Seph
One day while I was raping FE4, I turned Lex into Julius just for fun: Unused Class 1(Lex): Out comes this weird class. I'm guessing this is an unused class? It looks awfully like a ninja. Then I turned Azel into Julius: Unused Class 2 (Azel): A ninja with a lance or what? Looks too robed to be a soldier.. May I have an explanation of this from a hacker or something? Edited January 10, 2009 by Shanan
Rodykitty
I concede. FE4 is the best game ever. No other FE game lets you have Pirates vs. Ninja.
Drayano
What weapons would the ninjas wield? No knives ;-; Swords perhaps?
Seph
Swords, look at that huge sword on the map sprite.
Herr Wozzeck
I concede. FE4 is the best game ever. No other FE game lets you have Pirates vs. Ninja. Ninja would win since swords beat axes on the weapon triangle. But still, pretty interesting...
Seph
I'll try doing the same to Azel next, and see what happens. FIRST POST EDITED, I DISCOVERED SOMETHING, TRYING ETHLIN, CUAN AND FIN NEXT. Edited January 10, 2009 by Shanan
dondon151
I wonder if this is related to the sword/spear/axe soldiers that were unused in FE5? Lex looks like a sword soldier. EDIT: oops, turns out they were unused in FE4, and I was exactly recalling the page that VincentASM brought up. Fia
Lots of images here, beware. I just finished my search, and these are what I found. 5 weird unused classes. Class 1: Soldier Class 2: Spear Soldier Class 3: Axe Soldier Class 4: Archer Class 5: Sword Soldier

Class 1: Soldier Class 2: Spear Soldier Class 3: Axe Soldier Class 4: Archer Class 5: Sword Soldier So there were soldiers in this game after all! I was wondering what had happened to those guys... And apparently, Sword Soldier could be confused with a ninja...
Rei Rei
HOLY SHIT, those classes are awesome. May this thread be on the anals of the FE4 History, and I am in the first page, w00t. Try turning them into Ishtar, Shanan.

Seph
Do you get different varieties of the soldier class, though? Lex is always a sword soldier, while Azel seems to always be a lance soldier. Huh, s'nothing new (notice the asterisks). When I first posted the thread, Lex looked like something weird to me. Only further research showed that what you said was indeed the case. Edited January 10, 2009 by Shanan
Marthur
I wonder if they originally planned to give all the cavaliers the "dismount" option. Also, perhaps they forgot to remove the option from Celice and that's the reason why it causes the game to crash when using it. Fia
Prety neat.I wonder if the Soldier had a promotion.... I doubt it. Despite having their own class sprite, those soldiers doesn't have their own battle sprites. Soldier class' battle sprite was just a copy of Social Knight's. VincentASM
Judging from FE2, it could have been Armor, eg. Sword Soldier to Sword Armor. Of course, this is complete speculation.

Boo,they reserved it for FE5, perhaps, but even then just used the Lance Soldier.

But Archer to Bow Armor? That's look a bit too far? ^^;;
