Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Which do you prefer? Paladin: Extra Movements + 2/3 Weapon Triangle advantage or Great Knight: Full Weapon Triangle advantage + Defensive armour mounted unit
Bananas
Paladins. Great Knights have cute horses, though :P
Herr Wozzeck
Wasn't there another topic on this subject? My memory's evading me here... But anyways, I say Great Knight. It's really not as bad a class as most people think it is.
Martelé
I prefer Pallies because of their superior movement. GKs have nice caps, but who's reaching them anyway? Axes are nice, though. Edited February 13, 2009 by Marorii
Mekkah
Used to like Great Knights better. Promo bonus and caps are slightly better, and from there it's axes vs 2 mov. But vykan kinda convinced me Pally >>> due to 2 mov being quite a lot more helpful than axes, since the flexibility increase is much more helpful than the slight boost in combat. Junkhead
It all depends on the character, we can't say Forde makes a better Great Knight than Kyle.
Ranger
Great Knight all the way
Florete
I'd go with Paladin. Axes and caps are nice, but this game is easy enough that I think 2 move beats those out.
Shadow Mir
Paladin. I loathe the Great Knight animation, and the GK sprite is just ugly. Also, I don't like having to avoid both Armorslayers AND horseslayers. Edited February 13, 2009 by Fayt Raybrandt

Well tbh it depends on circumstance. For instance, if Forde is supporting Kyle and both are taking a 7 mov unit as their B, then it would be sensible to make them go GK since Forde wants axes to improve his fairly average attack power. However, If you have a Franz-Seth-Forde triangle going, you definitely want Forde to be a paladin so he can keep up with his partners. Mekkah
Well, yeah, the convo I was referring to was talking about Franz. If Kyle has, say, MK Lute as his support partner, it doesn't matter much whether he goes with 6 or 8 move, so I suppose they'd take the axes then. CGV
Paladins. I don't need three weapons for one unit, especially since there are axe/lance/swordreavers
riariadne
i like great knights. Armor/horse-slayers are so uncommon that the point is null, and they're great at tanking, so those are my thoughts. I have more to say about this, but I'll bring it up later. Yuli
I prefer Great Knights. I like it having the chance of weilding at 3 types weapons.
_____
I prefer to have Kyle and Franz become Great Knights, and to have Forde become a Paladin. Overall, though, I prefer Great Knights.
Bohemund
Great Knights are awesome, but I voted Paladins. Edited February 14, 2009 by Bohemund
Icon of Sin
Pallies for sure for Franz and Forde. Kyle makes a decent Great Knight, but you might still want him as a Paladin. Edited February 14, 2009 by Arion
Kintenbo
Of all the secondary promotions, Great Knight has been the only choice I'd go with. I'm not as big a movement nut, so 8 movement isn't as big a deal to me. The only one I'd make a Great Knight is Kyle, though.
Numb
Paladins, I mean you got to feel for the horse the GK is riding anyways, Paladins because the +2 move is better then having all 3 weapons to me
Moose
Paladins great knights are too slow fer me
Ϲharlie
I make Franz into a Paladin so he can keep up with Seth. Forde becomes a Paladin as well so he can keep up with Franz. I haven't used Kyle much, so I don't know what I would make him.
