MisterIceTeaPeach
[spoiler=Is this normal?] Did it happen to someone else that the circle pad of the 3DS dropped?I played Project X Zone after a quite while. Yeah, it's game I must use the circle pad widly, but I expected that Nintendo consoles would take it... Now my question: I could play it without the circle pad theoretically. However I'm a little bit worried that I'm going to destroy more... Shall I let repair the 3DS or can I let it be how it is atm? All the other games can be played without circle pad anyway. PXZ is the only game I have to use it quite a lot.

Naughx
@Jules, maybe you should call Nintendo Germany. Dunno really it is up to you.
DodgeDusk
Sticking it back on with some super glue works. Otherwise, buying a replacement/sending it to Nintendo works, but that costs money
Naughx
Yes, you can use glue too. >.< Edited November 18, 2015 by Naughx
MisterIceTeaPeach
I see. Thx for your support! I'm trying to glue it somehow. And if it still doesn't work, I must let repair it. My poor wallet. To be fair I could live without it. Then I couldn't play PXZ anymore which wouldn't be a that big deal. All the other games don't require the circle pad all that much (Tales of the Abyss a bit though).
DodgeDusk
Try and use something that won't leave a huge mess; and apply it as thinly and evenly as possible. I tried looking up a guide you could have followed, but I found nothing

Starman
didnt actually look over it whoops *slaps self awake* [spoiler=Is this normal?] Did it happen to someone else that the circle pad of the 3DS dropped?I played Project X Zone after a quite while. MisterIceTeaPeach
Glued it. I'll see the result in a bit, because it must dry. I don't want to invest all that much in my 3DS. I've the bad feeling that a repair at Nintendo won't be favorable (+ delivery charges). It's actually a joke that circle pads are fragile since games like Smash Bros exist. How old is your 3DS Jules? About 2,5 years. It's the FE13 version. The guarantee is timed up (lasted 2 years). Edited November 18, 2015 by Mister IceTeaPeach
Starman
most you can do at this point is just get some strong enough glue and apply it so there won't be much of a mess but it sounds like you got to it already so thats good
MisterIceTeaPeach
Using the circle pad normally works for now. However I guess it'll be a different thing, when I'm playing PXZ again. I just shouldn't move it like a nerd.
Naughx
glue and tape are the best thing to fix broken stuff.
MisterIceTeaPeach
Yeah. It's just a little bit tricky with electronic appliances, especially if I have to glue a very small area like in this case.
FrostyFireMage
I still don't get how people can break their 3ds circlepads Do they apply mega horsepower to it or something?
Starman
Some games are crazy They need you to abuse the shit out of your controller Or something

FrostyFireMage
Maybe the reason I suck at Smash is because I don't go all out like that.

secondworld
lel fighters on 3ds ouch Very lel, though apparently the DoA game was decent? My original 3DS had gotten rather beat-up over the years, which is why I got a new 3DS XL. Still kept the old one though, now I can trade between Y and Omega Ruby on my own. MisterIceTeaPeach
Is Project X Zone a fighting RPG or action RPG? Haven't played any games like this before, so my lack of knowledge. Surprisingly my circle pad survived Smash. Edited November 18, 2015 by Mister IceTeaPeach
