Ether
Just jumping in, Fighting in itself is a decent defensive type. Weak to Psychic and Flying, which are generally uncommon, resists Bug, Rock, and Dark, which are all more threatening overall, since U-Turn, Pursuit, STEALTH ROCK, etc. It's just that fighters are generally based around offense, making their defenses subpar. Things like Machamp are pretty bulky, though.

Rewjeo
As... interesting... as they are, I'm pleased. B&W are set in a completely new area with many new ideas, so seeing a change in the pokemon is a good thing, IMO. I personally am not upset with really any. Besides the godawful final Pokabu evolution.
Ether
A defensive Fighting type? What is this I don't even 'Twas directed at this. Fighting is inherently a pretty good defensive typing on it's own.

Strawman
I'm disappointed in the stats of the Final Evo of the Grass Starter and the type of the Fire Starter. Some of the Pokemon look really awesome, but others just look too cartoony. It is meh. And the stats are interesting this time around also. Momo
I really think they felt the need to pad out the dex, just so they could have 649 pokemon. Rankurusu did not need to be three stages, and neither did Gear.
Kriemhild
'Twas directed at this. Fighting is inherently a pretty good defensive typing on it's own. Yeah, but the nature of a Fighting type doesn't seem to fit a defensive role. Just the name "Fighting" is enough to suggest an offensive-based Pokemon. Rankurusu did not need to be three stages, and neither did Gear. Didn't they say that there will, for the most part, be pretty much only 5th gen pokemon in B&W, since these games are supposed to take place so far away from the others? This is about the size of the original set of pokemon.

This is about the size of the original set of pokemon. I mean so the total number of pokemon in existence is 649, which is one away from 650. They wanted to get to that memorable number, so they had to stretch out evolution lines.
bunny: spider bitten
First Gym Leader(s) is confirmed to be a group of stalkers dependent on which stalker you pick, IE, they want to beat you. This is, of course, irrelevant, as you can get (only) the monkey that is (strong?) weak to your type. Counter balance! But it's cool non-the less.
