PM ME MARIANNE ART Posted June 18, 2015 Share Posted June 18, 2015 Joker Nyx. no It seems like they tried to reproduce locations from the Prime game, but with a more cartoony style, which kinda didn't work. To be fair, I've heard before that Retro was working with some of the best artists in the industry when they made the Prime games, but it still feels really generic and lacking in details. Maybe because it's an early build of the game and/or it's 3DS footage on a big screen? Last year, they said that they had plans for both the classical Metroid style like Super and Fusion as well as Prime style games. Add that it was stated that Retro was working on a big project and people were getting hopeful that we'd see a Wii U Metroid. Turns out its a spin-off and the director of the Prime games stated that they're still looking for a dev for the next Prime game and that it would probably be for the NX, so the only Metroid presence we would get for this gen is a spin-off and no mention of the series 30 years.
