It doesn't have to be on Lakche to get Johalva. He'll angle for a place Lakche can readily be before the Skillage is destroyed.

Plus, Celice or Fee/Femina can go drive-by save the Skillage while other people are doing other things.

If you intent to get Johalva, the leg ring must be on Lakche

He hides behind his goons & his team moves so little that by the time Lakche gets to him, the village with the skill ring will be destroyed

No, it won't. That's absurd. Regardless of Lakche's movement, it's easy for her to get into the range of his goons within a turn or two of seizing the castle so she can cut a path through them and recruit him.

Johan costs turns to get since Celice has to juke him without killing him, which is harder than it sounds. Johalva does not.

Never used Johalva, but I *think* Johan will benefit you more in the long run.

It is based on which castle you seized. Getting Johalva is easier in getting Resire, though, since with Johan you'll have to wait until his castle is re-seized by the other Dozel army, and THEN seize it back.

So you could receive both tomes by letting one of them getting captured, then taking it back? Or does it depend only on the first one you seize. After which you cannot receive the other tome.

Once you've triggered one conversation, you cannot trigger the other, leaving no possible way to get both tomes.

Or, in other words, let's compare three teams, and distribute 100 kills among them. Let's say 5 kills is a level on average, except for Seth, who would need 25.

Team A has Seth, Arthur, Lute and Vanessa, and each is given equal amount of kills, so 25.

Team B has Seth, Arthur, Lute and Vanessa, and Seth is only getting 4 kills, while the other 21 are given away to others, giving each of those 25+7=32 kills.

Team C has Franz, Arthur, Lute and Vanessa, and each is given equal amount of kills, so 25.

Team A: L2 Seth, L7 Arthur, L6 Lute, L6 Vanessa.

Team B: L1 Seth, L8 Arthur, L7 Lute, L7 Vanessa

Team C: L6 Franz, L7 Arthur, L6 Lute, L6 Vanessa

Clearly Team A and B are both much stronger than team C, and both A and B have Seth. The non-Seth units on team A are equal to the non-Franz units on team C, and the non-Seth units on team B are clearly beating those of team C.

Team D: L4 Seth, L1 Artur, L2 Lute, L2 Vanessa

Where Seth in practice gets 75% of the kills.

Not that I disagree with the basic premise (or the argument), but come on. This is flawed reasoning based entirely on theory, and if someone is actually using Seth, this is the more likely scenario.

Unless you are doing a Seth/Jeigan solo or a draft, this is not going to happen.

Besides, look at the utility that Jeigans have.

Instant use when they appear, and great utility afterwards.

They will also Be among your best units for the majority of the game.

Not to count that the other units won't be able to defend/do anything by themselves, because Seth is getting all the EXP from them. Their team is still stronger? Yes, but the other units won't be able to do much later.

By the time he gets -near- the castle, it'll be seized already. Holding the position next to the mountain is also a good idea, because you can block their path with a single unit and heal the injured ones.

The point is more that Seth is no more a "drain" on other characters than training an additional unpromoted units is. The team that trains Franz and the team that uses Seth ends up with the other characters the same, the only difference is that Seth's team has the infinitely powerful Seth and that Franz' team has the notably less powerful Franz.

And really, it's true. Seth doesn't "hog" exp, any more than any other combat character does because in any case, giving kills to one unit precludes giving them to another unit. And indeed, even if Seth took enough kills that could be used to train two other characters, he would still be more potent than both of them put together.

I've done a Sethsolo without any fliers or warpers.

With the number of good prepromtes, 10/1 Gerik, and fliers, it'd be even easier. The other units bar taxi!Nessa won't be able to do much later, yes, but they're easily replaceable.

Of course if you want to use the other units lists that's a different scenario. But it's not like Seth even needs them to perform well or even beat the game.
