I actually don't know what the normal range for desktop computers are. But my financial aid's giving me $2000+ (though after getting textbooks it might go down to $1900) but I don't wanna go spending all of it D= Anyway... my room also doesn't even have room for a computer and I don't have a table/desk or anything for a lappy either so that'd be more I'd have to buy... The difference between it and mine is literally just 0.1 Ghz, 2GB of RAM and it has Windows 8 instead of 7.
