Same old RR, but with a few changes. We've decided to see if Vaida really should be banned, and if Jaffar is broken enough that he needs to be banned after a point.

Drafting:

1. This draft is for 5 players.

2. Athos, Jaffar, Merlinus, Ninian, and Hector are free for all to use.

3. Karel and Eliwood (replace Bartre/Karla) are drafted as a pair.

4. Priscilla and Erk (replace Wallace/Geitz) are drafted as a pair.

5. The game will be played Hector/Athos Normal Mode

Rules:

1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories, and dig up items in the desert.

2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to meatshielding, building Supports, opening Doors or Chests, talking to Fargus in Chapter 17x, or Seizing Castles in Chapter 25.

3. All Gaiden Chapters except 19xx, 23x and 28x are required to be visited. 23x and 28x may be visited at the player's discretion, and don't count towards the total turncount up to 20 turns taken per chapter.

4. Other units may do as they please without penalty.

5. Defend chapters count the last played Player Phase for turns if the timer is waited out.

Penalties:

1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter.

Exceptions:

1. Renault is free for Chapter 11.

2. Louise is free for Chapter 12.

3. Meatshielding is allowed for Chapter 13x.

4. Hawkeye, Isadora, Heath, and Rath are free for Chapter 16.

5. Undrafted Thieves may be used to obtain necessary Promotion items.

Chapter 11: 7/7

Chapter 12: 4/11

ALMOST 3-turned it due to a Drakeflame crit on the boss. If Athos had gained even one point of speed at any point, he could've ORKOed the last Peg Knight, but nooooo.

Chapter 13: 7/18

Not enough people to clear the snags in Jaffar's way for a 6 turn, sadly.

Chapter 13x: 7/25

Athos has gained one point of SPD in 8 levels and Karel has gained no STR in 4 levels. FML. If Athos keeps up this level of screwage, he is not going to be as helpful as he was last time. >_>

Ch.11 - 7/7

Go through the walls and open doors

Ch.12 - 4/11

Jaffar goes straight across the bottom of the map. Louise and Athos deal with the northern stuff and they get help from Vaida on the way.

Ch.13 - 5/16

Vaida rescues Jaffar and drops him near the castle, then rescues Athos and brings Athos close to seizing. Turn 5 has Vaida go to Merlinus' village, and Harken spends all 6 turns protecting the undrafteds.

Ch.13x - 7/23

Training the units.

Ch.14 - 5/28

Rush forward with Jaffar. Vaida goes to get Geitz.

Ch.15 - 7/35

More training.

Ch.16 - 5/40

Vaida ferries Jaffar to the throne, then brings Athos over.

Ch.17 - 9/49

Vaida, Athos, Jaffar and Harken run. Geitz gets Legault.

Ch.17x - 3/52

Could've two turned it, but Vaida had to dodge a lot of strong attacks.

Ch.18 - 4/56

Jaffar, Athos and Getiz go left. Vaida and Harken to right. Legault loads up on stuff at the armory.

Ch.19 - 6/62

Jaffar and Vaida go down. Legault, Canas and Harken go right. Athos does... stuff with Geitz.

Ch.19x - 6/68

Vaida ferries Athos to the throne, and she then chips at Aion. Canas does self improvement in the south.

Ch.20 - 6/74

Vaida ferries Athos to the throne, with Jaffar following close by.

Lucina your addition is faulty there. 16 + 7 is 23, and then 23 + 5 is 28. So your TC at the end of C20 is actually 74.

Chapter 14: 5/30

Jaffar charges, Karel kills the Soldiers, while Athos goes down so he can get the Pirates and Cavalier.

Chapter 15: 7/37

Defend.

Chapter 16: 5/42

Jaffar carried Athos over, using Ninian for a boost. Karel went south initially to kill the Mercs, Thief, and a PK, and then went back up to kill the PKs harassing Ninian. Then he crossed the mountain with Ninian's help to aggro the Cavaliers away from Athos, who'd been dropped. Also fed some kills to Rath and Heath.

Chapter 17: 8/50

2 mounts and Jaffar allowed me to shave an extra turn here by carrying both Athos and Ninian forward.

Chapter 17x: 2/52

Heath and Ninian dropped Hawkeye on the forest, and then everyone followed them. Then Hawkeye weakened a bunch of stuff on EP and the people behind cleared the way for Heath to be danced to talk to Fargus on Turn 2.

Chapter 18: 2/54

Heath and Ninian drop Jaffar by the boss on Turn 1, and then he kills him on Turn 2.

All my units except Heath are turning out screwed. Athos has 7 speed at level 14, Karel has 9 STR at level 13, and Rath's gotten 4 stat-ups in 3 levels. FML

Chapter 19: 3/57

Heath dropped Jaffar near Uhai on Turn 2 with Ninian's help, and then Jaffar ORKOed him.

Chapter 11- 7/7 turns

Renault tanked a path for Athos to get to boss and weaken with Fire before killing with Drakeflame; ah, the magic of the TRADE command.

Chapter 12- 4/11 turns

God help me, I hate this bloody chapter so damn much. Perfectly positioned Athos to take care of the enemies with help from Louise, and Renault helped him with healing. He got a lucky crit on boss which wasn't needed but helped so much. Karla soloed the south while Jaffar got money for Nino to buy Fire tomes (shame she isn't drafted) and for Karla to buy a few weapons.

Chapter 14- 4/28 turns

Jaffar and Karla head on ahead to take care of the brunt of the enemy forces, while Athos, Farina, and Renault take care of the pirates and the soldiers. Wallace is recruited, and he uh...gets an Iron Blade, I guess.

Chapter 20: 4/61

Rescued Athos and Jaffar and dropped them ahead. A better Athos or a better Rath would have let me 3-turn it, but eh whatever.

Chapter 21: 2/63

Nobody could ORKO Oleg even at 1 range, forget 2 range, because Rath was so shitty I haven't used him enough, meaning he couldn't wield the BRAVE BOW. In the end, the 2 turn required me to give up the Whip and Pure Waters, because Rath had to clear the way for Jaffar by killing two enemies with Ninian's help, so that Jaffar and Heath could finish him off, having been danced ahead on Turn 1.

Chapter 22: 3/66

I was looking at the map, I counted out the squares, and realized that because Jaffar had to attack at 1-range, he couldn't attack Eubans on Turn 3. I started the chapter, prepared to settle for a 4-turn, AND THEN WIL SPAWNED WITH ENOUGH BOW RANK TO USE THE BRAVE BOW. So I dropped him ahead with Heath instead, and after he weakened Eubans, Heath finished him off with a Killer Lance crit.

Vaida and Harken go right. Athos, Canas and Jaffar visit houses and buy stuff. Got both the Whip and the Hero Crest.

Ch.22 - 4/83

Promoted Vaida, Harken and Canas. Vaida flies down with Horseslayer and ORKOs boss. Didn't get Kent because forgot I had him.

Ch.23 - 7/90

Vaida too good. 2RKOs Paul :P

Ch.24 - 2/92

Vaida 2HKOs Lloyd, and she's pretty safe from the sniper after a Nini's Grace.

Ch.25 - 8/100

Vaida goes to the right castle and swings around to get the other one. Jaffar hits the bottom one.

Athos goes crazy with Luna.

Unit Summary:

Athos: Too bad he couldn't get to Warp. Otherwise he would've been amazing. He's kinda like vanilla Pent in that he 2HKOs pretty much everything for his entire life and it only got better with Luna.

Jaffar: Doesn't need to be banned halfway through the game. He's nowhere near as broken as Marcus due to no 1-2 range and foot move.

Ninian: dancer/10

Hector: Not as useful as Vanilla Athos in final, but pretty darn good with a Wolf Beil considering Uhai, Ursula and Darin are weak to it

Vaida: Closest thing we'll ever get to Haar. Once she promoted she could take down army after army and wouldn't need healing. I dunno if she's broken or not, but she's excellent.

Harken: Very nice earlygame unit who never really stops being good

Canas: Would've been so much better if he got warp. Otherwise he was just there

Geitz: lol didn't even get to a high enough level to promote

Kent: Not recruited

Legault: see geitz. Slightly more useful because he stole a hero crest

Bartre: See kent

So this log only goes to C22 but apparently my savefile is at like C28, so I'll just get the TCs in the middle in epilogue.

C28: 15/81

Defend. Torchspammed, promoted Rath and Hawkeye.

C28x: free/81

Got Erk to A staves, picked up the Speedwing, fed some EXP to Rath, Hawkeye, and Erk.

C29: 5/86

Mehhh too lazy to try for a 4-turn. Boots Heath dropped Jaffar to the left, picked up Warp, and then went up to kill Linus. Meanwhile Erk, Hawkeye, Karel, and Wil went straight north west and up to the Knights, and fought their way up to the Nomad Troopers and Paladin at the top. Rath waited at the bot to get the Cavs and Nomads who come down, and AThos stayed to recruit Lowen. And some undrafted chumps blockaded the Wyvern reinforcements.

C30: 4/90

Warp on Turn 1, drop Athos on Turn 3, Wait on Turn 4.

C31: 11/101

Got Erk and Athos some exp and then waited for 5 turns for it to end...

Warped people around to unlock doors and kill guys. Could have maybe done 3 turns but I thought Darin's door opened by itself on Turn 3, not Turn 4, and I was too lazy to go back and fix stuff, so yeah. I also gave Athos a Body Ring, a Speedwing, and an Angelic Robe in hopes that he could durvive a hit from the Fire Dragon and double him with Luna. Gave Heath a Talisman too.
