Basically, I take the midi, and replace each layer of midi instruments with virtual ones. It isn't as easy as it sounds, because Edirol's VST is somewhat buggy. :E (Each layer may have different instruments on them, which the software doesn't like, so I have to cut those layers to separate the instruments.)
