[FE8]PKL Ruleset Test Draft

Drafting:

1. This draft is for 4 players.

2. Eirika/Ephraim, Orson, Tethys, and Myrrh are free for all to use.

3. Seth, Franz and Vanessa are banned from all use.

4. The game will be played on Hard Mode.

Rules:

1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories and dig up items in the desert.

2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to meatshielding, building Supports, and opening Doors or Chests.

3. Map shopping is allowed.

4. Skirmishes/use of the Tower or Ruins is disallowed. Skirmishes that are blocking your path may be activated and immediately fled from.

5. Defend chapters count the last played Player Phase for turns if the timer is waited out.

6. Remaining 2 units after drafting will be banned.

Penalties:

1. Undrafted units have a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter.

2. Seth has a special 8 turn penalty per chapter.

Exceptions:

1. Amelia can be trained in the Tower of Valni to Level 10/1, Ewan can be trained in the Tower of Valni to Level 10/5 and Marissa can be trained in the Tower of Valni to Level 9.

Teams:

Cyron: Garcia, Colm, Neimi, Moulder, Duessel, Knoll

SB: Artur, Kyle, Joshua, Innes, Amelia, Dozla

Lucina: Lute, Gilliam, Saleh, Gerik, Cormag, L'Arachel

ZM: Tana, Ross, Forde, Natasha, Syrene, Ewan

So uh...what would you guys say about these teams? Balanced enough with Franz and Nessie banned?

Prologue - 2 turns (2)

BANISHED MEANS NOTHING.

Chapter 1 - 5 turns (7)

STILL MEANS NOTHING.

Chapter 2 - 5 turns (12)

Eirika/Ross duo up until C9 Eirika's route with Natasha healing? Fair enough.

Taking a break from the SFDTT2 to knock this out of the way. I'm halfway through FE6 anyway, so it's fine?

Chapter 3 - 9 turns (21)

Colm's AI is weird.

Eirika rushes while Ross trains.

Chapter 4 - 8 turns (29)

Eirika goes right then down, Ross stays back and hits level 10 like a champ.

Ross/Eirika is now my FE8 OTP.

Chapter 5 - 6 turns (35)

Ross is now a pirate, and Eirika 1RKO'ed Joshua, haha. What a chump.

Natasha gets some heals in.

Chapter 5x - 8 turns (43)

Yeah, still don't know how to 7 turn.

Forde saves a chest key.

Chapter 6 - 5 turns (48)

Eirika rushes while Ross trains and Natasha spams torch.

Chapter 7 - 5 turns (53)

Ross is so awesome, I love it. He ferries Eirika over the river, who then rushes to Murray with his help. Natasha stays back and survives against the fighter and the mage.

Chapter 8 - 13 turns (66)

I kinda suck doing this chapter, haha.

Everyone goes left so we can get the whip without getting a penalty.

Eirika's route is a go.

Chapter 9 - 13 turns (79)

I still suck LTCing this chapter.

Ross promotes into BROSERKER. Tana get.

Chapter 10 - 3 turns (82)

Tana ferries Eirika to Pablo while Ross, Forde, and Natasha gain EXP.

Chapter 11 - 11 turns (93)

This is why I don't do FE8 drafts. I suck at them. >_<

Tana and Forde gain a ton of EXP, as does Natasha with the torch staff. The former two will promote next chapter.

Lucina: Lute, Gilliam, Saleh, Gerik, Cormag, L'Arachel

Lute: Warpbot and early combat unit

Gilliam: Makes my earlygame not completely frail, and will really help in Ch.9. Predicting him to be the MVP until I grab Warp.

Saleh: Combat unit at base level, while also being able to repair warp.

Gerik: Combat unit with a horse. Dem bases.

Cormag: Costs turns, but will probably make them up because flier.

L'Arachel: Better than Rennac and Marisa 10/10

I think there needs to be one free unmounted unit for chapter 3, but aside from that, it's too soon to tell.

Chapter 2 - 5 turns (12)

NPCs are the best units. When they hit.

Chapter 3 - 9 turns (21)

NPC Colm was dropped to be bait, to stop Eirika from getting blocked off. Eirika ran up top and around. The Rapier has 7 uses left.
