Either way, deploying only one unit and hoping that said unit or the NPC ally you get doesn't die due to being vastly outnumbered just reeks of stupidity. The trick is cap your stats(or get close because lol Awakening grinding) demote whoever you're deploying, then promote them instantly so the enemies are all stuck with unpromoted caps, which I doubt you'll lose to even on Lunatic. and I swear I remember them having stuff like Steel weps, and I did the chapter without the trick and on Lunatic so their forges really don't make a difference to anyone with Nosferatu.
