It was between a newspaper stand and a wall (those are narrow to pass by) and I couldn't just cross the street mid-way through because it would be too obvious, so I just passed by and, unexpectedly, one of the girls was talking to me. I had earphones on, so I couldn't listen, but I was nervous so I kept on walking. It was actually funny, but at the moment, I felt pretty nervous. Well your situation isn't as pathetic as mine, that was when I was a junior or senior in college. Girls are only not terrifying when I've been friendzoned, personally.
