That's not what it says in the OP, it says that 'the goal of the assassin is to kill the king'. In addition, it was never actually mentioned what effect lynching the king would have. I assumed that a kinglynch would just have the effect of 'the king fakes his death and goes into hiding' initially, until I actually saw that Role PMs were revealed upon death. He can also kill the king by inciting revolt amongst his loyal subjects to overthrow the king themselves. This is a much more potent approach, and dangerously effective when executed correctly, as seen in this game. To put it shortly, SlayerX was controlling all of you from the start.
