I had that happen to me when I was going to go donate blood. I walked off after they missed the third time. Haven't gone since. Fortunately, the nurse at the hospital that I went to was very nice and patient. She spent about 10 mins searching my arm for the easiest vein to puncture and got it on the first try (sadly it ended up being my wrist, which was a bit scarier for me).
