SDS brought up an interesting strategy in the tier list, training then early-promoting Sain in Lyn Mode to get a second Marcus. I thought it was interesting, so I'm trying it out and seeing if it really does make that big of a difference.

Oh, and I'm using Xeld's average stats patch too.

Also, level 5 Lyn coming out of LHM is lulzy.

Prologue

Turns: 4

Could get this faster if I got a 1% critical on Batta, but that's not really viable, heh.

Chapter 1

Turns: 4

Standard stuff, Sain eats the boss for more EXP. I may be able to do this faster if I send Lyn over to kill the boss with Kent / Sain rescue / dropping, but Kent can't 2HKO the Brigands so I'd expect it will take the same time.

Chapter 2

Turns: 4

Sain kills Glass again, derp. I gave Kent more EXP instead of grabbing the Iron Sword from Lyn.

Chapter 3

Turns: 4

Sain gets the bosskill again here, but average stats is annoying because Sain can't double the Brigands (he needs 2 speed procs to do it on random mode =P)

Chapter 4

Turns: 8

Sain solos the south side and kills the boss. Defense chapter, not much else to say.

Chapter 5

Turns: 4 (can be reduced to 3)

Again, Sain grabs the bosskill with Florina ferrying him over. The shop here sells Javelins, and I buy three of them. I could have done this faster if I sent Lyn, since Sain doesn't double the boss, which is annoying. He will need the EXP though.

Chapter 6

Turns: 4

I'm not sure whether I should have given Sain the bosskill here instead of Kent, but he reached enough EXP to get to level 14 in Chapter 10 anyways. I could have given Lyn the kill last chapter and give Sain the kill here, but I'm too lazy to restart, lol.

Chapter 7

Turns: 2

Not much to say here, I give Sain the bosskill again.

Chapter 7x

Turns: 4

Sain kills the boss for more EXP, everyone else rushes around trying to mooch kills. I didn't need to grab the Hammer since no-one can use it (besides Dorcas, but he only hit once so far anyway =/)

Chapter 8

Turns: 4

I drop Kent over by the two forts to deal with the reinforcements, and send Sain over to smash the majority of the enemies. I shouldn't have attacked the Brigand with Rath and lured him in to give Lyn a kill, but it worked out in the end.

Chapter 9

Turns: 4

It's a bit iffy trying to kill Eagler with Sain, but he reached C Swords just before the chapter allowing me to use Lancereaver to get a good chance of hitting him (14 damage, 89% displayed). Sain has the best accuracy on Eagler with an Iron Sword against the Javelin (~60% disp.), as opposed to the Iron Lance vs. the Hand Axe (~48% displayed), or god forbid the Lancereaver against the Hand Axe (24% displayed).

Wallace is useless without a promotion, lol.

Chapter 10

Turns: 6 (can be lowered to 5, maybe 4 turns if I skip the Energy Ring)

Sain gets the job done much faster than Wallace because he can move further. I think Sain could have stayed unpromoted and killed Lundgren with the Lancereaver before promoting, but he gains a level either way and the EXP difference is marginal.

I had to draw this one out because I wanted to grab the Energy Ring. If I didn't aim for it, I could finish in 5 turns, maybe 4.

Chapter 11

Turns: 6

I can't believe I dodged two 69% hits against Hector (fatal ones too) from Wire, lol. Anyway, I'd need to get a crit on one of the guys here with Hector to finish this faster, but it's like 2% so I don't want to reset that much =P

Chapter 12

Turns: 4

I have to make sure the Pegasus Knights don't run away without attacking stuff, as that will make me take an extra turn. I kill most of them as soon as possible, and thankfully the last one decided to target Serra instead of running. Marcus ORKOs the boss with Silver Lance.

Chapter 13

Turns: 6

I made 8 turns rushing the other way, but this way is much quicker, but I lose out on the Mine and some EXP. I buy 5 Javelins and 4 Hand Axes, because Merlinus isn't here yet =(

Chapter 18 isn't up atm, will be up in a while.

Chapter 13x

Turns: 8

This is a pretty hairy defense chapter, so I send Guy over to the left side and leave Matthew to solo the southeast corner, since the Brigands have ~20-30% displayed hit on him and 3HKO him. Marcus not doubling is ultra-annoying, as ORKOing the Nomads and Myrms would have helped a lot.

Hector and Eliwood get a C for +1 Def and +5 Avo, which helps quite a bit.

Chapter 14

Turns: 7

Annoying rout chapter. I clear out Erik ASAP to stop the reinforcements from spawning, and clear out all the stuff with my units. Regrettably, the two Brigands at the end couldn't reach Guy because of the rain, otherwise he would have scored the ORKO on both of them with his Killing Edge.

Chapter 15

Deployed: Hector, Eliwood, Marcus, Oswin, Guy, Serra, Priscilla, Matthew

Turns: 8

Pretty easy defend chapter. The positions on turn 1 enemy phase were a bit fiddly, but the other parts were a cinch. Marcus cleanly ORKOs Sealen with an Iron Axe as he is weighed down by his Longbow, and killing Sealen stops the reinforcements.

Turns: 9 (derp, thanks IOS)

Sain helped out quite a bit in this map, ferrying Hector around and bashing stuff around with Marcus. Sain's accuracy still sucks compared to Marcus' though, and the low hit of Javelins doesn't help. Anyway, I manage to give Hector the bosskill here, so it wasn't a total loss D=

Chapter 17x

Turns: 4

Deployed: Hector, Oswin, Priscilla, Sain, Raven, Florina

Florina runs around to talk to Fargus, while Oswin, Sain and Hector try to get some EXP. I skipped the two villages, but they only have a Lancereaver and a Sleep staff, which aren't really vital.

Chapter 18

Turns: 4

Deployed: Hector, Marcus, Sain, Kent, Lowen, Priscilla, Matthew, Raven

Pirate Ship was noticeably easier with an extra Paladin taking out stuff. Marcus rushes to Zoldam, and Matthew steals both the Elysian Whip and the Guiding Ring. I could have made it a turn faster if Marcus just rushed Zoldam at full move, but that would mean that Kent had to dodge one of the Pegasi to survive, which do have around 60-70% displayed. Marcus taking out that Pegasus on Turn 2 really lessened the pressure on my guys.

Also, I buy like 10 Door Keys here for later chapters (mostly Final, and maybe PFoD?), because I know I will forget to buy them later on XD

Marcus also hits S Lances here. I don't think Marcus should S Axes, because he does get weighed down by every Axe bar Iron, and I think I'll be using Javelins more for better AS.

Not that it matters much, but Killer Axes only weigh 11, and he has 11 con.

Also hand axes have 10 better hit against axes and lances. And 2 more mt. Not sure how much he can double with them, though. 1 AS loss makes a big difference on a guy that is borderline much of the time as it is.

Urgh, I hate this chapter. The Nomads are so dodgy, Sain only has ~50% disp on them on a forest. And of course, Uhai has to dodge near everything, only Marcus with his retardedly high Skill could get a decent hit rate on him. Raven took the opportunity to grab more EXP through the Pirate reinforcements, and Oswin took care of the Pegasi on the top right corner.

Marcus and Sain charge up and clear out most of the mages, while Raven and Florina try to grab some EXP from the other enemies. Matthew yoinks the Silver Card and Hector Seizes. The critical on Aion was certainly unexpected, I thought I had to rely on Sain to hit and hopefully kill Aion.

Chapter 20

Turns: 7 (could be done in 6 =/)

Deployed: Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, Sain, Kent, Lowen, Florina, Fiora, Raven, Priscilla, Matthew, Marcus

I gave Sain a Secret Book before the battle so that he could hit more stuff. I already have the Silver Card, so Funds aren't a big issue for me. Anyway, Sain really helped out this chapter, as he could double a few Nomads that Marcus couldn't, allowing him to clear out more enemies by the throne. Marcus took on the Shamans with his beastly 10 Res, while Sain rushed left to help Matthew out with the Chests.

I could have done this in 6 turns, if I didn't screw up Lyn's positioning. I had to use Hector to recruit Legault, costing me a turn, since Lyn was 1 square away from recruiting him. I didn't shoot for the Secret Shop, obviously, since both are too out of the way.

Chapter 21

Deployed: Hector, Marcus, Sain, Florina, Kent, Legault, Priscilla

Turns: 3

I rush towards the boss with Sain and Marcus, Eliwood goes shopping while Kent and Florina visit villages. I could have got Kent more EXP if the Monk hadn't crit him, though it doesn't really matter. Sain lures out Oleg, and Legault steals the Hero Crest from him with the help of Ninian.

I buy a couple of Pure Waters, since I might need them in Kinship's Bond, and definitely in Genesis, assuming I'm going there.

Chapter 22

Deployed: Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, Marcus, Sain, Kent, Florina, Legault, Priscilla, Ninian, Raven

Turns: 7

It is a royal bitch to kill Eubans instead of defend, since you can't get WTA over everything and because everything has Reavers they come to bite you back with effective damage. Marcus was pretty great dealing with the Mage swarms, but Sain really pulled his weight here. He was a great help dealing with the Knights down below, and helped take out Eubans as well.

I buy two Chest Keys, a Barrier and a Physic. I still have a crapload of stuff I can sell, so I needn't worry that much.

Turns: 9

None of my fliers are strong enough to fly around and take out stuff, so I use Heath, since he has the best AS (yeah, 4/5 Con sucks). If Heath could double that Shaman on Turn 8 Enemy Phase, I would have cleared it a turn faster, but I had to drag it out a little longer to clear it, since FoW Rout sucks =/

Anyway, I got enough EXP for Genesis =).

Chapter 23x

Deployed: Hector, Hawkeye, Marcus, Raven, Priscilla, Kent, Florina, Ninian

Turns: 11

Ugh... this chapter. Took me like twice the number of resets compared to Kinship's Bond, because I need to dodge 4 50% status staffs. I played rather conservatively during the last parts, I didn't move Kent up even though I would have completed it faster. I should have tossed a Swordreaver to Hawkeye, and an extra Door Key, but I'm just glad to have this chapter down.

I don't think I'm going to make PFoD Kenneth, because the fighters have about a 1000 EXP lead on the Mages, mainly because I've been using Raven too much =3

Turns: 2

Meh, not much to say here, Marcus lures in Linus and everyone beats on him.

Chapter 25:

Deployed: Hector, Sain, Kent, Marcus, Florina, Fiora, Heath, Erk, Serra, Priscilla, Ninian

Turns: 6

Crazed Beast has a load of EXP, but Heath can't solo the right side on his own, so Florina takes on the majority of the Monks while Heath redirects the Purge and takes on the Pirates at the bottom. FE7 enemies are hilarious, the Pirates have 35-37% displayed hit on level 2 Erk, and lose 5 AS from Steel Axes.

I could have done this a little faster, but it would mean putting Florina or Heath at risk (she / he has to rush up and kill the Bishop, and I don't have any Killer Lances, so no ORKO), and I would have to grab a critical on the Warrior as well with Kent.

Also, Farina doesn't get any love from efficiency playthroughs, lol. I have like 30k in liquid cash sitting around right now, and I guess I could recruit her if I felt like it. EXP is pretty tight here though, I don't think I would have enough to go around.

I got pretty worried about PFoD here, as I still need to gain 400+ EXP in 1 chapter to get Kenneth's chapter. I don't expect it to be that hard, since Unfufilled Heart is pretty tame, and there are plenty of opportunities to feed kills. ~1/3 of the EXP would come from the staffbots too.

Chapters 27-29 are finally uploaded (stupid youtube messing up my vids...), Chapters 30 and 31 will be uploaded too in a few moments.

EDIT: I finished my PT, the vids will be up soon! =)

I don't think I will go 31x, but I'm kind of running low on Killer Weapons, so it may be an option =P Of course, I have a buttload of Silvers and there are only 3 more chapters, so I could care less.

Chapter 27 (Kenneth)

Deployed: Hector, Marcus, Sain, Serra, Florina, Heath, Priscilla, Hawkeye, Kent, Raven, Legault, Ninian

Turns: 10

I promoted Florina, who is a great help here, ferrying stuff with 4 Move in the Snow. I don't know about promoting Heath though, but he didn't get a level this chapter >_>

I could rush to the throne faster, but I have to wait for Harken, who arrives on Turn 10, and I can't gib the enemies down below either because I can't kill too many promoted enemies or else Karel will appear. I had a few close calls with Purge, Kenneth's Purge is especially damaging, and it didn't help that Raven couldn't crit him (should have used Kent to finish off the SM and use Sain to finish Kenneth).

I sort of messed up the positioning of Marcus at the end since I only had a general idea of where Harken would appear, but I managed to make it work out, heh. =) Used the Speedwing on Hawkeye too.

Aaaand... now we have Battle Before Dawn. >_>

Chapter 28

Deployed: Hector, Pent, Harken, Sain, Kent, Marcus, Ninian, Priscilla, Florina, Legault

Turns: 15 or 16 (I don't think Enemy Phase counted that last turn, could be wrong)

I promoted Priscilla before this chapter for more Move. Killing Ursula early stops the reinforcements, so the last few turns are pretty easy. Zephiel and Jaffar decided not to die this time, so I had this done on the 3rd try.

Chapter 28x

Turns: 13

Deployed: Hector, Nino, Hawkeye, Sain, Marcus, Kent, Florina, Heath, Ninian, Pent, Priscilla

I gave the Boots to Ninian, and promoted Heath.

Annoying paths are annoying. I spent like 5 turns waiting for the bridge, and I couldn't go down safely because of Sonia's Bolting. I had a few close calls, but I managed to get through pretty easily otherwise. Also, Hawkeye is a beast in this chapter. He took out like half the map my himself, which is an amazing feat.

Chapter 29

Deployed: Hector, Hawkeye, Marcus, Raven, Harken, Pent, Sain, Ninian, Florina, Priscilla

Turns: 14

I used an Angelic Robe and Tailsman on Priscilla.

I took only a few resets to get this map down, and I can't be bothered to try for a lower turncount =P. Anyway, Harken was the MVP for this chapter, shrugging off hits with impunity and ORKOing everything in sight. Only Raven can double the Valkyries and I had to resort to using the Brave Lance or the Brave Sword to ORKO them.

I messed up the positions at the end, I should have left Hawkeye there or sent Vaida to kill them with her Spear, but a win's a win when it's freaking Cog of Destiny =)

The vid is lower quality because I did it on stream, so I hope you all don't mind.

Chapter 30

Deployed: Hector, Pent

Turns: 7

Pretty self-explanatory, Hector rushes forward and Pent uses Warp and supports him from behind with Physic. I didn't expect Hector to crit Kaim twice though, although he would be down the next turn if both hits connected on Player and Enemy phase (Pent could Physic Hector on player phase).

Chapter 31

Deployed: Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, Lucius, Priscilla, Heath, Vaida, Raven, Florina, Legault

Deployed at the bottom section: Harken, Marcus, Hawkeye, Pent

Turns: 12

I gave Lucius a Guiding Ring, and Sain a Dragonshield.

This chapter is pretty daunting at the start, with about 50 enemies rushing towards you and status flying everywhere. Thankfully, I manage to lure and take down Denning relatively easily, thus stopping all the reinforcements and making the chapter much easier, like Battle Before Dawn. Legault grabbed all the treasures here.

Harken is once again MVP, soloing most of the bottom part together with Hawkeye. The Nosferatu Druids were very scary, with ridiculous damage output (~25-30 damage, at roughly 50% chance), but they are much more manageable after Denning is off the field.

Chapter 32

Deployed: Hector, Priscilla, Pent, Vaida, Florina, Heath, Harken, Raven, Jaffar, Louise, Sain, Kent, Marcus, Nils, Hawkeye

Turns: 7

Urgh, could have made it 6 if it weren't for that annoying Sage that blocked the way, so Hector couldn't Seize on that turn. Broke my Rescue Staff too, but that isn't vital anyway. Just spamming Warp here, since I don't really need that much of it for Final and 32x.

Chapter 32x

Turns: 1

Okay, anti-climatic, I know. Pent Warps Jaffar in and he procs a Silencer to off Kishuna.

Final Chapter

Turns: 6 + 1

Not much to say here, but I made a silly mistake with the Berserk Staff here, Berserking Linus instead of Lloyd. However, I was still able to take them down, and it might not have cost a turn, because Athos needed to land a crit on Nergal to end him.

Next part is pretty standard, I guess.

Jaffar 16.43 36 20 26 25 11 16 12 8 5

Some mistakes I made during this PT:

- Giving the Energy Ring to Florina instead of Kent, because I rarely used Florina for combat, Kent saw far more use as he doubles and has better durability

- Tossing the Body Ring to Raven instead of giving it to Athos - derp, lol

- Sending a mount over to grab a Soldier out of the way so that Raven could recruit Lucius on Turn 8 of Chapter 17, I wouldn't have to delay the Seize

- Not leaving Hawkeye or Vaida behind to deal with the Wyverns in CoD, cost me quite a lot of turns

- Promoting Raven before Genesis - I got overly paranoid about EXP needed for PFoD Kenneth and I promoted Raven to gimp his EXP gain. If I had promoted Raven in the middle of the chapter, he would have gained like 5 levels as each kill was worth 70-80 EXP. I still ended up with a 400 EXP surplus.

- Not buying enough Killers in Chapter 26, I had barely enough to go around, I would have bought a few more Axes and Lances and skipped the Bows (Louise isn't great by any means)

- I don't know whether I should have promoted Sain before beating on Lundgren, as Sain could deal with him really easily using the Lancereaver either way, and I would have got more EXP out of it.

- Dropping Hector on the left side of Florina in Chapter 32, Pent couldn't Warp Hector far enough to reach the throne, all he needed was 1 space more which made me sad =(

Pretty nice for a haphazard playthrough, but I'm sure you could cut down on the turns a lot had you bothered to do more planning.

Yeah, I kinda screwed up towards the end, especially in 28x (Night of Farewells) and 29 (Cog of Destiny). I really want to see what you'll do for your 0% growths playthrough, though =P

Earlygame is much of the same, but I came up with some pretty cool strategies starting in chapter 22. These videos won't be up for awhile, though, so I'll comment on some disparities that I noticed on a cursory glance at some of your chapter strategies.

Chapter 22: You kind of went about charging Eubans the wrong way. The first thing I noticed was that you initially went south; this led to corridors getting clogged and impeding your progress. What I did was to have Marcus and Isadora charge Eubans at the same time while going through that door on the RHS. Isadora ORKO'd WKs with a Silver Sword while standing in the doorway on turn 1; the end result was that I only ever had to KO 1 WK on turn 2 player phase in order to clear my path to Eubans. The NPC knights were excellent distractions.

Chapter 23: Use 2 fliers on this map, not one. You should have deployed Florina or Fiora instead or Marcus, Raven, or Sain. The fliers are pretty mediocre at combat at this point in the game.

Chapter 23x: The difference here, in a nutshell, was Isadora and Rath. Also, I'm not sure if you were aware of this, but if you attack Kishuna and force him to leave the map, his cohort of powerful promoted enemies also leaves with him. You might as well do this in the turn before he leaves on his own.

Chapter 25: You can 3 turn this easily if you skip Farina (which you did). Also, a promoted flier has enough move to KO the bishop from 1 range on turn 2. Since you took 6 turns, you probably should have recruited Farina.

Chapter 28x: I know you only have 3 fliers, but I'm not sure why you didn't abuse all of them as much as possible. I essentially completely ignored the walkways on this map.

Chapter 29: You seem to have concentrated your entire army when moving across the map. I split my units into 2 groups. Granted, I had to get lucky with dodging a couple of 50ish hit Silence staves. This map is brutal for 0% growths, though.
