Hm... in the current canon, Nyna presents Marth with the Fire Emblem in chapter 6. That's way too early for a promotion. But what if it happened after you seize Archanea Castle instead? Say, the Emblem was left behind in the castle. That's chapter 12 in the base game, and 14 in your newly proposed chronology. Either way, it's right around the midpoint of the campaign. Seems as good a time as any to promote. This way, "gaining the Fire Emblem" and "obtaining new skills, stats, and a new model on promotion" could go hand-in-hand. Or we have Nyna hang onto the Fire Emblem from the very start, but only actively pass it over to Marth at a point in time where she comes to trust him more than she fears Artemis's Curse, which can conveniently be done at any time the gameplay demands. Why not just write fanfiction if the point isn't the gameplay?

Because the OP of this thread takes way less time and effort to write than a fan fic that, probably, no one will read, and because the idea is still in my head as a game with the pacing and progression thereof.
