Approximate ideal turncounts for LTCs/Efficient playthroughs

Hey.

This is directed towards people who are interested in playing this the way most people here play this. You know, efficient or LTC playthroughs. I think tier lists should point out the ideal tourncounts of each game. An approximity, not exact turncounts.

For example:

FE10 (HM assumed): 210-230 turns.

This would probably help those people in their Efficient/LTC playthroughs to see what their goal, and maybe try to beat it. To set standard on things, you know.

210-30 turns for FE10? Ha ha.

175 or so should be possible reliably if transfers are given. Below 200 is a definite without transfers.

Pointing out approximate ideal/goal turncounts gives the player an idea of what he could strive for when they do a playlogged playthrough as well as give them some idea of what we're going for exactly when it comes to debating.

But you could find this out yourself. Either by playing through the game and checking out yourself what is possible or by reading Draft playlogs, as they contain turncounts and give a good idea of what TC you can achieve in a particular chapter.

People constantly go "this or that doesn't happen [if you're playing efficiently/by the tier list's assumptions]," though. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the burden of proof/explanation of that to be on them, and for it to be specified exactly what they're assuming happens. Besides, Soul just gave a hypothetical, not a real example.

At least civ players tend to be relatively open about what turn victory they're going for when discussing single-player strategy. It'd be nice if fe players could do the same.

For one, very few draft play logs of say, fe7 contain teams with Florina,Fiora and Heath on the same team. One could assume that TCs would be less (an unspecified amount less) with such a team. Draft play logs are /pretty good/ but they are awfully situational and often miss key components for more challenging chapters.

Drafts usually take more turns in the beginning and less towards the end, because your less-than-optimal team gets their levels (that they wouldn't really get in a run with a full team) and you can pretty much throw them anywhere with a Hand Axe/Javelin and have them ORKO everything, especially on Normal Mode.

I'm not sure if all three fliers are really mandatory in FE7 LTC, though. It does seem like having all three available is the only way to 2-turn chapter 25, though.
