LOL Newcomers can have much trouble with FE though (I certainly remember the first time I played it...). FE11 was partially the product of the desire to make permadeath less unforgiving for newcomers. Gaiden characters were a part of that. Yeah, Norne over Gordin is a common decision. I can't bring myself to intentionally kill off characters though. I'm watching a German LP of FE11 atm. This guy brought about to kill Ogma. The fun fact: In the same episode he said a few minutes before his death: It's hard that units can be killed. I'm not sure what you mean here. Wolf and Sedgar just have good growths. I always thought their growths are only made better, because they're promoted and get very few experience in earlygame. Roger's recruitment was not an improvement over the original FE1 though (but it was an improvement over FE3). :) FE1 / 11 Caeda x Roger is my absolute favorite recruitment! In FE1 (I believe) everyone gets the same experience and in FE11. It's degressive as in the other modern FE games. So that's maybe the reason, why their growths are increased.
