JSND Alter Dragon Boner
Hi, I have too many serious business playlog(actually theres two) so I suppose making an easier to manage playlog once in a while is cool The game will be played on Lunatic Mode, on a first run MU usage will be limited, and eventually, no MU because I can't figure out a luck less strats for Chapter 1 >_> Also no DLC That being said [spoiler=Chapter 1] Deployment: Cav Rody Merc MU SM Aran Hunter Draug Archer Ryan Archer Gordin Cleric Ceccile Strats: Have Arran go to the corner and bait 2 Fighter, with MU on the other side near the spot where the thief will spawn. Next turn, cleans up, and put Rody on the attack range of the last fighter from the North. To beat the thief, I heal MU, chips with him, and have someone else cleans up FInally, I plant SM!Aran on a fort and use the savepoint. I need 2 Miss from the fighter(48 HT), in order to survive the Archer(69 HT) next Turn, feed the kills to the Archers, and its straightforward from here on 28 Turns! JSND Alter Dragon Boner
Maybe, Im not sure how to handle the Dracoknights spam though for the early game [spoiler=Chapter 2] Deployment: Marth Cleric!Cecille Cleric!Malliesia Cav!Rody Hunter!Draug Archer!Gordin Archer!Ryan Dracoknight!Arran Strats: To sum up this chapter, basically this is a good chapter to show how amazing fliers really is. The strats for the first turns are simple, everyone except for Catria and Arran East, and draw in some Hunter and Soldiers, and, eventually the Cavalier. This one is simpler to handle. Considering that LS is such an amazing Item, I decided to get the damn thing, which is surprisingly easy. Basically, have Arran and Catria fly exactly one panel before the combined attack zone of..... tons of stuff. The river on the left area is surprisingly helpful for this task. Eventually, Arran can get 2 Free Turn to Javelin strike the thief, and still being outside a Hunter attack range for 2 turn. After this, escape to the river. As for the boss and his dracoknight squad, Arran on the left, Marth and Rody on the middle. Cleans up with Archer next turn. As a sidenote, I can actually get a consistent version of this strats by simply deploying Archer!Luke, but alas, Ryan is a bro who crits the boss, so im not complaining 22 Turn 6 CHAPTERS LESS LAME HOW Anyway Catria, Cord, Warren, and Linde joined Catria is basically like a flying tank. She never gains anything but Defense If characters are judged based on their potraits, Cord would be like God Tier. Sadly its not. Dude don't even have D Axe Warren is pretty bro, because he is a Hunter who can use Bows competently Good Bow users being useful? What is wrong with this game? JSND Alter Dragon Boner
At the time where JSND tried to complete Lunatic of the most Dragon Bonerific Fire Emblem of ALL TIME Double Update! [spoiler=Chapter 3] Deployment: Marth Mage!Cecille Cleric!Malliesia Cav!Rody Hunter!Draug Archer!Gordin Archer!Ryan Dracoknight!Arran Forge a +3 Steel Bow(misclick. Don't blame me >_>) Strats: PALLA! Main Team: Start by drawing in the Dracoknight Squad on the right, and snipe all 3 of the Dracoknights down. Move Marth from the left side and get both of the village(for completionist sake. The bridge key is not used at all) followed by the team. Palla: At the same time, start turn 1 by moveing from up-most panel to the left. Avoid the attack range of the Dracoknights. There will be tons of Cavalier reinforcement from the fort, so avoid the fort for all cost. Done properly, Palla will regroup with Marth + Bord(from the village) after getting attacked by a Dracoknight. Cover Palla with Marth and Bord, and equip Bord with the Hammer. Palla's 2 Silver Lance Strike + Bord's 1 Hammer Strike = Dead Dracoknight, avoiding the second attack that would kill Bord. Now that the hard part is done, use a bridge as a chokepoint to handle the Cavaliers. As for the rest of the Dracoknight Squad They will not move in unless they got a kill, or the enemy can't hit back. Therefore, I used my Hunter Draug who can survive a hit from the Silver Axe Dracoknight to draw them in. Clean up, and the next(and final) Dracoknight squad will chase after you. I weaken one of the DK with Dracoknight Arran, and clean them up. Now go after the village, and kill the boss Yay [spoiler=Chapter 3x] Deployment: Marth Mage!Cecille Cav!Rody Fighter!Bord Peg!Palla Peg!Catria Strats: Put Rody on the fort and Bord equipped with a Hammer below him Move Palla on a save spot on the nearest mountains Catria, Cecille, and Marth stayed behind Bord and Rody Move WRYSSSS away Cleans the Archer and the Armors. After this part, its kinda self explanatory. Although to play it safe, I make sure that Palla killed the last Archer with a Javelin, so that she can fly far enough to Silver Lance the Archer that chases after Wrys. Stats Update: - New Units: Palla is basically Catria with better base and an ability to get Strength [spoiler=Proof] You will never see something like this with Palla because she can actually get STR! Matthew is a thief with a combat ability that is impossibru to Salvage Matthis is kinda surprising, having 21/9 HP/DEF, although I don't like him, so I won't use him often, if at all Bord is capable of using Hammer. And thats all I can say about him. Might use him long term for that C Axe Rank, but we'll see. PKL
That's a bro Ryan. But keeping him as an archer is kinda bad. Ideally he wants to go Myrmidon, build Sword rank and then alternate between Swordmaster/Sniper until he wants/can do Horseman. As for Palla, yeah, shes like Catria except with bases, silver lance and a lot more str and looks. She's <

Redwall
Catria (w/ the Elysian Whip) does eventually eclipse Palla in overall usefulness imo, but it won't be till around Ch. 18 or so. Palla's Lck growth really is terrible, making her prone to getting crit-blicked in Chapters 21 and beyond, and she also has trouble reaching the Paladin Spd cap. But until then, yeah, Palla's way better than Catria, especially considering you're not using the base stat-boosters or the RP (either of which is sufficient to patch up Catria's Str). JSND Alter Dragon Boner
Gosh, this chapter take me like.... one day [spoiler=Chapter 4] Deployment: Marth Cav!Cecille Cleric!Malliesia Cav!Rody Hunter!Draug Peg!Palla Peg!Catria Mage!Linde Archer!Ryan Swordmaster!Arran One chapter before the Goddess with the Spear re-joined! I tried to use Cavalier Palla and Catria for this map once. Simply put, its a bad Idea because of the Desert Panel >_> Turn 1: I forgot what I do(Palla killed Barb, Catria killed a Hunter, and Chip + Hit stuff), but thats basically how it ends up. Maliessia should have moved like 1 more panel to enter the fort. Misplay at its best Rescue Marth, recruit Kashim, and put Ogma in range of a fighter to the left EP: Catria attacked by the Barb, Ogma chips the Barb Turn 2: Marth ORKO the Fighter that is chipped by Ogma. Kashim chips followed by Ogma for a kill Cover the fort and move Palla and Rody to the right IIRC Palla combats the thief at the enemy phase Turn 3: Kill the thief. Put Marth and Ogma to the mountain. Put Kashim on range of a Hunter Rody is put in range of a Fighter, while Palla is 2 panel up from him Turn 4/5: Palla moves in closer to Marth's group, while Rody moves back to bait up the fighter rush The group behind cleans up all the reinforcements and the barb, while Palla + Marth + Kashim is more than enough to handle the group that attacked Marth. IIRC the reinforcement from the fort stopped around Turn 5 After everything ends, recruit Sirius Finally, for the Hunter + Hand Axe Barb + 30 ATK Barb, put Sirius in range of the 30 ATK Barb, and Draug inside of the edge of Hand Axe Barb attack range Mook cleared up, and the boss is a matter of save point aboose I admit, this is perhaps the hardest chapter I ever played, and it was satisfying, if not for the fact that.... well, Rody dodged once. Should I reload and get the Shaver? New Character: We get Sirius, Ogma, Yubello, and Yumina Sirius is a pre-promote with awesome Weapon Rank, so basically its time to retire Arran. I doubt I will use him that much, but he is going to be deployed in the finale. Besides, he is the only competent Dracoknight that I can have at this point of the game, or Sniper!Sirius Ogma is in a grey zone. One on hand, B Class Set with C Sword is awesome. On the other hand, I don't exactly have a unit slot to put him, beetwen Cecille, Rody, the 3 Goddess, and Ryan + Draug, and then Malliesia Yubello sucks. JSND Alter Dragon Boner
Time for Triple Update [spoiler=Chapter 5] Deployment Peg!Palla Peg!Catria Cav!Sheeda Draco!Sirius Priest!Cecille Hunter!Draug Archer!Ryan Cav!Rody Julian Merc!Ogma I start by putting Palla in range of a Mage, and have Sirius rushes forward to chase off a Thief and have everyone follow Palla, but outside the range of any of the enemies. Ogma recruited Barst Turn 1 Turn 2, I handle the Mages with Marth(who doubled them), Barts, and Ogma Draug chipped a Thief for Catria. Palla and Sirius chipped a Cavs for Rody and Sheeda. Following the enemy phase, there is only one more Cavs that attacked Sheeda. Turn 3 - 5: In this position, the Dracoknight will attack Sirius from below This is to lure the Dracoknights to fly closer to the main group, so that Sirius only need to fight 1 Dracoknight They decided to attack Draug and Ryan I really wondered if this AI quirks is made on purpose I tried to recruit Rickard this chapter, which is done by making Sirius block the path to the escape point, forcing him to return. As for the Snipers squad: They will attack Draug and Ryan, which allows me to clean up and box all of them in one shot Give Iron Sword to Ogma, and allow him to chips and Jeorge for lulz. Sadly, this is not as effective as I want it to be, because there is an EXP decay >_< For the Boss Squad, looking back, I can make it easier by attacking from the North side I bait and switched the 3 Knights. After this, put Palla, Sirius and Catria on the attack range of the Ballistae because it is ineffective against Fliers. By putting Sirius one panel on the right of the boss, he will not get attacked by 2 aggroing enemies. After this, its a simple clean up and a trip to get Hammene. I bought some Door Key for lulz I DEMAND A RAGEQUIT [spoiler=Chapter 6] Before this chapter, I used base Arena on Palla, and promote her at level 17. Lets hope it did not bit me in the ass Paladin!Palla Peg!Catria Cav!Sheeda Paladin!Sirius Mage!Cecille Pirate!Draug Archer!Ryan Cav!Rody Julian Priest!Malliesia Palladin is clutch for this chapter Sirius takes Leo Turn 1: Palla moves in the range of the Mages guarding the treasure chest and use the Pure Water. Put Draug in range of one Mage as well Sheeda and Sirius is positioned on the left to kill the Knight Julian goes to the Bullion(L) chest Turn 2: Palla chases off the Siege Tomes Mage. Mage!Ceccile ORKO the Mage below Ryan Chips an Armor for Sirius Malieasia healed Sheeda Sheeda and Catria cleans up the remaining enemies Feed the Mage to Draug Move Julian closer to the chest The Thoron Mage attacked Palla and get killed on EP Turn 3 - 5: Palla regroups, and uses Vulnerary, and she get a Heal so that she can fight off the reinforcement By Turn 4, is positioned to fight off the Javelin Soldier and Silver Lance Soldier, which she ORKOes Palla moves one panel left to the left Pilar, which allows her to take a hit from the Javelin Soldier. Thanks to this, the rest of the reinforcements is an easy picking for the whole team. The final Wave is handled by putting Leo!Rody and Palla as a chokepoint duty Not rigged. I sware Until Turn 28: I openned the left door and tanked the Hero + Mage with Iron Sword Leo!Palla and leave Cecille, Marth, and Ryan on the right The rest of the team rushes to the left. Rody with Iron Sword chokes the Sniper + Samto. Sheeda recruited Samto and chipped the Mage. Palla with Iron Sword chipped again for Rody. Finally, after putting Sheeda on the Blind spot of the Throne Room, Draws in the Armor Knights with Palla(left) and Ryan(right, inside the attack range of a Javelin Armor Knights) Cleans up and kill Lang(which is easy, but I decided to feed the kills to Ryan for no reason) BTW the Save points are used to rig Ceccile and Ryan's level up. Sue me What a beautiful Duwang Turn counts [spoiler=Epic Stuff] I really want to use this guy.... 16 SPD as a Paladin is funny This guy does not get to be deployed for like.... 7 Chapters right now wtf [spoiler=Chapter 6x] I think Jeigan explained this chapter the best You can use Coin Toss to beat them, its that easy! commonguard
Well, fine. But I hope to see something like a 12 turn of C7 where you kill off a lot Astram`s heroes and maybe an 8 turn of C8 where you fight the reinforcement generals. Although, considering the group of units you chose to use (added to the fact you aren`t even using MU), might be hard to stay on those maps for a long time. Kudos ahead of time if you manage it, it would definitely be harder than LTC or efficient strategies.

PKL
I don't see how the group he chose to use is impeding those things you mentioned commonguard. He's using a lot of good units. Including the next best set of units after Avatar for a run like this, the whole 7th platoon and Catria, Palla and Caeda. In my Avatar-less LTC test run, I used Luke Rody Cecille and Ryan. Although once I make a video playthrough of it, I'm also going to ban Palla Catria and Caeda from the run. JSND Alter Dragon Boner
@Elliot: gonna watch later, lol. I'm on phone Looking back, if I manage to choke it properly, I can clean the Archers with Palla + Sheeda + Catria I'm not really seeing the chance to fight the heroes squad @common: 22 AS means the only unit that does not get doubled is the big 3(2 of which is 2 hit units), and Ceccile(who is dead when anything stares at her) As a matter of fact, my current mindframe for ch 7 is a 5 turn clear that skipped Master Seal and Wo Dao, kinda hypocritical to do this on a casual playthrough, especially one with blessed big 3, Ryan, and Rody >_> @PKL: objection! I dun use Luke! Edited September 8, 2013 by JSND
