CorruptDruid Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 On the editor I'm trying to give certain weapons a ranged animation to use,but the correct settings to achieve that are unclear to me. Could somebody post the correct settings for the module I'm supposed to have? Since I don't want to explore and screw it up beyond repair.

Item editor (duh) AND Item Animation Manager. The modules can be downloaded here. If you dont know how to use them yourself, i can help you if you need it. It seems I was missing the module I needed since I've done this before and the module I used seemed a bit different. On a side not do you know how to give an ax ranged animation since all that seems to occur is the battle initiating and continuing with no end. I'm sure there's more to it regarding axes, but I'm not sure on the next course of action.

AstraLunaSol Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I know for a fact that ranged axes are hardcoded in FE7, but not FE8, this may be your problem. The only ranged axes the game has are Hand Axes and Tomahawks, you'll have to stick with those. Oh, in FE8 you have Hatchet too, but blah.
CT075 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Ranged axes work like a spell. When the animation "throws" the axe, the game calls the "hand axe" spell, which gets that boomerang-like thingy. So go back into that Spell Association editor and see if you can figure anything out.
