Raven
If you can't feel pain, you won't know when that heart attack hits, and you'll just be like, instantly dead or something. How would it even work if you can't feel pain during a heart attack? Would you just carry on doing stuff as it happens then feel tired and die, or what? BK-201
If by suffer we mean feel, no I would not want the elimination of pain no matter how much I can hurt. However if you mean eliminating the suffering of pain in that I don't have to suffer when I pain, perhaps as long as I am still aware I'm in pain and should back off. Renne
Same answer as yesterday. No. I would not be the person that I am without fear and pain. Even if it's hurt me a lot, emotional and physical, still no. It's what makes us humans.
Original Alear
Fear not, mortals. There will be no end to your suffering. OK SERIOUSLY doesn't that mean they're actually immortal. WTF stop trying to get shit through the filter (that is the me). And yes, I would, because Thomas Covenant says "pain is proof of existence", ergo if I stopped feeling pain there'd by no proof of my existence and I'd vanish into the void. Interest
New question! ...I really didn't want to talk about this, but things have reached a head, so I can't really avoid it... Youtube changes a lot. I thought this whole recent change to the comment section wasn't a big deal initially. It was annoying, yes, but I could at least sort the comments and being able to edit mistakes out of my comments was nice. However, this has recently come to a head where people are spamming "Bob," doge, links (to porn, viruses, etc), movie scripts, (entire) books, and so on in the Youtube comment sections. Furthermore, Youtube comments with large amounts of replies are the ones that frequently tend to show in top comments and because of the "large number of reply" favoritism, controversial comments are more likely to display at the top. This has led to many of the larger channels disabling comments entirely and asking Youtube to revert the change they made to the comment section in terms of integration with Google+. So that brings me to today's question: What do you think of the recent Youtube comment changes? After learning about all of this, I want to see a more or less full reversion and review of what they could do to make the integration better, if integration should happen at all. I would at least like to be able to retain the ability to* edit my comments (obviously with a "last edited" timestamp so trolls can't make replies seem more controversial than they actually are) just because, but I did like the old comment sections a lot more than this.
