Also, an informative tidbit: Daddy long legs are not really spiders, but they are arachnids. Like scorpions and this nice little fellow, a whip-spider (an Amblypygi). Daddy long legs are pretty much harmless, they don't have a strong venom or even fangs strong enough to bite a human. All they do is sit around in groups in cavern walls or tree bark and smell a little weird.Fun fact, they also invented the penis. Some of the arguably older fossil records point to the order Opiliones as the first to exhibit a structure to inseminate the female. I think they should be the forum patron saints of cock or something. And now you know. And knowing is half your tortured sleep from now on.
