(btw, that female villager with (almost) the same look in FE7 looks better :3) Also, I liek first and second version of Minerva with Axe, third and fourth are kinda... meh. I'm going to guess that you've gotten permission from BwdYeti to use that shield? You might consider moving the head to the right a pixel. I feel like it seems a bit off-center right now. (I could be wrong) I would have thought wendy would carry it like a merc or a general , with one sharp side resting directly against his shoulder. And you've done your research =). Your character's gender should be distinguishable, bud. You can try to bring up Lucius or Echidna as examples, but even they have easily distinguishable male/female parts to their anatomy.
