These things in bold are skippable. The plot hell, is skippable. Just mash the start button if you don't want this only conquests though but tbf, it's because it's story is bad I'm not too fond of how children returned in this game either but on the bright side they are implemented far better than in Awakening from a gameplay perspective. The really were implemented weirdly "OUR WORLD IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR OUR KIDS, SO LET'S STUFF THEM IN THE HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER UNTIL THEY COINCIDENTALLY GROW UP AND WANNA JOIN UP FOR FAMILY BONDING" Another bright side is that some of them are good characters regardless.
