It technically is my fault for buying the game when I knew it was a JRPG but the story seems really interesting and I'm wanting to enjoy it. For the love of god, if you want a good story, go read a book. While Trails' story is its main selling point, I wouldn't disregard its combat system. Admittedly, it's a tad bit slow in FC (this is remedied in future games), but like TE said, if you're playing on normal, it's really, really easy.
