  5. Version 1.1 up: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alt0Cd8wyCpLdGduRUZjbUR5bUFjZEJHLVdqaXozZXc#gid=0 Changes: Introduced caps. Caps take the unit you're using into account. Introduced HM and Lunatic mode bonuses. Introduced class change. Expanded class lists. All classes in the game are now listed. but some don't have data To do: Class growth and base data is still incomplete. Promotion and demotion. Allow MU's caps to take account of Best/Worst Stats. I want to eventually expand the tables so you can get averages for up to 5 class changes. Technically, it also shouldn't permit you to pick an initial class since everyone already has an initial class.
  6. Irrelevant. Warp staves exist; they're part of the game. It's absurd to say that every unit will get Warped wherever they want, but it's just as absurd to say that none of them will ever get Warped. The only reasonable answer is to look at scrolls as they're actually used, which is sometimes but not never, depending on what is practical - just like scrolls. Whether you like it or not. I don't have a problem with choosing to ignore any of those things. It's you who is complaining about certain options being ignored. Elite Mode is part of the game. According to you, that means we can't ignore it. I think we can ignore whatever we want.
  7. It's nice that you admit that Marty is horrible. Unless you actually apply a standard to playing the game, nothing is useful. We can ignore whatever we like for the purposes of discussion. We ignore recruitment costs and starting equipment and warpskipping and seizing for the purposes of discussion, don't we? and also elite mode in this instance
  8. There's no attack boost from having S Rank... in either this game or 8. Renault only doubles one boss in Light, and it's Darin. And even then he needs to use a weapon that doesn't slow him down. Er, Lucius?
  9. Link Type in the name, the class, what level you plan to promote at, and the difficulty mode. Supports class changing.
  10. If we're rigging stats, Boyd still wins. He promotes earlier and has 1-2 range weaponry.
  11. No, because you suggested I use my ability. I think that's a waste. We've never really got along and I did act in a scummy manner, so I don't really begrudge your actions. If you had bandwagoned after four votes on me that would have been scummy, but you didn't, you were one of the first to vote for me iirc. Hardly. My ability is useful, useful enough not to be thrown away, but it's still not that great compared to being a doctor or a cop or something. The problem is that now that the mafia know I have a somewhat weak role they'll target other people.
  12. Pretty much. I think that's a pretty good case for keeping it in reserve. I think that most people would agree that an ability this strong would never be given to mafia, either.
  13. Yes: pretty much everyone. You especially. Pushing for me to waste my ability didn't help your case. However, I know not to trust my personal instincts or gut feelings, since they're usually wrong. Hell, I spend 95% of this phase not even understanding what my ability did.
  14. I suppose it's not such a useless ability. Leaving it up to a democratic vote can be a bad idea especially if there are a high proportion of mafia players who can sway the vote in the direction they want. In a 3 town/2 mafia split it might very well make the difference between victory and defeat.
  15. The growths for Sothe in the FE9 section are wrong; while Blossom can produce non-integer values, the game still rolls RAND(1-100) (I think), and in the case of Fixed Mode non-integer growth point values are also rounded. So Sothe's growths should all be rounded down for Random Mode, and for fixed mode averages they should be rounded up. I'm not sure how BEXP abuse in Fixed Mode works with Blossom values, but I doubt that the decimals have a large effect.
  16. What else could I do with it? I suppose the cop could "use" me to ensure kills on a confirmed mafia without having to claim publicly.
  17. Wow, okay, apparently I COMPLETELY misunderstood my role. Shooting a player does indeed stop the lynch. Still, Prims wants me to fire today, so I guess today is the day that I fire today. Quick votal?
  18. Pretty sure the lynch still occurs. It would be very weird if it didn't work that way.
  19. Sadly, that's not how it works. When I shoot, the phase ends immediately.
  20. This is what Prims has told me to do. By using my ability, I clear myself. I improve the town's position by increasing the amount of information. If I am mafia it stops me from using the ability later, spontaneously to ensure a town defeat. (this is a pretty bad argument btw) If I die, I can't use my ability. It's wasted if I don't use it, and the longer I wait the more likely it is.
  21. Oh, and if anyone wants to see my full role PM I can copy it.
  22. Might as well publicly claim. I am a day vigilante with one use. Prims said I should use my ability. I will. I'm receptive to opinions on who I should use it on. I was going to use it on Kaoz (second highest number of votes) but if Straw thinks I shouldn't, I won't. Two hours left, people.
  23. Just because the lynch is on Shinori doesn't make you safe, Kaoz.
