Serene
I know she's good but I never babysit any unit, and since she comes terribly late for her level, she just is not useful for me
Rehab
I thought I was a master of babysitting and playing favorites, but Bartre got doubled by every no-name bandit he could find the first time he showed up in HHM. I dropped him, so I might drop Nino this time.

The Envoy of the Beginning
I don't use her that much because of how much I have to put into her.
Swordmaster
It's not that much if you're efficient and arena abuse.
Metal Rabbit
but your first oppurtunity to arena abuse her is that gaiden chapter where you have 5 turns to gather supplies.
Swordmaster
No, no, you misunderstand. Arena abuse the units you want to use beforehand so you don't have to waste exp on them. In other words, I have everyone I usually use maxed out by the time I get her (or mostly everyone). This strategy also gives her some cover for long-range attacks. Suzaku
I usually don't but if I'm feeling patient, then I will.

The Envoy of the Beginning
Your cartridge? You can arena abuse officially. I always did it. But it's more daunting to do it on a cart because of the fact that you can't use savestates on a cart.

That's why you have to have patience, faith in your luck and cheapness. I plan out the arena matches for the appropriate units.

That would just take the fun away of leveling up during the game, I think. It's easy to level up Nino and get her into a Sage by the end of Night of Farewells, using Rebecca as an evasive wall. Swordmaster
In my opinion it's easier to use Guy as the bullet-dodger (just take his weapons).

Swordmaster
There are better dodgers than Guy. True enough, but I have faith in him and his bullet-dodging skills. I love those odd chances where an enemy misses with 97 hit.

Smashy B
I chose to train Nino, and I was able to easily train her just by using the mine trick. Needless to say, she is the best character in the game, IMO. I maxed out everything besides her defense. And I used Afa's drops too.
SMoS
Nino. On my first playthrough of the game, I hated her to no end. Second playthrough, it was unchanged. Present time. NINO IS THE BEST SAGE TO EVER WALK THE EXISTENCE OF FE. I am currently on my 5th *good* playthrough and I'm not bothereing to raise her ONLY because of incorrect supporting and lack of stats on Raven which screwed with my gameplan. Otherwise she would easily end up as a long term unit. I mean, I have NEVER 20/20'd her and she has always, and I mean ALWAYS turned out excellently assuming that I put in the effort. And the fact that I play this on my GBA Gamepak forces me to put in extra effort. But I have twice prometed her on Night of Farewells and 3 times killed Sonia with her. True, Priscilla generally is easier to use because of how early you get her and the fact that you raise her through staves. But the only stat that Priscilla can max at 30 is luck. Nino has Mag, Spd, Skl, and Res that she almost always maxes, and sometimes luck as well. If only she had come in a few chapters earlier. :( At that, her supports with Rebecca, Canas, and Erk are all fairly easy to get, assuming it isn't a ranked playthrough. Plus, they're all fairly useful supports. My Sage rankings for FE7- Nino. Self explanatory, just put in the effort and reap the rewards. Erk. You get him early on and he's fairly effective as long as his fluctuating growths don't screw you. Pent. I have to put him last as he is a prepromote. A good one, yes, easily better than everyone's favorite Overused paladin, Seth, but once again, as long as the effort is put forward for Nino and Erk's growths don't jerk you around, he falls short in comparison to the others. *Edit* To the post above me, the mine trick sounds like an excellent plan.. Maybe I'll try that. Edited July 29, 2008 by SMoS
