Chapter 13 - 5/15

Guy, Matthew, and Marcus didn't exactly want to cooperate with me. I had at least two runs where Matthew got strength, but I had to restart due to someone dying. Bartre and Eliwood got Merlinus' village for me. Marcus carried Hector and ran for the boss. Matthew recruited Guy. (Funny story, I had one run where Marcus got hit by a critical hit from Guy, leaving him with 1 HP, then died to a bandit's hand axe.)

Chapter 13x - 7/22

Standard defend chapter. Oswin meatshielded a lone myrmidon that I ended up not being able to kill. Having Bartre around changed my strategy a little, and actually allowed Marcus to fight while Bartre got the 5000 gold village for me.

Chapter 14 - 4/26

Ugh, I wanted to shop for weapons, but Guy fell one space short. Guess I'll have to wait until chapter 16. Anyway, Marcus did stuff. Everyone cleaned up. Hector and Eliwood troll me by getting only HP on their level-ups. Deployed Serra for Erk, so I can get Priscilla, so I can get Raven, so I can get Lucius.

Chapter 15 - 7/33

Defend chapter again. I think I did pretty well. Guy got strength and Eliwood got an almost perfect level-up (missing speed). Bartre is very ... ehh. And Hector won't get speed.

Chapter 16 - 5/38

Marcus and Hector are such trolls. I had to restart the chapter several times due to them not doing stuff they were supposed to. Oh well, it's over now. I got the 5-turn clear, and Bartre got a good level-up.

Chapter 17 - 8/46

Marcus made this turn count possible. Yay Marcus! Also recruited Lucius and Raven. Also, today I learned that in HNM Raven will attack Priscilla if she is in range. Now, goodbye Marcus!

It took a LOT of luck and a lot of restarts, but I finally managed to finish this with everyone intact. I only missed the lancereaver village, which is a fair trade-off. Lots of good level-ups around. Matthew makes good bait, and Hector got lucky speed. Canas was very useful.

Forced fifteen turns for this chapter. Recruited Nino and had her talk to Jaffar for sidequest. Also, Eliwood/Ninian and Lyn/Rath are both at B support. Let's see how many more supports I can actually grab! Raven promoted at last.

Chapter 28x - 148

Lots and lots of self-improvement here. Eliwood and Ninian hit their A support. Rath killed Sonia with his Lyn support, while ferrying around Hector for about the second half of the map. Guy has strength issues, and it's annoying me greatly. Matthew, Karel, and Hector took turns ferrying Nino and Jaffar to keep them out of combat. Lucius hit A staves. Canas is halfway to B-staves. I will still try to get him to A-staves. I'm running low on supplies. Help!

Chapter 29 - 10/158

Eliwood promoted at level 18 because I was running low on supplies (so he could use lances) and so he could become useful. Triggered the armor knight reinforcements and avoided the others. Rath got the Warp staff and took care of shopping for me all on his own. I almost 9-turned this map, but I forgot about one lone sniper I neglected to dispatch, and decided not to restart for it.

Chapter 30 - 4/162

Deployed Lucius and Rath alongside Hector. Rath rescues Hector and Lucius warps them as far as he could. Giving Rath the Light Sword allowed him to clear enemies in his path and progress unhindered. Lucius killed thieves and armors near the starting point. On turn 3, Rath stands one square away from Kaim and equips a silver bow, dropping Hector so he could double. On EP 3, Kaim attacks and gets hit. Rath finishes him off on turn 4 and Hector waits on the spot.

Chapter 31 - 11/173

Both forced defend chapters. Deployed Priscilla and Florina on chapter 31 to get some armor knights out of my way. Got Lyn/Rath A support, Guy/Rath C support, and Karel/Guy C support. Finished Denning off early. On 31x, recruited Karla with Bartre. Shopped for items. Used arena to try to build up Canas' staff rank. Raven and Lucius got their C support in 31x as well.

Chapter 32 - 9/187

Close call, but Hector survived. Ideally, I could've done this faster, but enemies kept on getting in my way. Either way, I just want to get this over with, so I'm taking the 9-turn of this chapter.

Chapter 32x - 1/188

Deployed Lucius, Nils, Guy, and Rath. Lucius warped Rath into Kishuna's room. Rath crit him once, but was unable to hit the first blow. Lucius warped Guy into the room after Nils refreshed, and Guy finished off Kishuna.

Final - 6+1/195

Gave most people door keys so I could move this chapter along faster. Rath, Canas, Lucius, and Bartre were important in clearing out key rooms. Rath took care of Uhai's room. Canas soloed Jerme and Ursula. Lucius and Canas chipped at Darin's room, and Rath and Bartre helped take out the Reed brothers. Eliwood and Hector took care of Kenneth's room while Guy, Raven, and Karel took care of Brendan's room. Canas killed Nergal on turn 6 with a Luna crit.

Dragon was 1-turned thanks to Athos getting a lucky Luna crit.

Final stats and write-up will come after I wake up.

Here is my final write-up, as promised.

Overall, my team was weird. Really, really weird. First-picking Rath does weird stuff to your team! But I'm happy with how the team turned out. The only thing I'm NOT happy about was missing a flier, which cost me precious turns in chapter 25, chapter 27, and chapter 29, but other then that I'm happy.

Hector: Uh ... look at that speed. Yeah, he didn't do as much in this draft. He was rather speed-screwed the entire time through. After he promoted, he spent a lot of time in Rath's saddlebags. At least he helped weaken wyverns in chapter 26 for others to kill.

Eliwood: He was a strange Eliwood. He was average the entire way through. He wasn't exceptionally blessed in strength or speed and he was borderline doubling. Helped out in chapter 29 and endgame, though, but didn't do as much as usual. The only person who was early promoted.

Lyn: Didn't even get to promote. She married Rath and helped a bit in earlygame, but not much else.

Ninian/Nils: Refresher. Got Isadora's Angelic Robe to help take hits. Useful. Ninis' Grace let Lucius tank Pascal and other enemies in chapter 25. Oh, Ninian married Eliwood.

Bartre: Surprised me. I thought he'd be deadweight after earlygame and get the last Hero Crest, but he promoted BEFORE GUY and tanked Lloyd and Linus in endgame. Great and invaluable.

Karel: Was able to get C Guy, at least, and didn't cost turns because the level gave me trouble anyway. He was able to clear the way for me and kill stuff dead with Killing Edge and Wo Dao, but I don't think he was particularly "integral".

Lucius: Absolutely worth any turns he may have cost. Capped magic and got Warp even though he was promoted a bit late, allowing me to 1-turn 32x and warp Rath ferrying Hector to places. What can I say? He may have been a little deadweight because he couldn't do a lot in the first few chapters he was deployed in because he has no defenses and terrible luck hurts his dodging, but he was worth it. Would draft again. MVP 1.

Rath: Now, for anyone who's not me, first-picking Rath is a weird move. But Rath always excels for me. If he cost any turns to train, he 100% paid them back in his contributions afterwards. Highest speed cap in the game (which he reached), can ferry Hector without a problem, and also capped strength let him 1HKO enemies as well. Light sword Rath carrying Hector in chapter 30 -- he was able to 1HKO armors and mages with it and move unhindered. Amazing boss-killer. Seriously. Perhaps I get lucky with all my Raths, but he is usually one of my key units. MVP 2.

Guy: His strength was average and nothing more before he promoted, then he trolled me in strength after promotion. But I drafted him for earlygame contribution anyway, and he did that well. Promoted with the second Hero Crest. Would draft again, even if he doesn't like to get strength most of the time.

Raven: I'll be honest here ... Raven was one unit I could have done without. Yes, he is amazing and his stats are great, but ... in a draft setting, if I can get ahold of Guy, Raven is not as helpful. He forces you to Jerme's route (and I already had Guy and Bartre). He can't do much in his joining map, so he won't gain any levels there. If you don't have Florina, then he won't be as good of a distraction as Guy for the pirates to charge at you because he has less speed and likely HP than a properly leveled Guy and won't double for anyone to kill enemies either. Don't get me wrong, Raven is great. But he was mostly clearing enemies and I hesitate to say if he did anything that no one else was able to.

Canas: He was contributing from the moment he joined. Got several lucky speed level-ups, but he was able to hit hard and survive hits better than Lucius (or Erk). Luna made him an excellent boss-killer as well for when Rath was unable to do it. Promoted first and became a much needed healer. I didn't get him to A staves, despite wanting to, but I forgive him anyway. Lucius was my Warper and Fortify spammer and Canas had great combat and healing when I needed it. MVP 3.

Karla: I think she may have done something. She had 33 experience. Came with Bartre, so I recruited.

Matthew: Was better than usual. He wasn't stuck at base strength! Bad news, Matthew's strength wasn't enough to earn him a role on my team after mid-game. At least he grabbed promotional items.

Renault: He used Fortify to heal the people who went to recruit him. (Everyone but Hector, Rath, and Canas.) Wasn't deployed, ever, after the map he came in.
